Country star Taylor Swift and some friends dressed as KISS walked on stage to surprise fellow musician Keith Urban during the performance of “Kiss a Girl” in his concert in Kansas City, Missouri.

Taylor tweeted all the details and photos of the prank. The look on Keith’s face is priceless but he did not skip a beat and kept rocking and singing as some freaky KISS members never walked in on his performance!

Mattel is ready to release their official Twilight Edward Cullen and Bella Swan Collector Barbie dolls just in time for “New Moon”. The dolls will be available for $24.95 on November 1, 2009.

These beautiful dolls were made by Sharon Zuckerman, Barbie Collector Designer, who is a huge Twilight fan. Sharon released the following statement:

“I fell in love with the TWILIGHT series and was obsessively reading the books when I was assigned the project to design the Edward and Bella Barbie dolls. As you can imagine, I was thrilled to find out that I would design the dolls and get to work with Stephenie Meyer.

“Stephenie herself came to Mattel and art directed the look of the dolls. She was integral in perfecting every detail as she really wanted Edward and Bella to embody the spirit of the characters that she envisioned while writing the series.

“We also had the ACTUAL costumes from the movie set that were used in the “Forever 17” scene to help inspire the costumes for the dolls. It was an unforgettable experience and I hope TWILIGHT fans are just as excited about the dolls as I am!”

Ashley Greene stopped and chatted with Dog News Daily at The 2009 Teen Choice Awards this Sunday. Her dog Marlow, travels to sets with her and gets to sleep with the ‘Twilight’ and ‘New Moon’ star. How cute!

Noah Cyrus and Frankie Jonas were interviewed on KTLA about the upcoming animated film ‘Ponyo’ from Disney and Ghibli studios. The younger Cyrus and the Bonus Jonas voiced characters (the goldfish/princess and the little boy who finds her) for the English-speaking version of the Japanese hit by Hayao Miyazaki. Miyazaki is the genius who made ‘Princess Mononoke‘, ‘Spirited Away’ and ‘Howl’s Moving Castle‘, among so many others. ‘Ponyo’ hits theaters this Friday, August 14th.

Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe has stepped up to the plate to support The Trevor Project. The nationwide non-profit organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth provides counseling and a round-the-clock suicide prevention hotline for teens in crisis. By donating time and money, Radcliffe has become an essential part of the group’s program of support and help for teens and young people who are having trouble dealing with sexual orientation issues.

“I am very pleased to begin my support of The Trevor Project, which saves lives every day through its critical work,” said Daniel Radcliffe. “It’s extremely distressing to consider that in 2009 suicide is a top three killer of young people, and it’s truly devastating to learn that LGBTQ youth are up to four times more likely to attempt suicide than their heterosexual peers. I deeply hope my support can raise the organization’s visibility so even more despondent youth become aware of The Trevor Helpline’s highly trained counselors and Trevor’s many other resources. It’s vitally important that young people understand they are not alone and, perhaps even more important, that their young lives have real value.”

The actor is committed to ‘setting a meaningful example’ and hopes to do more in the future with the organization. This is a bold step for a young actor – to come out and put his money to a cause that is polarizing for so many people and truly embrace diversity. Bravo Daniel!

Kristen Stewart opened up to Dark Horizons.com at San Diego Comic Con about her role as Bella in ‘New Moon’ and her upcoming flick ‘The Runaways’ where she plays Joan Jett. Talking about Bella’s emotional development Stewart said:

“I think she grows up light years in this one; there’s something to be said about the way she behaved herself in the first. It takes an extremely assured – more than that – really, a strong presence of a person, to throw yourself into a world that you have no – absolutely no sense of, like, what it might be like. But to just trust whatever gut feeling pushed you into that. But what I really liked about the second one is that – I was saying this before. I feel stupid repeating myself. But, to know yourself for real – I think you probably would have to go through more of a range of emotion than she had gone through at that point in her life. So, to commit to someone like that – to have it taken away, and then have to snap back – I mean, now I actually think that it’s not – I’m not looking at a kid who’s sort of immaturely but impressively going for something. Now you’re like, “Okay, this young lady, this woman, might be actually getting to know herself, and doing the right thing.” She definitely grows. I mean, she definitely matures.”

Stewart has really connected to Bella in a way that she hasn’t seemed to in the past. Maybe it’s that the character has more emotional depth in the rest of the books and films or perhaps she is becoming more comfortable playing a character that has such a huge fan base that scrutinizes her every move. The ‘Red Dawn’ reboot is in full swing with a major new cast member on board, Connor Cruise. The son of actors Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, the 14 year old is taking a page out of the family business and becoming a working actor.

Cruise will play Daryl, the mayor of Spokane, and best friend of tech geek Robert.

The 1984 action movie is about a group of teenagers who form an insurgency when their town is invaded, this time by the Russians and the Chinese.

The cast of this movie is getting more interesting everyday. Josh Peck from Drake & Josh and Chris Hemsworth from Star Trek are also on board.
