Gossip Teen

Bridgit Mendler may be the next big thing and Disney seems to agree. The network has cast her as the lead in their latest hottest property Lemonade Mouth. The book about five Rhode Island teens who meet in detention and form a band is being developed to take Disney forward with a new crop of teen stars. Mendler will play Olivia and joining her is Hayley Kiyoko (Stella,) Adam Hicks (Wen,) Naomi Scott (Mo,) and Blake Michael (Charlie.)

Production has started in Albuquerque, New Mexico and the made for TV movie will hit sometime in 2011.

High School Musical is done (at least the original.) Camp Rock 2 will hit soon and that will be over. Wizards of Waverly Place and Hannah Montana are ending their series soon and the House of Mouse needs some replacement material and new talent to develop.

Lemonade Mouth is a great book and could be so fun. I’m looking forward to it.
