MTV has released its list of hot guys, Male Pop MVP’s and what they have upcoming in 2009 to watch for. The list includes The Jonas Brothers and Zac Efron, but for now, let’s look at Robert Pattinson. Yes he’s in the sequel to ‘Twilight.’ and ‘New Moon’ starts filming in March. He has completed ‘Little Ashes.’ Due out in April, the film is about the early life of complicated and brilliant artist, Salvador Dali. He’s had to drop out of ‘Parts Per Billion’ the indie film he was signed on to do with Rosario Dawson as filming conflicted with the latest installment of author Stephanie Meyer’s world of vampires.

What else can we expect from Pattinson this upcoming year? Well certainly more film roles (nothing confirmed yet, but he will certainly try to film something else before he hits the publicity tour for Moon in the fall,) and maybe we will hear more music from him. He had 2 songs on the ‘Twilight’ soundtrack but he’s said music is his back-up plan to acting. Unlikely more music, but you never know. One thing is certain, it will be a busy year for him and an interesting one for us fans to watch.

As Hannah Montana‘s popularity begins to take over her life, Miley Stewart (Miley Ray Cyrus), on the urging form her father (Billy Ray Cyrus) taken a trip to her hometown of Crowley Corners, Tennessee to get some perspective on what matters in life the most. In Nashville, TN, Miley Stewart rides horses and lives life the way she did before she was Hannah Montana. Her new love interest is Travis Brody.

“Hannah Montana: The Movie” will come out April 10th.

Actress Taylor Momsen isn’t afraid to face the snow in New York while filming some scenes for Gossip Girl. I just can’t understand the whole ripped thighs fashion statement… it must be in style right now but I don’t get it! I think it just gives you a homeless look.

Before his big success in movies like “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” and “Twilight”, Robert Pattinson was also a model for a short time. His short modeling career ended because he grew up and got a distinctive masculine look, according to Patrick.

Pattinson said: “When I first started I was quite tall and looked like a girl, so I got lots of jobs, because it was during that period where the androgynous look was cool. Then, I guess, I became too much of a guy, so I never got any more jobs. I had the most unsuccessful modeling career.”

See these then-and-now photos closely and it seems like Robert definitely got a nose job and maybe some jaw implants. He must have done something because he certainly looks really different now and way better. So what do you??

She is someone who has said she never wants to get married and now Amanda Bynes is split from her boyfriend of one year, Doug Reinhardt. It appears her friends didn’t trust the baseball player, believing he was using her for fame.

“She ended it. She had had enough,” a source close to the actress tells Usmagazine.com. “Her friends didn’t trust him. Everyone thought he was using her for celebrity. He was not good, and she was over it. It was definitely her who ended it.”

Ouch! Sounds like she needed to get rid of him.

Having anything short of a perfect body in Hollywood is truly the last taboo. Actress Raven-Symone is speaking out to young girls to help them with their body issues. She is hosting a self-esteem workshop with 100 girls ages 11 and 12 in Cape May NJ, sponsored by Dove. Her philosophy for handling people critical of her is simple: don’t let it get under your skin.

“People come up to me and have certain words for me, but you know what I do? I say, ‘I’m healthy, I exercise, I believe in myself, and I think I’m beautiful,’ ” she says. “You just have to learn how to transform the pressures into something that doesn’t soak into you on a personal level. You see it, you breathe past it, you don’t let it sink into your self-esteem.”

And to enforce her positive mantra, if something’s got her down, Raven has a simple technique. “At the end of the day I’ll call my best friend and yell and scream and get it out,” she says. “And the next morning, it’s out of my system.”

She also calls her mom – who does what all great moms do – her mom builds her up and gives her a confidence boost. A great positive story about someone giving back and helping others.

 

Trying to stay warm in chilly frigid New York City right now is a challenge. Gossip Girls Leighton Meester and Jessica Szohr manage to look fabulous while fighting off the cold winds the big apple is experiencing. Outdoors for a scene from their show, the pair look cute and stylish of course!

 

With her new film Hotel for Dogs aimed at a younger audience, Emma Roberts is experiencing that in-between stage lots of actors and actresses face: do you continue with teen oriented films for as long as you can, or do you make the break for it and try to move into more grown-up themed films?

Roberts recently finished shooting the independent film “The Winning Season” from writer-director James Strouse (“Grace Is Gone”). It’s the kind of role that suggests a transition away from tween material is in the works. “It’s happened naturally, which is what I wanted. I could definitely play younger and I could definitely play older, which is what’s good about being 17,” Roberts said.

The young actress – last year picked by Vanity Fair among “Hollywood’s New Wave” – has been home-schooled her entire life. (“I’ve only been to high school in a movie,” she says.) She’s now, though, applying to colleges, where she hopes to study literature. She says that while she wouldn’t be able to turn down a “great project” if it came along, she does want to focus on college.

I really like Emma and can’t wait to see what she does next.

Hotel for Dogs opens Friday january 16th.

Harry Potter is certainly left behind in this film. Actor Rupert Grint, now 20, is working on films with a definite edge to them and Cherrybomb is no exception. We will see Grint in some steamy scenes with his co-star (and rumored off-screen girlfriend) Kimberly Nixon.

I think this is a great move for him. He needs to be thought of as an actor, not just the ‘Ron Weasley’ character and by taking roles that are so different, he will be able to have a long career in acting, if he chooses.

 

In a blue teardrop shaped bottle, Jesse McCartney launches himself into the fragrance game with Wanted. The scent, due out sometime this year, has jasmine, rose blossom and chilled apple added to give it a confident and romantic air.
