Actor Darren Criss, best known for his role as openly gay Blaine Anderson in “Glee”, lands the cover of Billboard Magazine. The 24 year-old actor, who is preparing to go on tour with his GLEE co-stars (tour dates here), admitted Disney inspired him to get into musicals and musical theater.

GOOD NEWS: Darren revealed that he has been working on a solo album to possibly release in the future. The actor would love to be able to do that for himself and his fans, and is grateful for the doors “Glee” opened for him.

Here are some highlights from Darren Criss’ Billboard interview:

On his love for musical theater: “For me, it was Disney. I remember seeing people’s reaction to Aladdin and thinking, “Oh, man, I want to be a genie when I grow up!” Robin Williams is a pretty big character in San Francisco.”

On prepping for the Glee tour: “A year ago, I was so psyched that my first show in L.A. was at the Troubadour. Talk about so much for baby steps. It’s like, “Wait—Staples Center, are you kidding me?” I was happy to drive around in a beat-up, crappy old van with my bandmates and just go to small clubs around the country.”

On the possibility of a solo album: “We’re working on it—we’re really excited and it’s something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time. I’m so thrilled that it’s something that can happen because of Glee and like the Warblers album I hope I can do it justice and make it something that people can really enjoy.”

Sucker Punch star Vanessa Hudgens, who is currently irresponsibly single and looking for love, graces the cover of the latest issue of Candy Magazine (April 2011). Vanessa gets really candid for Candy.

The 22 year-old former Disney actress talked about what she does to fight all the negative comments about her image and her career in the media. Vanessa’s girl friends are the best support after a tough day.

“I just try to let it go in one ear and out the other and continue to live,” Vanessa confessed. “There is just way too much nonsense in this business. I’m not one for nonsense. If I read something weird or upsetting, I’ll call my girlfriend, we’ll go to swim class, and everything is all better.”

Vanessa has been paying a very high price for compromising pictures taken years ago that continue circulating all over the internet. Stupid. Vanessa’s behavior is irreprehensible, but that “mistake” will haunt her for the rest of her life.

HOT! Taylor Lautner looks extra hot and super intense in the first released poster for his new movie, an action thriller titled “Abduction” also starring Lily Collins, who is also rumored to be his girlfriend (shh…).

Nina Dobrev has landed a role in The Perks of Being a Wallflower.

The Vampire Diaries actress is joining Logan Lerman and Emma Watson for the adaptation of the book by author Stephen Chbosky, according to Deadline.

Dobrev, 21, will play Candace, while Logan is Charlie and Watson has the role of Sam.

The book is consistently challenged in many libraries across the U.S. for it’s themes of drug use, sex, homosexuality, child abuse and suicide according to the American Library Association.

Nina has just wrapped season 2 of The Vampire Diaries and is expected to start filming this soon, on her summer break from TVD. She also stars in The Killing Game with Kellan Lutz, due out later this year.

Disney star Demi Lovato teamed up with Seventeen Magazine and the Jed Foundation for a new campaign, “Love Is Louder”, to help teenagers deal with problems like depression, eating disorders and self-mutilation. Fantastic idea!

The 18 year-old, who recently went to rehab to deal with emotional and physical issues, expects to be able to reach teens by sharing her own experience as a Contributing Editor for Seventeen Magazine.

Demi said, “I’m so excited to be working with Seventeen and The Jed Foundation to help other teens talk about and cope with the problems we all face. My fans have been such an incredible support system for me—I hope I can repay this and help other girls learn from my experiences.”

Only five more episodes left before the close of season 2 on The Vampire Diaries and tonight’s promises to bring the drama.

Episode 2.18 “The Last Dance” is going to have a death that will have you full-on weeping. The shocks that are touted for tonight’s show are epic – and it isn’t even the finale yet! We do know that Kat Graham has told reporters that there are 3 major deaths that occur before the season is through – if Isobel’s was one last week or not, no one is confirming – but tonight definitely contains a significant one.

Besides the death watch, Alaric’s body is inhabited by Klaus and I can’t wait to see him/them go rogue and do some Mystic Falls damage – whether it’s physical or psychological – I’m looking forward to the havoc he brings tonight.

Here is the official synopsis of tonight’s episode:

DANCING WITH DANGER — As the high school prepares to throw a “1960s Decade Dance,” Elena (Nina Dobrev) starts receiving disturbing messages from Klaus via an unusual source. Bonnie (Katerina Graham) tries to reassure Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) that she is strong enough to help Elena, but a worried Jeremy asks Stefan (Paul Wesley) for advice. Caroline (Candice Accola) talks Matt (Zach Roerig) into taking her to the dance. Expecting Klaus to show up at the dance, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Alaric (Matt Davis) attend as chaperones, but Klaus is playing a complicated game that keeps them on edge. Finally, Damon comes up with a new plan of action that shocks and upsets everyone.

Taylor Lautner will get to flex those serious muscles in his new film Abduction.

This is the Twilight star’s first major role following the successful vampire/werewolf franchise and the 19 year-old actor said he chose a role that would push and challenge him.

“There was a lot of different challenges, physically and emotionally,” Lautner told MTV. “There was a lot of stunt work to do, a lot of action so there was a lot of training involved.”

“Emotionally as well, the character is a completely different person from the beginning of the film to end,” he said. “It’s a real journey, so I had to prepare for that. I did a lot of work with John Singleton, our director, Lily [Collins] and the whole cast.”

“I was very fotunate to be surrounded by amazing actors and John, who was really helpful,” he continued.

Miley Cyrus is a lucky girl! Another of her dreams was finally fulfilled when she performed on stage with one of her idols, rocker Joan Jett, during a special appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show on Wednesday (April 13)- watch video below.

Joan joined Miley on stage to perform a medley of some of the rocker’s classic hits, including “Bad Reputation”, “Cherrybomb” and “I Hate Myself For Loving You”. I LOVED IT.

Former High School Musical star, Zac Efron, who is still single after breaking up with his longtime girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens, is one of the hotties in People’s Most Beautiful list for 2011.

The 23 year-old actor, who was also named one of the Most Amazing Bodies by People Magazine last year, is not a superficial guy like most people think he is. Zac believes the most important is to feel comfortable and enjoy life.

Zac once said, “I think it’s important to remember to live in the moment and enjoy every day to the fullest.”

Zac is currently working extra hard to bulk up and look ripped to play a role of a marine in the upcoming movie, “The Lucky One”, with the help of his trainer Logan Hood.

Former Heroes hottie Hayden Panettiere talked about her new movie “Scream 4” and shared some intimate details of her relationship with boyfriend Wladimir Klitschko in an interview for The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

The 21 year-old actress confessed she already loved the “Scream” movies before she was invited to star in the fourth installment of the series. Hayden felt welcomed and loved working with the Scream family, including names like Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette.

On Scream movies: “I was seven when it came out and so I waited until a little bit later in life to experience Scream. It was something that I was a big fan of. It’s got that Halloween aspect with the masked person, but at the same time it’s got that very realistic aspect; the fear of somebody breaking into your house. That’s a terrifying thing.”

On filming Scream 4: “It was a great experience. It’s always a little bit nerve-wracking when you come into a family; something that was already established. They’d been through so much together. You really have to tread lightly on that and have respect for that, and find your way into that group and where you fit in. But they were always great with that. They really had an interest in knowing us and including us, and really made that effort, and it made it a great experience.”

On her giant boyfriend Waldimir (6’6’’): “He is quite a bit bigger than me.I get the prudest people coming up to me and they’re like, does it work? Yeah, it works. We find a way. Where there’s a will, there’s a way!”
