Singer Katy Perry, who just released a new album titled “Teenage Dream”, confessed that she was a very depressed teenager in an interview for the upcoming issue of New Zealand’s Creme Magazine (October 2010).

“When I was younger I would be so emotional about things to the point that if there was a breakup, I would stay in bed for a week and a half,” Katy says. “I was really depressed and nobody could get me out of the house.

“I would want to sleep, sleep, sleep, thinking that maybe that would change the seasons, or somehow change my life. My advice would be to look at the bigger picture and don’t ever invest all of your emotions in a guy – you have to save some for yourself.”

Katy is right. You cannot hide from the world no matter how embarrassed or hurt you might feel. And remember high school does not last forever. You just have to survive those years with some dignity without jeopardizing the bright future in front of you.

Actor Jackson Rathbone, who plays Jasper Hale in “The Twilight Saga”, talked about the opportunity to work with an Oscar-winning director, Bill Condon, in the last two installments of the saga, “Breaking Dawn” Part I and Part II, which will be shoot at his home state of Louisiana, in an exclusive interview for Hollywood Gossip.

What are your thoughts on working with director Bill Condon?
I’m extremely excited. I think we’re very blessed to have a director of his level being in this film. We’ve had such amazing directors and now we have an Academy Award winner directing the last two installments. It’s lovely because I get to learn something from each director. Their style and the way they run sets. One day when I pick up a script and start directing it myself, I’ll have a lot more to learn from. I’ll be able to use, or basically steal stuff from the directors I’ve worked with.

How do you feel about filming in Louisiana?
Louisiana is my home state. I’m from Texas to a certain degree, but my mother and my father were both born and raised in Louisiana. I get to see family, so that means real Louisiana home cooking, and there’s a very important aspect that we’re bringing a lot of work into Louisiana at a very difficult time for the state. It’s been one thing after the other and it hurts me that things are the way they are but hopefully we’ll be able to bring a little ray of sunshine, which is kind of funny since it’s a vampire film.

“The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn” Part I hits theaters on November 18, 2011, and Part II is set to be released on November 16, 2012. Meanwhile, you can watch Jackson in his new movie “Girlfriend” (watch movie trailer here).

Actress Emma Watson, who looks super elegant with her short pixie haircut, was forced to leave her dorm room at around 10 am, while she was still in her Union Jack pajamas.

Why? There was an emergency evacuation after the Olney House fire alarm went off at the Brown University on Tuesday (September 28), but it was just a false alarm. A leaky steam pipe triggered the alert system and, fortunately, no one was injured.

Ah! Ah! The situation is hilarious. Well, no one got hurt and we got to see another side of the Harry Potter star. Emma is such a natural beauty. Gorgeous! And classy even in her pajamas!

Australian teen sensation Cody Simpson, who has been described as the new Justin Bieber, released an official music video for his new single “Summertime” (watch video below). Sorry Beliebers, but I think Cody is the best and cutest teen sensation of the year. I love him!

The 13 year-old moved to Los Angeles a couple of months ago to record his songs with Atlantic Records. Cody has a good voice and incredible talent. He is currently completely focused on his music… and school of course!

Beastly star Alex Pettyfer and actress Dianna Agron, who are rumored to be dating, star in a new teen science fiction movie titled “I Am Number Four”, which was directed by D.J. Caruso and produced by named like Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg (watch teaser trailer below).

“I Am Number Four” movie plot:

Nine infant aliens, who closely resemble humans, flee their home planet, Lorien, to hide on Earth. An invading species, the Mogadorians, have destroyed their planet, and follow them to Earth to hunt them down.

Each of the nine aliens is given a guardian and will develop superhuman powers as they become adults. They are each assigned a number. These last children of Lorien can only be killed in the sequence of their numbers.

Number Four (Alex Pettyfer), also named John Smith, moves to Paradise, Ohio, disguised as an American high school student. He makes a friend, Sarah (Dianna Agron), a sweet Midwestern girl who is a photographer.

After being on the run his whole life, Number Four falls in love and now has something to stand up and fight for.
