Emma Watson may have a magical history to her family tree. According to Ancestry.com, the young actress is related to a 16th century woman who was convicted of being a witch.

…English records show Watson’s distant relative was Joan Playle of Essex County, England, a 16th-century English woman convicted of witchcraft in 1592.Details are sketchy — naturally — and Playle’s conviction remain a mystery. She was unmarried, which often led to witchcraft accusations. During the Elizabethan era, poor, homely, old, widowed single women were often declared to be witches.

Apparently Playle was not executed but instead excommunicated (basically blacklisted/thrown out of) the Church of England.

Interesting bit of trivia on Emma’s family.

Leighton Meester and her boyfriend Sebastian Stan often have to endure watching their partner make out with another actor for their show ‘Gossip Girl.’ While some find it awkward, Stan says it’s just a part of the job.

“It’s work and everyone shares the same mentality when it comes to that. But we all laugh about it,” he says. “The good part is I get to go home with her.”

The duo frequently has romantic scenes with their onscreen other halves: Ed Westwick (Meester) and Blake Lively (Stan). Great work if you can get it and your significant other is ok with it!

Is ‘New Moon’ getting seriously steamy or what? First Taylor Lautner got crazy hot muscles for his part as Jacob, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart togetherness rumors are rampant and now there is a nude scene! Deviating totally from the book, Jamie Campbell Bower says that a scene has been added with himself, Michael Sheen and Christopher Heyerdahl (Caius, Marcus and Aro Volturi) sitting in a bathhouse, nude.

Peter Facinelli’s character, Carlisle Cullen, used to hang out with the Volturi back in the day, so the scene shows Carlisle meeting up with Aro, Caius and Marcus, only to find them relaxing in a bathhouse.

“It’s a full-body shot, and then Peter comes in, and it all gets a bit awkward,” Jamie explains. “[Carlisle] is clothed completely. They’re bathing in sort of a Roman bath kind of thing.”

Well that will certainly get everyone’s attention!

As his 21st birthday approaches, (August 24th,) Rupert Grint fans wanted to do something special to commemorate his day. His UK-based fan site RupertGrint.org got together with him and his family to chose a charity to support, the one to sponsor in his honor: Teenage Cancer Trust.

Every day in the UK, up to 6 teenagers or young adults (between the ages of 13 and 24) will find out they have cancer that is approximately 2,100 new cases a year. These young people, in the midst of their already difficult journey to adulthood, suddenly find themselves faced with a possible life-threatening illness and very often receiving treatment in inappropriate facilities with inadequate support options. Teenage Cancer Trust grew by chance, out of the eagerness of a group of women to organise a fashion show to fund a children’s intensive care heart unit at Guy’s Hospital, London. The fashion show was a resounding success and the women, high on the adrenalin of triumph, were ready to take on the world. Little did they know – they had!… The women went on to raise funds to build the very first TCT unit at the Middlesex Hospital in London in 1990.”

Ashley Tisdale’s latest movie, Aliens In The Attic (formerly known as They Came From Upstairs,) is opening today, Friday July 31st. The flick about a small group of kids who battle aliens from taking over the world has a very low rating on rottentomatoes.com – 4.5 stars out of 10. What do you think? Former High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens is the new cover girl for Parade Magazine. The 20 year-old actress, who wants to embrace more mature movie roles, talks about growing up, being a mama’s girl, paparazzi and her nude picture scandal.

Here are some highlights from Vanessa Hudgens’ Parade Magazine interview:

On the nude picture scandal and how she’s moving on from it: “That’s why I’m extremely guarded. I really do try to watch everything I say. Because one little tiny slip, and it’s like the world is coming to an end! It is hard. I do always have a wall up. But I feel by doing it, I keep myself safe. I try to live my life, do what I want, and just let everything else follow along. I try not to read the blogs or what people say about me. Because that’s what brings everybody down–no matter what you do, you’re always going to have haters.”

On hiding from the paparazzi: “I keep my head down. Usually I’ll run around in hoodies, and I’ve got this massive head of hair, and I throw it all in my face so that nobody can see me. But if I want to do something, I’m going to do it, and if people recognize me, the fans, then great. They’re the reason why High School Musical is what it is, and they’re the reason why I’m here, so I’m thankful.”

On being a mama’s girl: “I got her fired once. I was calling her at work way too much, because I missed her. Back then, I was so shy, I did not want to leave her side. I would call her at work nonstop, to the point where she got fired. It was horrible.”

On moving out of her parents house: “I feel like I need to earn my right to have a home. It’s nice to be spoiled, but I want to be able to know that I can do it. [My parents] know I’m growing up, and they’re proud that I can actually have my own home. Of course I think they’re worried to a certain extent. But they’re so proud of me.”

On getting used to living on her own: “It’s weird living by myself. I thought I’d be the person who, every time I hear a little noise, would hide under my bed. But I’ve fallen in love with my home. When I’m in there, I feel safe. I don’t think I’ve gotten scared once–knock on wood–in my house by myself. Then again, I do sleep with the TV on so that I don’t hear all the little clinks and clanks at night!”

Ashley Tisdale performed the first single, “It’s Alright, It’s OK”, out of her sophomore album titled “Guilty Pleasure” on The View on Wednesday (July 29). Ashley’s family was there in the audience to support the singer/actress!

Tom Cruise’s son, Connor Cruise, wants to become an actor like his daddy and recently visited Miley Cyrus on the ‘Hannah Montana’ set to get acting lessons from the loud Disney star. It’s like the blind leading the blind…

Miley was so sweet to the 14 year-old aspiring actor that Conor couldn’t help but fall for her… how sweet!! A source tells, “Tom thought it would be a good experience for him to see how other performers around his age work. It started as business — but Miley was so sweet, Connor couldn’t help having feelings for her!”

If only Connor was at least 10 years older…
