Jesse McCartney is gearing up to release his fourth studio album and gave fans the first single “Shake” to get you ready. Now McCartney, who is a very accomplished songwriter (he co-wrote “Bleeding Love” recorded by Leona Lewis and won 2008 ASCAP Pop Music Song of the Year for it,) will turn his writing talents on for Justin Bieber. Jesse told M:

“Justin’s a really nice guy. I’m actually writing a few songs for his next CD.”

When we asked Jesse if he had any advice for J-Biebs (after all, Jesse knows all about being an idol to millions of teen girls from his Dream Street and Summerland days), he told us this:

“You know, to really appreciate it, to live in the moment and work hard, and you can have a career for years to come.”

McCartney and Bieber are a match made in pop music heaven. Those songs will be played over and over.

Creepily obsessed and all out psycho, actress Leighton Meester is giving the audience one scary moment after the other in the first trailer for her movie The Roommate. Cast as crazy Rebecca who ends up rooming with clueless Sara (Minka Kelly) Meester just loses it and rips out a belly button ring (Aly Michalka’s) sets a guy on fire and is just plain Single White Female nutso. Cam Gigandet, Matt Lanter and Katerina Graham co-star in the thriller due February 4, 2011.

Australian magazine Dolly touts Taylor Swift on the cover of the October 2010 issue. The “Mine” singer is cute in her navy striped dress.

Swift is getting ready for the release of her album Speak Now on October 25th and tells MTV about the writing process for her new songs:

“For me, I write everything that I live, so you’ve got to give yourself a little bit of time to live a lot of things so you can write about a lot of things. And my only option is to write about what I’ve been through and what I’ve lived. So thankfully, in the past two years, I’ve experienced a lot of things that I’ve been dying to write about and a lot of things that I wanted to say in the moment that I didn’t,” she said.

Emma Stone is going to be a host for Saturday Night Live, October 23rd. The Easy A actress has been rumored as one of the new season’s SNL invitees and Stone has finally confirmed.

Easy A opens in theaters today (September 17th) and is getting very good reviews. Jackson Rathbone‘s latest movie effort, Girlfriend premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival earlier this week and earned high marks from critics and fans alike.

The story revolves around Evan (Evan Sneider) a young man with Down’s Syndrome, who inherits a large sum of money and has long had a crush on Candy (Shannon Woodward) who finds herself in trouble financially. When Candy needs money because her lousy ex Russ (Rathbone) isn’t making his payment, Evan gives her what she needs to keep from being evicted. Evan wants Candy as his girlfriend but Candy is juggling the ex and a married boyfriend. Money and unrequited love are generally a bad mix.

The Vampire Diaries is all new tonight with episode 2 “Brave New World.” Check out the behind the scenes photos with Paul Wesley, Michael Trevino, Taylor Kinney, Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev and Candice Accola.

Tonight’s epi synopsis: When a confused and desperate Caroline (Candice Accola) leaves the hospital and joins her friends at the Mystic Falls Carnival, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) wants to take immediate action, but Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) come to Caroline’s defense. Matt (Zach Roerig) is completely mystified by Caroline’s behavior, but still tries to tell her about his feelings for her. Damon has suspicions about Tyler’s Uncle Mason (guest star Taylor Kinney) and uses Tyler’s (Michael Trevino) volatile personality in an attempt to get Mason to reveal his secret. Upset with everything going on around her, Bonnie (Katerina Graham) takes her anger out on Damon.

Actress Katerina Graham, who is also an incredible singer, talks about the evolution of her “The Vampire Diaries” character Bonnie Bennett, who returned with a new fearless and confident demeanor, in an exclusive interview for TV Guide.

“She’s definitely a lot stronger and more empowered and less fearful,” Katerina said. “She started off as this timid sidekick and she’s been through so much that she’s really had to develop an inner strength. She’s shot through the roof in terms of being more honest. There’s a lot of guilt that if she would have said, ‘No we’re not [opening the tomb], figure it out yourself’, she would still have her grandmother.”

SPOILER: Katerina revealed that Bonnie gets really angry over Damon Salvatore’s (Ian Somerhalder) reckless behavior and she will do something unthinkable in the second episode of the new season of The Vampire Diaries, which will air tonight (September 16).

Canadian teen superstar Justin Bieber declares one girl is not enough for him because he is constantly travelling around the world, but he also doesn’t have time for girls. Bieber is too busy and he doesn’t know what he really wants.

With all the traveling he does, Justin says he just “can’t really have one girl.”

“I mean, girlfriends are trouble at this age,” Justin explained to MTV News at the VMAs. “Girls are fun to hang out with but, like, having that one steady girl … we’re constantly traveling and one girl’s not gonna really [work]. You can’t really have one girl. I don’t really have any crushes at the moment.”

Justin basically wanted to say that he loves having lots of girl-friends, but he cannot afford to have a girlfriend. The 16 year-old wants to fully concentrate on his career at the moment and girls are time consuming no matter if it’s just a girl-friend or a girlfriend!

Actor Jaden Smith, Bieber’s friend and “Never Say Never” collaborator, agrees with him, claiming he is also just having fun and not looking for a serious relationship. “Right now, the best thing is [that we're] just teenagers having fun doing what we love,” Justin explained. “We’re just staying ourselves and remaining humble.”

The good news is: Justin Bieber is single!!!!

Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers is finally legal!! Nicholas Jerry Jonas celebrates his 18th birthday today, Thursday (September 16). He decided to celebrate this important date by going bowling with some of his best friends, including his ex-girlfriend Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato on Wednesday night (pictures/videos below).

Miley left her boyfriend Liam Hemsworth at home. Poor Liam was most probably not invited anyway. This party also gave BFFs, Miley and Demi, the opportunity to reunite again after Demi was dumped by the “Can’t Be Tamed” singer’s brother Trace Cyrus.

Big brothers, Kevin Jonas and Joe Jonas wished Nick a Happy Birthday via Twitter. Joe tweeted, “Happy birthday to one of my best friends also happens to be my brother @nickjonas.” Kevin tweeted, “Happy birthday @nickjonas love u bro” While his sister-in-law Danielle Deleasa-Jonas said, “Happy Birthday Nick ! Love you.”

The Vampire Diaries actress really has her plate full this season playing both the vampire Katherine and human Elena Gilbert.
