Covering everything she can – Selena Gomez (who nabbed the front of Russia’s Elle Girl magazine for September 2010, above) performed at the LA County Fair on Saturday night (September 18th) and belted out a few cover songs as well as her own material.

The singer is out touring and supporting her sophomore album, A Year Without Rain but made room in her set to sing BFF Taylor Swift’s song “You Belong With Me.” The talented Gomez also gave a great rendition of Pat Benetar’s “Love Is A Battlefield” and Jason Derulo’s “In My Head.”

Abigail Breslin plays a young singer/songwriter in her new film Janie Jones. In the movie, Breslin’s Janie is trying to connect with her musician father (who didn’t know she existed) while her mother enters rehab.

The 14 year-old actress really liked playing Janie as she even got to drive for the film (she was only 13 at the time) and scared one of the assistants! Breslin said:

“I actually drove in the parking lot and it was awesome, “she said. “I did the actual stunt thing where I almost hit a car. Everybody was fearful those 2 days. We had this one production assistant, Ben, who was in the back seat while I was driving. I could tell he was so afraid and thinking ‘Why did they put me in the car with this lunatic?’ ”

But the illicit driving experience was every kid’s dream.

“It was fun,” says Breslin “My brothers (Spencer, age 18 and Ryan, 25) got their licenses both of them like 3 months ago. I’m like ‘I’m more experienced than you guys are.’”

Breslin did her own singing for the part and while she was nervous – she says she had lots of fun experiencing something new.

Justin Bieber makes his TV acting debut on Thursday September 23rd – the season premiere for the long running CBS police procedural CSI. In the episode “Shock Waves,” the teen singer plays Jason McCann, who gets into a tight spot with the police because of his brother. In the extended clip below, Bieber’s Jason is getting grilled by Nick Stokes (George Eads.)

Lucas Cruikshank is an ordinary teen from Nebraska. His parents have the money, he drives hand-me-down vehicles and he has to mow the lawn. He wants to be an actor and took the character he created Fred Figglehorn to youtube and became an internet sensation. He had a guest spot on iCarly and on Hannah Montana and his acting dreams are starting to take off. Nickelodeon loved the character so much, they produced Fred The Movie. Lucas may even get his own show for for the cable kids network.

Where did the idea of Fred come from? Cruikshank said his younger brothers gave him the initial spark for his character:

Cruikshank, who is the fourth of eight kids, says his main influences for the Fred Figglehorn character are his little brothers. “They were crazy little kids, and I exaggerated what they did and made Fred like them,” he tells PEOPLE. “I get a lot of ideas living in a huge family.”

If you missed Fred The Movie (with John Cena, Pixie Lott and Jennette McCurdy) on Nickelodeon last night, it airs again, Sunday night September 19th at 8pm EST.

Selena Gomez and The Scene’s sophomore album “A Year Without Rain” comes out on Tuesday (September 21, 2010). And Taylor Swift’s third studio album “Speak Now” will be released a month later on October 25, 2010.

Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus was involved in a little “fender bender” when she hit a parked car while behind the wheel of her mother Tish Cyrus’ white Mercedes-Benz SUV at a restaurant parking lot in Los Angeles.

The 17 year-old apparently left her phone number with the parking lot attendant, who is the actual owner of the ’91 Camry hit, and quickly sped off. This cannot be described as a hit and run since Miley actually left contact information, but the parking lot attendant’s attorney planned to file a police report about this incident.

Poor Miley! She may not be the greatest driver in the world, but that type of things can happen to anyone. Miley left her number and ran. She was probably too busy to stop and make small talk. There were no injuries, but she reportedly left the other vehicle totaled. AH!

Although Pretty Little Liars is on a break until January 2011, there is no shortage of people who want the cast to give up the mysterious “A’s” identity. The actresses of PLL are getting bombarded by everyone for the answer; friends, family and other celebs are grilling the girls:

“All my friends will call me to ask who ‘A’ is and I’m like, ‘No, you can watch it!’” bemoans Ashley Benson, who plays Hanna Marin, heir to the cool girl throne after her friend (and now, possibly “A”) Allison dies.

