Time magazine published it’s annual 100 Most Influential People in the World list and among the artists of influence: Robert Pattinson came in at #6 and Taylor Swift at #9.

Rob Pattinson became the biggest of media celebrities with the success of the Twilight movies. Remember back when he was first cast, the doubts that spread across the net? The times (and attitudes) have changed and now the British actor has become hunted like the prey his famous vampire character, Edward Cullen, exists on. Still, the man handles himself well.

New Moon director Chris Weitz says: “And though I am continually impressed by the aplomb with which he handles the hysteria, I occasionally think he would take it all back if given the chance. Because essentially, Rob, 23, is a reserved, bookish sort of specimen, a guy who’d rather spend the night at the corner table in the pub with friends — a bit of a weirdo, frankly, in the best sense.”

The aw shucks quality that Pattinson exhibits is endearing and genuine.

Taylor Swift connects with people who truly root for her to succeed. In this age of negativity and anonymity on the net, when people feel free to say anything no matter how horrendous, about another person, Swift is largely exempt from that. Remarkable in itself, she also has the kind of worldwide success that usually comes with a major scandal or two. Also nada. She activates that hope of the storybook ending that a cynical world tries to shut out.

Grammy winner Stevie Nicks gives us this insight: “Taylor reminds me of myself in her determination and her childlike nature. It’s an innocence that’s so special and so rare. This girl writes the songs that make the whole world sing, like Neil Diamond or Elton John. She sings, she writes, she performs, she plays great guitar. Taylor can do ballads that could be considered pop or rock and then switch back into country.”

Adept, versatile and growing as a musician, Swift is one to reckon with and not underestimate.

While both young stars are influential today – the real question for each is will it last? Both are talented and working at developing more depth to their work. The keep their head down and try to go about their business even when there is a crazed atmosphere around them and they each have become very media savvy. Let’s hope both can make the list again in 2020.

Jonas Brothers’ Joe Jonas has reportedly moved out of the home he shared with his brothers and bought his own “home sweet home”, a $2.5 million mansion that overlooks the canyons and mountains of the Hollywood Hills in Los Angeles.

The 3,300-squarefoot, four-bedroom, three-bath house was built in 1929 and custom-designed by its original owner. “It’s truly a unique and beautiful property,” says a real estate expert. “It’s located on one of the prettiest streets in the neighborhood. This neighborhood is filled with celebrities.”

Actor Zac Efron and his girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens will be forced to go face-to-face in a Box Office battle as their latest movies, “The Death and Life Of Charlie St. Cloud” and “Beastly” (watch trailer here), respectively, are both set to be released on July 30, 2010.

Oh! Drama! Zac’s movie was originally scheduled to come out in October, but apparently Universal had an empty “slot” in the middle of the blockbuster season and BOOM! Boyfriend/girlfriend box office controversy! Who will win the battle? Are you Team Vanessa or Team Zac?

ABC Family original series “10 Things I Hate About You”, which was based in Julia Stiles and late Heath Ledger’s 1999 movie with the same title, has been officially canceled after only two seasons. NO! Please no! That was one show I actually enjoyed. The last five episodes will lead to a cliffhanger finale that will leave us begging for more.

Last night, the American Idol Season 9 top 6 contestants (Aaron Kelly, Casey James, Crystal Bowersox, Lee Dewyze and Siobhan Magnus) became vampires for a new Twilight-inspired Ford ad (watch video above). They did a great job and looked hot. So funny! Big Mike defeated the sexy vamps with a giant garlic pizza. LOL!

Teen superstar Justin Bieber was seen frolicking shirtless (OMG! GASP!) on the beach in Australia and something caught our attention in these pictures. After the drooling part, which I’m sure is pretty much illegal, we noticed Justin seems to have a tattoo on the left side of his stomach (more pictures below).

According to Celebuzz, the tattoo is some sort of family tradition in the Bieber clan, which is usually tattooed on their wrists but since Justin is so special he chose a more intimate spot for that fine ink work. The question is: isn’t 16 year-old a bit too young to get a tattoo or it doesn’t really matter?

Singer Justin Bieber, who drives millions of female fans to insanity, is reportedly planning on attending a public high school next year. OMG! Lucky girls! But can any school function normally when the biggest teen star of all-time is one of your classmates?

It still hasn’t be officially confirmed yet, but Justin will most probably attend the Thousand Oaks High School in Thousand Oaks, California. I just can’t imagine Justin as a normal student… on the other hand, “normal” is exactly what Justin needs.
