Disney star Selena Gomez, family and friends say goodbye to 2008 and make their New Year’s resolutions!

Eat healthy and exercise more!! Miley Cyrus is finally playing the role model! Too bad teenagers couldn’t care less about those things… girls, boys, you should all eat your greens and walk at least 30 minutes a day!!

 

Part of playing a vampire in the ‘Twilight’ films is looking the part described in the books. For the role of Edward Cullen, Robert Pattinson had to wear a golden, topaz colored pair of contacts to alter his eye color. According to Pattinson, these contacts are particularly uncomfortable and he felt like he had ‘sand in his eyes.’ They also stood in his way of emoting exactly what he wanted to portray in the scenes.

“It was frustrating as well because normally your eyes are saying something, but if you’ve got two orange blobs in your face it’s so annoying!”

It might have been difficult for him, but he will have to do it again as ‘New Moon’ starts filming in March.

 

Disney’s High School Musical star Zac Efron is happy happy happy about being in love with his co-star, Vanessa Hudgens. The actor is opening up to everyone about how he believes Hudgens has made him a better person.

He said: “You can’t describe the feeling of being in love – when you meet someone who makes you a better person.”

The twosome was recently voted The Cutest Couple of 2008.

Miley Cyrus spent Christmas with her family and close friend (*cough* boyfriend *cough*) Justin Gaston in her home in Nashville, Tennessee. Miley and Justin stayed pretty close together and both wearing their Hannah Montana t-shirts… how cute!?!

Gossip Girl star Taylor Momsen covers the latest issue of CosmoGirl Prom Edition. On interview Taylor shares her prom experiences, encourages us to have fun and gives us tips on what type of shoes to wear LOL!! Hey guys, is Taylor really dating co-star Chace Crawford or what??

On her prom experience: “Most of my friends were seniors and they were like, ‘You sit at our table every day, so you have to come to our prom.’ It’s fun to say our prom was on Friday the 13th. I’ll never forget the date!”

On the perfect pair of shoes to dance in: “Everyone else took off their shoes as soon as they got there, but I kept my feet clean. I never get into the vanity of that type of thing. It’s with my friends. If I’m uncomfortable, then I’m not even in my own skin. You can look good and still be comfortable.” (She donned white Vans sneakers.)

On her advice: “Go [to prom]! I don’t live a traditional life, so I’m glad I went. It’s an important life stepping stone that everyone should experience.”

It was cold cold cold in New York City on New Years Eve, but The Jonas Brothers, Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato all managed to brave the chill, look fabulous in black coats and smile for ‘Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Years Eve’ bash. Ryan Seacrest and Lionel Richie are also pictured here.

Due to Kevin, Joe and Nick’s popularity, New York City police were out in full force to protect the guys from the massive crush of teen fans that had been waiting for the guys all day.

 

It seems its getting closer to being bad news for fans of Taylor Lautner (pictured right) as Jacob in the next ‘Twilight’ movie installment: ‘New Moon.’ Reports are surfacing again of Michael Copon (left photo) replacing the fan popular Lautner because the character of Jacob the werewolf matures and changes so fast in the sequel. New director Chris Weitz and the movie studio feel it would be too much time and money to use Lautner in the role when Copon already has the body and an ‘older’ look.

I would hate to see Lautner lose the role, but at the same time, the character physically changes so dramatically in ‘New Moon’  (not just when he’s the werewolf,) I think it might make more sense for Copon to be chosen. Lautner has said he is working on his body – working out and adding muscle – to show Weitz and the movie studio he can still be Jacob. I still like Lautner better, but I guess we will all know for sure in March, when filming begins.