She’s not alone in having to keep people in the dark: “My family is like, ‘OK, Shay, whatever. I thought we were family!’” says Shay Mitchell, cast as the athletic, sweet-natured Emily Fields.

It’s gotten to the point where people have taken to Twitter to try to figure out just who is leaving this foursome of girls threatening messages. Says Lucy Hale, who plays the mature-beyond-her-years Aria Montgomery. “I have Eric Stonestreet from Modern Family tweeting– he’s like, “Just tell me, please!’”

The Pretty Reckless has released a brand new video for their single “Make Me Wanna Die.” The Taylor Momsen fronted band had a vid circulating back in May for this single: shots of the band performing cut in with a photo shoot for Teen Vogue at the Chelsea Hotel.

A new conceptual piece now accompanies the song, which was originally featured in the Chloe Moretz movie Kick Ass and more recently, used in the season two promo of The Vampire Diaries.

Jessica Szohr wore a very tight Leger black dress to Mercedes Benz Fashion Week show of Herve Leger by Max Azria. The Gossip Girl star had the stamped leather and sheer paneled dress paired with chunky black heels and a messy pony tail to the runway show for the Spring 2011 collection.

Szohr has had a busy summer – covering Nylon magazine, press for Piranha 3D and filming the new season of GG. The actress gave Elle magazine a quick rundown of the rest of her summer:

How have you been spending your summer?
I have spent time at home with my family and had some nice, chill hangouts on my roof deck and friends’ roofs! I also tried to get some sun and relax. When summer starts for everyone else, I am back working so I tried to make the best of work and play.

Best memories?
I enjoyed a few concerts like the Strokes, The Black Keys and Lauren Hill and I loved trips with friends and family.

Professional projects you were involved in?
An indie called Hiroken! We filmed it outside of Los Angeles.

Any hobbies?
I’ve been taking Spanish lessons online just for fun with a friend!

What’s been inspiring you?
I just finished Eat, Pray, Love and I really enjoyed Animal Kingdom because the performances were so wonderful. I purchased an interesting piece of art called A Beautiful Look Away by Robert Pollard and I’m excited for Californication to start!

Most looking forward to this fall?
Sweaters, the leaves changing colors, and Thanksgiving. Also, I love nice fires with hot chocolate and tea!

Emma Roberts attended the red carpet premiere of her latest film It’s Kind of a Funny Story in New York City earlier this week. If you don’t know what the movie is about here is the plot summary:

What’s a 16-year-old boy doing playing music and table tennis with adult psychiatric patients – on a school day? It’s kind of a funny story… “It’s Kind of a Funny Story,” adapted from Ned Vizzini’s 2006 novel of the same name, is the new comedy-drama from acclaimed writer/directors Ryan Fleck & Anna Boden. It’s @5:00 AM on a Sunday in Brooklyn. Craig Gilner (played by Keir Gilchrist of “United States of Tara”) is bicycling up to the entrance of a mental health clinic; this bright 16-year-old is stressed out from the demands of being a teenager. Before his parents (Lauren Graham [of "Parenthood"] and Jim Gaffigan [of "Away We Go"]) and younger sister are even awake, Craig checks himself into Argenon Hospital and is admitted by a psychiatrist. But the youth ward is temporarily closed – so he finds himself stuck in the adult ward. One of the patients, Bobby (Zach Galifianakis of “The Hangover”), soon becomes both Craig’s mentor and protégé. Craig is also quickly drawn to another 16-year-old displaced to the adult ward, the sensitive Noelle (Emma Roberts of the upcoming “Scream 4″), who just might make him forget his longtime unrequited crush Nia (Zoë Kravitz of the upcoming “Mad Max”). With a minimum five days’ stay imposed on him by the adult ward’s staff psychiatrist Dr. Eden Minerva (Academy Award nominee Viola Davis), Craig is sustained by friendships on both the inside and the outside as he learns more about life, love, and the pressures of growing up.
