It isn’t often that you find a fifteen year-old as CEO of their own company but Ava Anderson is the exception. The high school-er has launched her own skincare line after finding out that many brands labelled as ‘natural’ were anything but.

After becoming a toxic ingredient junkie and sweeping the cosmetic aisles for pure choices – not to mention Mom and Grandma’s makeup bags – frustration led the precocious blonde to invent her own products that passed all non-toxic standards.

“Through a family friend, we found a manufacturer with research facilities that could develop and produce products to my standards. It was a great challenge to develop these revolutionary formulas and I had to reject many proposed formulations,” says Anderson.

The non-toxic beauty line, called simply Ava Anderson, is available online at her website or you can start your own Ava business, selling her line and making some cash for yourself. Check out this if you are interested in sharing the non-toxic message.

Looking back on 2009, Taylor Swift has some great memories. Rolling Stone magazine caught up with the Fearless singer/songwriter and asked her about her very successful year and what she’s looking forward to coming up. Here is an excerpt that isn’t in the magazine:

Can you tell me about any of the influences we might hear on your next record?
I’m always going to love Keith Urban, I’m always going to love John Mayer. I’m always going to love people like that, who I feel are truly authentic, and that’s not to say that my music will ever sound like theirs, but I’m inspired by people who I feel know exactly who they are, and that inspires me to continue to figure out and inform who I am as an artist.

What I was getting at was when are you going to start rapping? I thought T-Sweezy was one of the highlights of 2009.
Did you really? [Laughs] The CMT Awards asked me, “Do you want to be a part of our intro?” and one of the first things that came to my mind was that I really, really want some excuse to be able to rap and go to the mall and go to those kiosk things and go buy bling and experience rapping in front of a car with spinners for the first time. T-Pain agreed to it and flew to Nashville and we were in a sweltering hot, 95-degree parking garage for an entire day shooting — I will never, ever forget that memory.

Imagine Disney’s hit show Hannah Montana with Taylor Momsen as the girl torn between two worlds. Can you see it? I have a whole different show in mind and Taylor, who auditioned and lost out on the title role to Miley Cyrus, thinks she would’ve been trouble for the squeaky clean mouse house.

She said to UK’s The Sunday Times Style magazine: ‘Honestly, if I’d have ended up as Hannah Montana, I don’t know if the show would have gone as well.

‘I probably would have told them all to go f*** themselves by the time I hit 11. And I don’t know how that would have gone down.

‘It’s great for Miley, but I really like where I am right now and I feel really fortunate to be able to really be myself.’

Momsen certainly would’ve been a headache for the executives. At least with Gossip Girl she gets a better wardrobe.

Nickelodeon knows Victoria Jackson’s new show Victorious! is highly anticipated by her fans. While her new show doesn’t premiere until March, Nick viewers will have a chance to see her guest star in The Troop’s latest episode on Secret Crush Weekend, starting February 5th. After Gibby introduces his new girlfriend Tasha to the group, tempers flare when Gibby finds Tasha and Freddie in what he misunderstands as a compromising position.  Gibby vows revenge and challenges Freddie to a fight.  Meanwhile, Spencer’s art career really takes off when the local paper incorrectly reports his death.

8:30PM – Big Time Rush “Big Time Love Song”

The guys all chase the same girl, causing problems in the band for the first time.  Gustavo wants the guys to sing a syrup-y love song as their next single, but their journey through love, fighting and heartbreak lead them to record the song as an anti-love song.  Lorenzo Llamas guest stars as the kooky Dr. Hollywood who has to treat James when he has a mysterious allergic attack.

Saturday, Feb. 6

8:00PM – iCarly “iEnrage Gibby” (ENCORE)
8:30PM – True Jackson, VP “True Valentine”

True decides to ask Jimmy to her school’s Valentine’s dance, but only as “friends” to spare her feelings if he says no.  But Jimmy’s own plans to take their relationship to the next level are ruined when he takes True for her word and thinks she only wants to be friends.

9:00PM – The Troop “Speed” (Victoria Justice guest stars)

Jake and Hayley must pretend to be a couple in order to catch the Eris Fairy (Victoria Justice) that’s been running around the school breaking up couples in love.  Felix works furiously to trap the Eris Fairy only to realize how much he relates to her situation.  Victoria Justice guest stars as the Eris Fairy.

9:30PM- Big Time Rush “Big Time Love Song” (ENCORE)

Miranda Cosgrove, Keke Palmer, Gage Golightly, Nick Purcell, Ashley Argota and all your faves from the shows will be giving you behind the scenes peeks and talking about their crushes alll weekend long.

America’s Next Top Model host Tyra Banks is looking for ‘fiercely real’ teens to break the traditional model look. The talk show host is launching a search for plus-sized teens between ages 13 and 19 to put in the spotlight and show the world what they’ve got.

“I’ve always felt it was my mission to expand the narrow perceptions of beauty,” says Banks via a statement to Us magazine.  The top model went on to say that she has always tried to “challenge industry and universal standards” by “celebrating non-traditional beauty” and stressing the importance of inner beauty.

The winner will win a modeling contract, a fashion shoot of their own and a chance to change people’s perceptions of what beautiful is all about.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have been quietly building their high-end clothing line The Row, for a few years now. The designs are versatile, fashionable and well-made and have been successful from the initial release in 2007. Growing their line, the sisters announced earlier this month that they would have their first runway fashion show for the Fall 2010 line at New York’s Fashion Week in February and now they are launching the website for their brand. Therow.com is understated and subtle with a tactile ‘feel’ using fabric samples as the background.

What does the look and the feel of the Web site say about the collection?
Mary-Kate Olsen: We looked at a lot of different Web sites before we started working on our own, and we thought most of them were too loud. We wanted The Row Web site to be subdued and very direct. I think that has been a philosophy behind The Row ever since we started the line. All of the background visuals are high-res images of actual fabric swatches from our collections. We wanted the viewer to really see all of the details of the beautiful fabrics we use—washed red silk charmeuse, the scales of our python skins, our cashmere modals. We wanted it to feel like you could reach out and touch everything.

The unique personal style that Mary-Kate and Ashley have cultivated can overshadow the fact that they are talented and passionate about their clothing lines and they have built a great business. I’m looking forward to their fashion show in NYC next month to see what they have planned for The Row.

Oh No!! Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez’s BFF relationship may have hit a rough patch! Demi was leaving BBC radio in London when she was surrounded by fans, who asked her about Selena. Demi sharply replied, “Ask Taylor!” Taylor Swift, of course!! (watch video below – 1:35 mark!)

It seems like Selena’s close relationship with Taylor is making her BFF Demi really jealous… or maybe it has something to do with the fact that Taylor dated Joe Jonas, who is currently secretly dating Demi! Oh, the teen drama!! Selena and Demi are probably just taking a break, giving each other some space but will always be BFFs no matter what… we hope!!
