Aussie actor Chris Hemsworth, the big brother of Miley Cyrus’ former boyfriend/“The Last Song” co-star Liam Hemsworth, will become one of Mavel’s most iconic superheroes, the Mighty Thor, in the upcoming movie “Thor” (watch movie trailer below).

“Thor” tells the story of The Mighty Thor, a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth and forced to live among humans as punishment. Once here, Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.
The movie “Thor” directed by Kenneth Branagh also stars Natalie Portman, Kat Dennings and Sir Anthony Hopkins. “Thor” in 3D hits theaters May 2011.
