The summer horror flick that is getting all the buzz right now, Piranha 3D, had it’s red carpet premiere at Mann’s Chinese 6 Theater in Los Angeles this week. Steven R McQueen and Jessica Szohr costar in the film directed by Alexandre Aja (The Hills Have Eyes) and were on hand Wednesday night for the Hollywood showing. Szohr is happy about the movie but has mixed feelings about all the gory details in 3D:

“With the 3D on top of all the blood and boobs, I’m nervous to see it because I think, how much more can you add to all this craziness? But I think it will be amazing,” she said. “We had so much fun working on it and people will have so much fun watching it.”

The film is apparently very bloody and over-the-top in it’s gore factor but unlike Aja’s other darker films, this one has a sense of humor to it (costar Jerry O’Connell has an already infamous scene where his private parts float by – in 3D – on screen!)

Piranha opens Friday August 20th (today!) Who’s going to see it?

Taylor Momsen and The Pretty Reckless performed in London at the O2 Academy on Thursday night, August 19th. Momsen wore the nude corset-y lingerie she’s been favoring lately, along with black thigh high stockings, garters and clear lucite platform heels. The ‘Light Me Up’ singer recently told Spin magazine she considers her look “high class hooker.

Taking part in Prince Charles’ ‘A Garden Party to Make a Difference’ eco-festival, Emma Watson and People Tree UK will produce a fashion show of the upcoming Spring/Summer 2011 line. Held on Buckingham Palace’s Clarence House gardens, the event will showcase how people can live a cleaner, healthier future. Watson, who won’t be able to attend the show will have a video presentation before the stylish preview.

“I’m so thrilled that People Tree will be showing the spring summer collection at A Garden Party to Make a Difference,” she said in a statement. “I think The Prince of Wales’ initiative is such a brilliant idea and I’m thrilled.”

Watson is passionately committed to the cause and recently traveled to Bangladesh to gain first hand knowledge how the clothing is produced and the positive impact it has on the community.

Justin Bieber makes his acting debut in the 11th season of CSI on it’s premiere night, Thursday September 23rd.

Justin plays 16 year-old Jason, a teen in serious trouble and the decision he makes sets off a confrontation with the CSI crew. Bieber will end up in another episode later in the season as his storyline concludes.

For now, it’s a small, quick peep at the Biebs in his orange jailhouse jumpsuit. Check it.

The Vampire Diaries characters are going to have their histories told in new novels starting this fall. Stefan’s Diaries Vol 1: Origins is the first of a planned trilogy to hit the shelves in November. The books will focus on the civil war era, when Stefan Salvatore (played in the TV show by Paul Wesley) and his brother Damon (Ian Somerhalder) became enthralled with Katherine Pierce (Nina Dobrev) the seductress that eventually made them vampires and turned them against each other.

The show is based on books written by LJ Smith and the timeline of the characters is very different. This will be a great way to bridge the gap that fans of both the original story and the TV show have.

Origins is due in bookstores November 2nd and the next book, Bloodlust follows on January 4, 2011. Original author Smith is working on a spin-off series focusing on the character Damon and the final book finishes up March 15, 2011.

Jennette McCurdy stopped by the iSupply event in Las Vegas earlier in the week helping provide students with school supplies for the start of the new school year. The iCarly actress and singer also performed her new song  for the benefit. Items like notebooks, pens, pencils, and backpacks were collected to give to students in need.

The 20 year-old confessed her new album is a collection of open letters to people who are/were part of her life. Taylor said, “These songs are made up of words I didn’t say when the moment was right in front of me. These songs are open letters. Each is written with a specific person in mind, telling them what I meant to tell them in person.”

Gossip Girl star Blake Lively posed for a dark, mysterious and ultra sexy photo shoot featured on the upcoming Fall Fashion issue of Interview Magazine. The 23 year-old actress confessed she is really shy and has to make a great effort to overcome her insecurities and become a sexy vixen in front of the camera.

“I think half of it is just acting confident. We stand on these red carpets and pose in these dresses, but we’re all only so confident. It doesn’t mean we think we’re great looking or anything. It’s all a façade,” she admitted.

Blake never considered becoming an actress until her brother, Eric convinced her to go to an audition. She said, “He [Blake’s brother, Eric] talked me into going to this audition. I just did the first one to be nice because he was always so great to me, but then I ended up going to a few more auditions… after a few auditions I got ‘The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants,’ which was my first job.”

Blake has a couple of movies coming up – “The Town”, an action crime thriller starring and directed by Ben Affleck, and “Green Lantern” starring Ryan Reynolds.

Teen superstar Justin Bieber makes his triumphant VMA’s debut with four nominations and a very special performance at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards to air live at 9 pm ET from Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday (September 12, 2010).

Justin is excited to be taking over the VMAs stage, where so many legends delivered some memorable and incredible performances. Who can ever forget Britney Spears’ embarrassing “Gimme More” performance back in 2007? Oh boy!

“I’m excited to be performing at the VMA’s. It is all still unbelievable because last year I went for the first time and no one knew who I was,” said Justin Bieber. “Just really shows that dreams can come true and what incredible dedicated fans I have. I’m a lucky guy and grateful. Now I just want to get on that stage, have some fun in front of my heroes because at the end of the day I’m still a kid, and still a fan. Thanks.”

The line-up of performers includes names like B.o.B., Kanye West, Drake and Florence + The Machine. The list of presenters includes some of our favorite stars like Ashley Greene, Emma Stone, Penn Badgley and Selena Gomez.
