Everyone wants in on Camp Rock and High School Musical’s success so Disney’s biggest rival, Nickelodeon is coming out with their version this February, called Spectacular! about a high school choir that is fading and losing members. To breathe new life into the group, a rock singer (played by Nolan Gerard Funk, pictured above with Tammin Sursok) is added to help win a contest.

The most controversial 16 year-old Disney star, Miley Cyrus, is about to launch her first autobiography as ridiculous as it may sound (she’s only 16 for God’s sake!). Well it seems like she has a lot to share with her fans:

Actress Dakota Fanning is just growing up so fast but still manages to look appropriate for her 14 years of age. She was nominated for “Best Young Actor/Actress” at the Critics’ Choice Award but didn’t win. Dakota has an amazing talent and there’s still plenty awards to win in the future.

A magical medieval world with fire eaters, villians and ferrets is brought to life by Meggie and her father Mo, just by reading the story aloud, ‘Inkheart’ comes to the theaters January 23rd. Starring Brendan Fraiser and Eliza Bennett; Cornelia Funke’s fantasy novel about a father and daughter with the unique gift to bring the characters they read out of the books and into their world.

The books were great and the movie looks promising. Can’t wait to check it out.

Miranda Cosgrove will host MTV’s upcoming special ‘Cribs Celeb Teen Countdown’ next saturday, January 17th at 12noon (ET/PT.) Featured hot properties will be Shaun White, Bow Wow, Omarion, Teddy Geiger and Aj & Aly. Infinti pools, high tech game rooms, movie theaters, clubs to hang out in and well stocked fridges are just some of the things they have to show. After the countdown show, MTV is airing an all new ‘Cribs: Teen Edition’ with Ryan Sheckler, Keke Palmer and Josh Hutcherson. Tune in next weekend to catch Miranda!

Nickelodeon’s wildly popular animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender is getting live action treatment from director M. Night Shyamalan and now Jesse McCartney is in talks to portray Zuko, the exiled and banished Prince of the Fire Nation. Nothing is confirmed as of yet.

The ‘Leaving’ singer is branching out more and more into acting, with a special appearance back in the fall on Law & Order: SVU and in March, he will be a multi-episode guest star on Greek.

Speaking of cast for The Last Airbender, (Avatar will be dropped from the movie title because Titanic director James Cameron has a new movie called Avatar coming out,) Jackson Rathbone (Jasper in ‘Twilight’ ) has been reportedly cast as Sokka, Aang’s sidekick and Katara’s brother. The Last Airbender is due out in 2010.

For her part in ‘The Secret Life of Bees’ actress Dakota Fanning was present tonight at the People’s Choice Awards in Los Angeles. American Idol alum and singer Jordin Sparks was also at the festivities. Both were dressed in a very similar blue cocktail type dress. Both teens looked great however similiar they ended up dressing.

Get ready for it. Disney is releasing Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience and it’s got lots of behind the scenes goodies and guest stars too: Demi Lovato and Taylor Swift.
