The most popular and controversial teen star Miley Cyrus is finally 17 years old today! Miley, family, friends and Liam Hemsworth (her boyfriend!! Shhh…) celebrated the big day with an 80’s themed bash at Canal Room in NY last week.
Miley was born in Nashville, Tennessee on November 23, 1992 to Leticia “Tish” (née Finley) and country singer Billy Ray Cyrus. She has five siblings (Trace, Brandi, Christopher, Braison and Noah). Miley’s parents named her Destiny Hope because they believed that she would accomplish great things. She was nicknamed “Smiley”, later shortened to “Miley”, because she kept smiling as a baby. Miley legally changed her name and she is no longer Destiny Hope!
