Zac Efron’s latest project is starting to take shape and The Lucky One has found his lucky (on-screen) lady.

Taylor Schilling is set to star in the film version of the Nicholas Sparks’ novel about a soldier (Efron) who survived three tours of duty in Iraq while carrying a picture of an unknown woman (Schilling). The soldier attributes his good fortune to the lady in the photo and when he returns to the U.S. he sets out to find her.

The Lucky One is one of several projects Efron has going for him but this flick will not be under the banner of his newly-formed production company Ninjas Runnin’ Wild.

Schilling just fiinished filming Atlas Shrugged with Twilight alum Edi Gathegi and that film opens in 2011.

The final book in The Hunger Games trilogy, Mockingjay, hits bookstores today, August 24th! Finally!

Author Suzanne Collins post-apocalyptic world filled with the fight-to-the-death battles forced upon the chosen teens every year is the most anticipated book this summer.

Rebellion, dissension, independence, political intrigue and big-brother-is-watching themes filled The Hunger Games and it’s second book, Catching Fire, with tension and suspense. Mockingjay will bring it all to a conclusion.

But don’t despair, it’s not really over – Collins will be adapting The Hunger Games for the big screen as Lionsgate Films is planning the movie to be epic.

Who’s buying Mockingjay today? How much do you love this series? So awesome! Who do you think should play Katniss (I think Saoirse Ronan or Malese Jow - yes I know Malese is a bit older but still – she’d be great!) and Peeta in the movie?

Taylor Momsen has spent the past few days defending her comments to Spin magazine where she seemed to slam Rihanna. The Pretty Reckless singer was quoted as saying:

“People think pop is rock, and the lines are getting blurred. Now Rihanna‘s wearing f– leather jackets, and it’s really annoying.”

While claiming she was miss quoted (I think it would’ve been more accurate to say miss understood) Momsen and the band appeared on Radio 1′s Live Lounge and covered the Rihanna/Eminem song “Love The Way You Lie.”

I don’t think she was taking a shot at Rihanna – I think she just wanted to point out that it used to be pretty clear what a band or musician was about by looking at the way they presented or styled themselves. Say what you want about Taylor, her mouth, her style or her ability to get herself into trouble but this cover is great.

The Jonas Brothers want you to be safe on the road and are pledging to ‘X The Text’ - no texting while driving – and want you to do the same. Joe, Kevin and Nick all put their thumbprint on the banner to symbolize their commitment to safe cell phone habits. The brothers then took to the baseball field with their team, The Road Dogs and let fans enjoy the game for free.

Demi Lovato blasts some happiness from the cover of Bliss magazine’s September issue. The Camp Rock star has had her share of ups and downs lately but you’d never know it from the smile on her face. She shares with the mag how she finds her personal bliss when it all seems too much:

“I love my job, but the negative stuff in the media can bother me. There have even been times when my parents have been worried about it. One time they woke me up in the middle of the night after hearing a rumor that wasn’t even close to true. It can get overwhelming and I kinda feel like ‘What am I doing this for?’ I spend all this time working so hard just for people to badmouth me, but then I’ll watch a few fan videos that people have taken time out of their day to make, and that’s what makes it worthwhile.”

She’s said it many times before but she always comes back to it – her fans are very important to her.

Charming Steven R. McQueen has been making the rounds promoting his latest movie Piranha 3D and chatting about his role on the hit TV show The Vampire Diaries. The actor spoke to CNN about his legendary grandfather, actor Steve McQueen and how he got into the family business, how he enjoys playing the outsider, like Jeremy on TVD and how much fun Piranha 3D is (“somewhere between Snakes on a Plane and Jaws.”) Check it below.

Wilmer Valderrama is guest starring in the upcoming Wizards of Waverly Place episode “Uncle Ernesto” as Uncle E to the Russo kids. Valderrama’s Ernesto does not know that the Russo’s are wizards and of course, the fun of the episode is in how they hide it from him.

Keke Palmer is very fortunate and the soon-to-be 17 year-old knows it. Palmer’s seventeenth b-day is just around the corner and the True Jackson VP star is requesting something from you: help out those who need clean drinking water. From Keke’s blog:

Hey guys,
I have been working with charities that help children starting way back when I was in Akeelah and The Bee, but I have never done anything like this, I was just so moved by My Charity Water and wanted to help bring clean water to children, water should be clean and available to all people at least that is how I feel, I just want to help in some way.

On August 26th I turn 17th, but instead of birthday presents this year I am asking friends, family, and fans to help me bring clean water to children. I have been so very blessed in my life and it would truly be a great birthday if I could use it to help someone in need.

Nina Dobrev has one of the best jobs in television right now. The Vampire Diaries actress gets to play not only the sweet Elena Gilbert, but in the upcoming season, we will see more of her as the driven and maniacal vamp Katherine Pierce. Dobrev, who is the cover girl for the September issue of Saturday Night Magazine has this take on playing Elena and Katherine:

SNMag: What initially drew you to the show and the character of Elena?
Nina Dobrev: Well, I remember reading it and just being drawn to the fact that she was this average girl who was damaged in many ways and then I did some research and found out that I would probably end up having to play Katherine too, who is the complete opposite. This is one of the rarest, coolest opportunities in television, to play two people on the same medium.

SNMag: What can you tell us about Katherine coming back at the end of the finale last season?
ND: The only thing I can really tell you is that she’s back, and if I told you any more I’d have to kill you or bite you or something. But, yeah, she is back and you can just imagine now that she’s back in action things are just going to get more and more intense. It’s fun to see what she is going to do because she is just so spontaneous and crazy, but I’m just as in the dark as you are because they don’t tell us anything until we get there.

SNMag: Who do you have more fun playing – Elena or Katherine?
ND: I think like anything in life, whatever you’re deprived from or you don’t get to do as often, you end up enjoying more than anything else because it’s like a guilty pleasure. So, whenever I play Katherine, because I do it seldom, I have the most fun playing her.

As the promo for the new season is called ‘The Year of the Kat’ (check the super hot video here) she will get to don Katherine’s clothing more often – more fun for her!

Actor Rupert Grint was all smiles at a photo call for the release of the Cherrybomb DVD before a fan meet-and-greet held at the Sanctym Soho Hotel in London, England on Monday (August 23) – more pictures below.

Rupert is all grown up now. He is no longer the little kid we met on the first installment of the Harry Potter movie series. Rupert is 21 years old and incredibly cute – the messy red hair is definitely an important part of his natural charm. TOO cute!!
