Celebrities often start their own clothing line with mixed results. Gwen Stefani has L.A.M.B. and does well, Victoria Beckham has DVB and is not as successful. Now Emma Watson is rumoured to be entering the cutthroat design world as well. The soon-to-be Yale freshman will be working on a clothing line all her own and proceeds are going to UNICEF. Can’t wait to see haute couture loving Emma’s stylish clothes.

The sports world has a new rising star in 15 year old Laura Robson. Wimbledon, the great British tennis tournament, will see Robson (who was last year juniors champion) head into the professional ladies arena and give the older gals a run for their prize money. Robson is England’s best shot at taking the title back in a long time and while the teen will unlikely place any higher than round 2 or 3 this yeart, everyone is watching the talented teenager with anticipation.

“This is a match in which she has absolutely nothing to lose. She can go out there and play. She’s a wonderful shot-maker and I think the exciting thing about this match is that she’s playing someone who is also an exciting shot maker. I’m sure Laura will give a good account of herself.”

It will be fun to watch Robson as she grows into her tennis career. Go Laura!!

Miley Cyrus made a surprise appearance to sing the last song “Before The Storm” with Nick Jonas on stage at the Jonas Brothers concert in in Arlington, Texas on Saturday (June 20).

Miley and Nick kiss at the end of the song. I guess that makes it official: Miley Cyrus dumps Justin Gaston to get back to her Prince Charmin Nick Jonas and live happily ever after… we hope so!

The adorable Disney duo of Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato got themselves (politely) tossed out of a prom they crashed this weekend in Toronto. The BFF’s were celebrating the premiere of their upcoming movie, Princess Protection Program (airing June 26th on the mouse network) when Gomez discovered the prom happening as she took a little breather from the promotion.

“She [Gomez] kindly asked the security guard if she could check out the scene and once inside, the Disney Channel star surprised a group of girls dancing in the middle of the floor by rocking out with them for a few songs.”

Enlisting Lovato and a few friends, the girls headed back to Etobicoke Collegiate Institute’s festivities where they enjoyed the dance for a bit until 11pm, when they were asked to leave because they are not students at that school.

Selena’s tweet from the night:

“PPP peeps and I crashed a prom tonight and danced with a highschool!! amazing!! I finally had prom!”

Sounds like she had a fun time!

Singer Jessie James adds another incredible gig to her growing resume –dates on the road with the biggest musical act of today -The Jonas Brothers! Jessie has been tapped to host the first four shows, beginning June 20 in Dallas TX at New Cowboys Stadium. She will introduce each act on the bill and will perform her hit “Wanted” as well. In addition, the “Wanted” video will be featured in the show.

Jessie’s self-titled debut album is set for release July 28th. Recorded in Los Angeles, New York, Nashville, and London, the album takes off with “Wanted”, the full-throttle dance-rock scorcher that Jessie co-wrote with American Idol judge and hit songwriter Kara DioGuardi (along with Mitch Allen and David Hodges). There’s also “Bullet”, a catchy rock gem co-written with pal Katy Perry.

Once again, Hollywood is going to the well and committing to yet another ‘reboot’ - this time ‘Red Dawn’ is getting the update with a younger cast and a lot of hopes on money-making success. Patrick Swayze, Jennifer Grey and Charlie Sheen were part of the original cast of teens who fight back after the US is invaded by communists. 

Josh Peck will take on Sheen’s Matt Eckertt and his brother Jed Eckertt (originated by Swayze) will be played by Chris Hemsworth from this summer’s hot hot hot ‘Star Trek’  movie. Adrianne Palicki from ‘Friday Night Lights’  joins in Grey’s role of Toni Mason. So far, Peck (from his years as on Nickelodeon’s ‘Drake and Josh’ ) is the highest profile star attached to the 2010 version. Still more casting news to come.

Movie master John Carpenter has added Danielle Panabaker to his cast for the latest thriller ‘The Ward.’  The actress joins Amanda Heard from ‘Pineapple Express’ as part of the horror, psychological mind bender film that Carpenter is known for.

The story follows a girl (Heard) who is admitted to a psychiatric ward, meets other girls there with distinct personalities and discovers a mysterious girl haunting the halls at night.

Panabaker plays a patient in the institution, a snobbish girl who flirts with orderlies and faces electroshock therapy.

Panabaker has had roles in television’s ‘Shark’ and ‘Eli Stone’ and has been in the movies ‘Yours, Mine and Ours’  and ‘Mr. Brooks.’

The British heirs to the throne, Prince William and Prince Harry are eager to join up with their commrades in front line combat roles.

Last year, Prince Harry did get 10 weeks of fighting in Afghanistan until the news embargo on his whereabouts was broken by US website TheDrudgeReport.com. He was then pulled from the field because it was determined that it would be too risky for him and his fellow troops while the Taliban put a price on capturing the third in line to the throne.

While Harry is anxiously awaiting being allowed to return, William has not had the opportunity to be on the battlefield and wants the chance to see active duty.

William, 26, who is currently training with the RAF to become a search and rescue pilot and hopes to become operational in 2010, said: ‘To me, I didn’t join the forces to be mollycoddled or treated any differently. As far as I am concerned, in my eyes, if Harry can do it, then I can do it.”

The royal brothers are currently sharing a bachelor pad near Royal Air Force base in Shawsbury where they are training: William continues to train for helicopter search and rescue and Harry is learning to fly a combat Lynx helicopter.
