Taylor Lautner Trying To Get ‘Twilight’ Werewolf Role Again

Nothing in Hollywood is guaranteed and it seems being a part of the super successful film ‘Twilight’ doesn’t mean you will be granted that same role in the next film, as hottie Taylor Lautner is finding out. For the sequel, ‘New Moon’ Lautner has to beef up his body to play the part of Jacob Black the werewolf and the actor is currently meeting with new director, Chris Weitz, to prove his abilities.
“I have been working out. I’ve been working out since the day we finished filming Twilight. I just weighed myself today; I’ve put on 19 lbs.,” Lautner told MTV on Wednesday night at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s Salute to Young Hollywood.
Lautner is currently in competition for the part with actor Michael Copon of ‘Scorpion King 2′.

Ugh, Michael Copon?
Why not Steven Strait? There’s a petition going on that if Summit has decided to boot out Taylor Lautner and if its down between Steven Strait or Michael Copon, then im 100% Steven Strait.
Besides, Stephenie Meyer’s first cast of Jacob Black was Steven Strait. She wanted Steven Strait to play Jacob Black. (Go to her website, Movie Archives to confirm this. Its there.)
But then, Taylor Lautner got the role.

Michael Copon looks good for the part and all, but they have already established Taylor as Jacob, and now I can’t see it any other way. He had this somehow awesome awkwardness that I have never seen in Michael, who seems to take on very cocky roles. I hope they keep Taylor–at least he’s the right age for it.

HECK NO!!!! i love taylor and i cant believe that summit would even think of fireing him!!!!! plus you could alway do the speacial effect to make him look stronger than it looks. remember this people wont like the movie as much if you switch the characters!!!!. so i hope taylor gets the part!!!!!

OKAY! First of i wanted Steven Strait to play Jacob in the first place. My favorite character is JACOB! I think Taylor is cute an all, but he isn’t sexy! FACE IT! IF your a true twilight fan you will get over your stupid girl crush and look at the facts. Jacob is cocky and buff with a hint of sexy in him. Taylor is cute. NOT SEXY! put who ever on the set. Taylor doesnt look old enough to play jacob again. PLUSS he is supposed to look way diffrent in new moon (if you read the book) Bella didn’t even notice him at first!!!!

Taylor is perfect for the role of Jacob.
He’s a bl**dy good actor,
The correct age,
And has a sense of mystery about him and has the dark and handsom appearance.
Taylor has already been established as this role and it would be rather dissapointing if summit dont decide to keep him!
Not only this but it gives young girls hope having a 17 yr old in a movie, rather than a 20 something. I’m 18 and it makes a nice change seeing someone my age play a major character in such a success as Twilight.

I swear if they fire Taylor, i’m not going to watch the Twilight series anymore!!!!!!!!!!!! Taylor is the best actor for the job of jacob. In my opion, his body is fine. I’ts not just the people he plays, it’s his personality that is amazing. he’s the frickin hottest person i’ve ever seen and one day hope to meet. Oh and #30 i agree with you, he has amazing eyes, he has an amazing body in general. I feel kind of bad for him though always being attacked by all of the twilight fans, and girls that are obsessed with him. I bet he wishes that sometimes he could just escape the pressures of being a celebrity. I bet if he were looking for a girlfriend he sould want one that can be silly and not all like trying to impress him all the time. but what do i know.
