Actress Brooke Shields, who played a special cameo as Miley’s deceased mother in the Disney hit “Hannah Montana”, has reportedly urged Miley Cyrus to go to college because it is an amazing learning experience that can only enrich her life even if she doesn’t use her degree in her line of work.

Brooke got her Princeton degree in French Literature back in 1987. “Brooke’s been pushing Miley to go to college,” a source tells Star. “She says she needs something to fall back on.” Miley seems to be considering applying this year. “She’d love to be an Ivy Leaguer like Brooke!”

It would not only be great for Miley but also a good example for all the kids that look to her to study, get an education and don’t forget life is supposed to be a continuous learning experience. Miley recently confessed she would love to study photography in London. Go girl!!

Twilight star Ashley Greene talked about her new movie, “New Moon”, and promoted her photo shoot for SoBe Lifewater, in which she wears nothing but paint, in an exclusive interview at the “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon” on Friday (January 8).

The cast of “10 Things I Hate About You” will return with a brand new season of at least 10 new episodes in February. The series based on the 1999 movie with the same title broke the record for a 30-minute comedy debut with 1.6 million viewers on the ABC Family network. ‘One Less Lonely Girl’ singer Justin Bieber has more than just dominating the music charts on his mind. The Canadian born teenager wants to head to college to expand his horizons.

He doesn’t fill his time playing PlayStation or watching videos of Michael Jackson, one of his influences, on his tour bus. Instead Bieber hits the books. “I have a tutor,” he says. “I want to go to college. As Asher Roth says, I think college would be a blast.” And a prospective major? “I’m good at English,” he says. “I like to write.”

Cosmopolitan magazine has named Kellan Lutz from The Twilight Saga and Paul Wesley of The Vampire Diaries as two Fun Fearless Males in it’s February issue. Here is an excerpt from Paul’s Q & A:

Have you done anything fearless lately?

“There was a stunt on Vampire Diaries that had me jumping off a building. I said no to a stunt double because I know my fear of heights is all mental. So I did a free fall for 60 feet with a harness that eased me into the landing.”

Selena Gomez and Keke Palmer were among the nominees for Outstanding Performance in a Children’s Television Program for the 41st NAACP Image Awards.

“The NAACP Image Awards is the nation’s premier event celebrating the outstanding achievements and performances of people of color in the arts (motion picture, television, recording, and literature), as well as those individuals or groups who promote social justice through their creative endeavors.”

Disney’s Gomez and Nickelodeon’s Palmer were individually nominated as well as their respective TV shows: Wizards of Waverly Place and True Jackson, VP.

With Kevin Jonas getting married and Nick Jonas off doing his music thing with his new band, The Administration, Joe Jonas has been fairly quiet. As Camp Rock 2 pics and promos are starting to come out, Joe is talking more about an acting career, specifically how he’d love a part in a James Bond movie.

“I’m willing to read for anything. Acting is something I love and I want to do it all. It would be an awesome dream to get a part in a James Bond movie. We’re big fans of Daniel Craig. DC is the best and it would be an honor. It’s a prestigious film series.”

Joe was going to be part of the ensemble movie Valentine’s Day, with Emma Roberts, Taylor Lautner and his ex – Taylor Swift, however scheduling just couldn’t be worked out.

The Vampire Diaries happens to be one of my favorite new shows this year. Until new episodes start again, here is a short interview Ian Somerhalder did before the holidays and the show’s winter break to tide us over for the return.

In this, Somerhalder talks about Stefan’s (Paul Wesley) current diet of no human blood and how it might be possible to see that change, as well as how his character, Damon, might take a turn for the better. He also confesses to having been a bad boy – all with his very sexy smirk on his face. Love it!
