People magazine has a fashion faceoff feature and this week, it’s Camilla Belle and Lauren Conrad who are wearing the same dress (a sequined shift from 3.1 Philip Lim.)

Personally, I like the way Camilla wore it: belted and I love her shoes. I’m not loving her hair though. I don’t like the dress on Lauren, it’s not very flattering, in my opinion. Maybe if she belted it.

Yep it’s official. Stephanie Meyer, the author of the mega successful ‘Twilight’ series has confirmed on her website that actor Taylor Lautner will be reprising his role as Jacob the Werewolf for the second installment in the series. ‘New Moon’ director, Chris Weitz and Meyer have this to say:

Good news about New Moon from director Chris Weitz:

I’m very happy to announce that Taylor Lautner will be playing Jacob Black in New Moon and that he’s doing so with the enthusiastic support of Summit Entertainment, the producers, and Stephenie Meyer.

The characters in Stephenie’s books go through extraordinary changes of circumstance and also appearance; so it is not surprising that there has been speculation about whether the same actor would portray a character who changes in so many surprising ways throughout the series. But it was my first instinct that Taylor was, is, and should be Jacob, and that the books would be best served by the actor who is emotionally right for the part. I think that fans of Twilight the book and the movie will be surprised by the Jacob Black that Taylor will bring to the screen in New Moon; and I’m looking forward to working with him and the rest of the cast in realizing the film.

I’d just like to add that I was very much a part of this decision. My first priority was always what was best for New Moon—what was going to give us the best possible movie. I’m truly thrilled that Taylor was the one who proved to the director, to Summit, and to me that he is the best possible Jacob we could have. Selena Gomez has come out with a new platinum blonde look! She is a cutie but I think I prefer her as a brunette. Don’t worry guys, Selena is just wearing a wig to shot a scene or something…

The Jonas Brothers were on Radio Disney today and announced that yes, Demi Lovato will be out on tour later this year. All three brothers, Kevin, Nick and Joe were excited and anxious for their friend.

It was even revealed that at one concert, Kevin felt just like a father figure to Demi! Radio host Ernie D shared, “I remember when I was sitting right next to Kevin, and he started shaking. And I was like ‘what’s wrong Kevin?’ He’s like ‘now I know how my dad feels every time we go on….’ And Demi had just gone on stage.”

Kevin added, “I felt like a proud father!”

The four seem very close and it was really sweet of the brothers to announce it and be so supportive of her. They even mention trying to go to as many of her shows as they can.

For Ashley Tisdale, invading aliens may sound like a far cry from her High School Musical days but that is what the theme of her summer movie ‘They Came From Upstairs’ is all about. Here she is with co-star Austin Robert Butler, all smiles (he’s cute!)

The plot: a vacationing family in Maine discovers that aliens have invaded. The kids discover the mind control guns don’t work on them, so it’s up to them to protect and save their home. Sounds like fun!

Adessa Eskeridge is used to going about her business with no one paying attention, however when she got off a plane at Los Angeles International airport, she was used as a decoy for Jamie Lynn Spears to distract the paparazzi, without her consent. According to Eskeridge, she was not told the specifics of what airport security wanted her to do – she just followed their directions as a good citizen, not realizing the “pushing shoving and possible humilation…” she was about to endure. Her attorney, RJ Molligan states that Eskeridge was:

“never informed that upon deplaning, she would be mobbed by the paparazzi, that she would be in fear of her well-being, that her picture would be taken and that video of her would be all over the internet.”

And lastly, the woman says she has “suffered and continues to suffer great humiliation” as a result of that day.

Her attorney is asking for a $2 million dollar payout for Adessa’s troubles. That would be a lot of money for a short walk amongst the photographers…

Rumer Willis, daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore and step-daughter to Ashton Kutcher, will be the Miss Golden Globe trophy gal at The Golden Globes Awards ceremony in Los Angeles this year. Last year she was chosen as well, but due to the writer’s strike, the ceremony was cancelled. The job of handing out the statutes to the winners is tradionally given to children of actors and actresses, and Melanie Griffith, Laura Dern and Joely Fisher have all done the duty and gone on to great acting careers.

Country singing sensation Taylor Swift will be the musical guest this week (January 10th) on Saturday Night Live. It also turns out to be her mom’s birthday as well, and Swift is happy to have her mom there to celebrate.

In a message on her MySpace.com website, the excited teen writes, “I just found out that I get to play on Saturday Night Live!! January 10th! It’s my mom’s birthday.
“I don’t think either of us would’ve believed you if you would’ve told us a few years ago that we’d get to spend her birthday in New York City – at Saturday Night Live! Wow. It’s pretty unreal.”
Swift says her SNL debut is “something I’ve been dreaming about and hoping for and wishing for years.”

Hosting this week is Neil Patrick Harris. Should be a fun show.
