Being a top musical act isn’t enough for teen Taylor Swift. Branching out as an author, the country music star is reportedly getting ready to write a cookbook featuring her family’s traditional recipies.

“I’m writing a cookery book with all of my family’s recipes!” Taylor is quoted as telling Sugar magazine. “My mum’s teaching me her brisket later on today. I’m going to throw a dinner party for all my friends and teach them too!”

Earlier this year, the singer/songwriter already stepped out of music and into fashion with L.E.I. sportswear sundresses sold exclusively at Wal-Mart.

Sugar Magazine is a top selling British teen mag and while the quote may (or may not) be accurate, the phrasing was most like changed (cookery and mum are not used in the US by teens very often.)

Actress Hilary Duff, who has been busy filming scenes for her special guest appearance on Gossip Girl in New York, and her boyfriend Mike Comrie were seen out to lunch at the Hugos Restaurant in Los Angeles on Saturday (August 29).

Hilary looks great in her short shorts but she could definitely use some California sun or Lindsay Lohan’s fake orange tan. The actress has been accused of being a diva on set of Gossip Girl but it seems like the rumors are not true according to CW.

New pictures are surfacing of Kristen Stewart and her co-star Billy Burke (who plays her dad, Chief Swan) as they film the graduation scene in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. This is the pivotal point in the books where Bella (Stewart) figures out that Victoria (now played by Bryce Dallas Howard) is the one behind the newborn vampire army and is aiming for her. In the book, Edward and Alice Cullen (Robert Pattinson and Ashley Greene) are also part of the ceremonies. As of yet no photos of Pattinson or Greene working this scene. I hope we get to see a shot or two of Edward (Robert) in the back of Chief Swan’s squad car – funny!

Kristen is back with her Bella-length hair. The actress needed extentions after she cut her hair for her film The Runaways (with Dakota Fanning) where she portrayed Joan Jett. I kinda miss her mullet-y ‘do. It really did look good on her.

Miley Cyrus looked incredibly, illegally sexy in her daisy dukes while out to dinner with some friends at the Katsu-Ya sushi restaurant in Studio City, California on Wednesday (August 25). The outfit could not be complete without the powerful cowboys boots made to walk all over you…

Actress Hilary Duff and Penn Badgley were caught shooting a hot kissing scene for Gossip Girl in New York City on Wedneday (August 26) . It could have been a really awkward situation because Penn is fellow co-star Blake Lively’s boyfriend but Hilary says they have been amazing to her.

Hilary said, “I’ve known him for a few years. We lived in the same neighborhood in LA growing up. And they’re wonderful! Blake has been so sweet to me.”

Some fans were waiting in the rain and cold for 36 hours to see Miley Cyrus perform on “The Today Show” in New York on Friday morning (August 28). Miley confessed she would never wait for so much time to see someone so she is thankful for her crazy dedicated fans.

Miley performed four of the songs, “Party In The U.S. A.”, “See You Again”, “The Climb” and “Kicking and Screaming” (watch videos below) of her new album “Time Of Our Lives,” which comes out on Tuesday (August 31) exclusively in Wal-Mart.

The Volturi is one super powerful family of twisted vampires that make their first appearance on the second movie of The Twilight Saga, “New Moon”, and will torment Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and Bella Swan’s (Kristen Stewart) lives till the end of the series.

“NEW MOON” Volturi Vampires Revealed:

Jane (Dakota Fanning)

She’s a ruthless little one, but in her defense, she had a rough go of it in the days before she was turned into a vampire. Humans thought she and her brother, Alec, were actually witches and decided to burn them alive. The Volturi, who were biding their time before transforming Jane and her bro, were compelled to act earlier than planned. So while Jane may look young, she’s actually been around for a while and maintains a powerful place in the Volturi ranks. Her special ability is to inflict incapacitating pain with her thoughts — a skill she developed after being burned at the stake. “She’s innocent-looking in appearance but she’s absolutely deadly,” director Chris Weitz said.

Caius (Jamie Campbell Bower)
You don’t want to mess with this member of the Volturi coven. Turned around 1300 B.C., Caius is mercilessly cruel. One of the three leaders, he’s gunning to exterminate Edward, Bella and Alice Cullen (Ashley Greene), but Volturi founder Aro decides that isn’t the best course of action.

Alec (Cameron Bright)
Brother to Jane, Alec has risen to become one of the Volturi Guard. As with his sister, it’s unknown when he was transformed, nor exactly how old he truly is. What is known is that both siblings are invaluable to the Volturi: Since joining the coven, the group rarely has to engage in actual fighting — the siblings’ skills allow for the outright slaughter of their enemies.

Marcus (Christopher Heyerdahl)
The first pic of Marcus is creepy, creepy, creepy — the thin, red lips, the hands stretching out toward the camera. Since the death of his wife, Marcus has become detached from the rest of the Volturi leadership. Turned at about 1300 B.C., he’s developed almost zombie-like characteristics and is completely apathetic. Yet he maintains the special ability to perceive the strength of a relationship between two people. In this way, he is well aware of the intensity of Edward and Ella’s connection.

Aro (Michael Sheen)
The founder of the coven and its de facto leader, Aro possesses the ability to read a person’s thoughts simply by touching them. Unfortunately for him, this supernatural skill doesn’t work on Bella.
“[A]fter 2,000 years you’d probably be more than mildly insane,” Weitz said. “No matter how cultured or gracious you appear on the surface. And I think that’s what Michael Sheen managed to portray as Aro, the head of the Volturi — on the surface he’s terribly gracious, warm, a wonderful host, and at the same time he’s lethal and frightening.”

Death Cab for Cutie has just scored a nice bit of publicity and been added to the soundtrack for The Twilight Saga: New Moon. Their song ‘Meet Me on the Equinox’ has been chosen to be the first single released from the upcoming CD and it will get it’s debut on MTV.com on September 19th – coinciding with MTV’s VMA’s.

“I think that a lot of our songs in general concern a lot of the things the main characters in the books are going through: There’s a lot of stuff about relationships beginning and ending, and the questioning that happens around being in love and falling out of love,” bassist Nick Harmer told MTV News in a recent interview.

In addition to Death Cab, Thom Yorke of Radiohead and Muse have been announced for the movie soundtrack which is out October 20th. The official cover art (we’ve seen this before…) is above.

I just want to say thank god I don’t have to sit through hours of another lame MTV awards show crap to hear the song. So happy it will premiere on the web.

The first Wizards of Waverly Place Disney Channel Original Movie premieres Friday night (August 28th) and since we can’t get enough of Selena Gomez, here is her first single with her band The Scene, from her upcoming CD Kiss & Tell, ‘Falling Down.’ The CD hits stores September 29th.

Kevin Jonas and Danielle Deleasa are engaged to be married (Danielle’s engagement ring) and probably want to keep the wedding date a secret but little brother Nick Jonas just had to open his mouth to reveal, “They have not set a date yet, but I think that it’ll be sometime around the end of the year, beginning of the year – something like that.”

So winter wedding!! How exciting! Bad Nicky!! Not exactly a specific date but he revealed more that intended… Nick is happy for his brother and he says it all happened naturally between Kevin and Danielle, who met during a vacation in the Bahamas back in 2007.

Nick says, “Kevin and Danielle were on the beach walking, and Joe was like, ‘Oh, they’re gonna get married.’ And then, a couple years later, they were engaged and now we’re here.”
