he plays Finn, the naive (and sometimes dim) football player on Glee, Cory Monteith‘s real-life past might be closer to Puck’s rebellious ways.

Monteith tells Parade magazine he was in a world of trouble as a young teen addict and drop out.

“I burned a lot of bridges,” he says. “I was out of control.”

At that point, so was his drug use. Monteith admits, “Anything and everything, as much as possible,” he says. “I had a serious problem.”

After a couple of tries at rehab, Cory, now 29, confesses that he did what many addicts do to loved ones: steal from them.

“I stole a significant amount of money from a family member,” he admits. “I knew I was going to get caught, but I was so desperate I didn’t care. It was a cry for help. I was confronted and I said, ‘Yeah, it was me.’ It was the first honorable, truthful thing that had come out of my mouth in years.”

This time, he was truly serious about recovery and knew he had to change. Monteith says although he’s a private person, he wants others to understand even though he’s successful now, it was a long hard road to get there.

“I don’t want kids to think it’s okay to drop out of school and get high, and they’ll be famous actors, too. … But for those people who might give up: Get real about what you want and go after it. If I can, anyone can.”

Vanessa Marano smiled for the cameras on the red carpet of the 37th Annual Saturn Awards held at the Castaway in Burbank, California on June 23rd. The Saturn Awards recognize excellence in science fiction, fantasy and horror films.

The Without A Trace actress wore an olive green zip-front jersey dress for the event. She was presenting the Best Performance by a Young Actor (winner: Chloe Moretz) and Best Production Design (Tron: Legacy).

Marano, 18, told reporters she was thrilled how well her new show, Switched At Birth, is doing on ABC Family.

“It had a really good debut and it’s been keeping it pretty strong and I’m really excited about it. Yay us! Hopefully we stay on the air!”

Strike a pose!

Chloe Moretz stepped out for the 37th Annual Saturn Awards at The Castaway in Burbank, Ca late last week and worked that red carpet. The Saturn Awards recognize excellence in science fiction, fantasy and horror films.

The 14 year-old actress chose a multi-print Versace shift dress with red, black and turquoise colors for the show. She was the winner of the Best Performance by a Younger Actor trophy for her role in the vampire flick Let Me In.

Chloe is headed back to England to complete work on director Tim Burton‘s Dark Shadows starring Johnny Depp and Michelle Pfieffer.

Jennette McCurdy is adorable as ever in the new behind-the-scenes video of her photo shoot for Rebecca Bonbon.

The iCarly star has been chosen as the face of the fashion and lifestyle brand and will be featured in upcoming ads for back-to-school.

Rebecca Bonbon was created by Yuko Shimizu, the original illustrator of Hello Kitty. Bonbon is her latest imaginative character who happens to be a bulldog.

The character Rebecca Bonbon is a super cute French bulldog who was born in Paris and adopted by a young American. Rebecca has impeccable fashion sensibilities and a knack for the finer things in life: travel, shopping, and sweet bonbons. She now lives with her American friend in a fabulous apartment overlooking Central Park.

Everything from shirts to skirts, sleepwear, handbags and accessories is adorned with Bonbon cuteness sold at KMart and Sears.

Raven Symone goes inside to get ready for her appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on Friday night, June 25th.

Symone, 25, is making the press rounds to promote her new show State of Georgia on ABC Family.

The actress spoke to Fallon about her first music single at age 5, The Cosby Show reunion, her new comedy and Justin Bieber.

Off screen, their friendship is as tight as ever so it was no surprise that Kristen Stewart hung with Taylor Lautner at the LA Film Festival screening of A Better Life at the Regal Cinemas on June 21st.

The Twilight costars hit the red carpet to support New Moon filmmaker, Chris Weitz’ latest effort and show some love to their former director.

KStew was super relaxed in skinny jeans, a tee and high heels and Taylor opted for a black vest with his dark pants and button down shirt.

Weitz told reporters he was grateful that Stewart and Lautner came out to the event.

“They know that if they come out for something like this they are going to be screamed at and torn at,” he said. “For them to do that for me, and to run the gauntlet, it really touches me.”

Taylor Momsen is known for head to toe black clothing (when she chooses to wear clothes at all) but for handbag company Samantha Thavasa, the singer opted for a pretty shade of pink for a nice change.

Momsen, 17, is the new face of the Japan-based accessory brand and she took the stage modeling a large black satchel in a petal colored shift dress while most of the other girls wore outfits in her preferred shade of black.

The former Gossip Girl told the interviewer that she “didn’t follow trends” but she was into long skirts because she likes options.

Hanging out roadside, Hailee Steinfeld gets her pose on for the fashion brand Miu Miu.

The 14 year-old actress’ first photo after being named the face of the label was shot by famed photographer Bruce Weber at an outdoor location with a ‘No Trespassing’ sign.

Steinfeld is wearing the brand’s bird print top, gray wool skirt, oversize chocolate clutch and sunglasses for the ad. She is fast becoming one of the fashion world’s young Hollywood darlings for her red carpet style (and she opts for lots of Prada and Miu Miu at red carpet events, of course.)

Selena Gomez looked so elegant as she walked the red carpet of the Lincoln Square Thertre in New York City for the Teen Vogue premiere of Monte Carlo on Thursday, June 23rd.

The 18 year-old chose a bluebell colored gown from J Mendel. The draped bodice, softly pleated skirt and slight sparkle gave Selena a sophisticated look that was amazing.

Gomez told reporters how thrilled she was working on film and heading into the next chapter of her career.

“The whole experience of ‘Monte Carlo’ was so much fun,” Selena says. “I haven’t done a lot of film work, so for me this was a really big step for me and I worked really hard.”

Being the supportive boyfriend that he is, Justin Bieber headed inside the Lincoln Square Theatre in New York City to meet up with his girlfriend, Selena Gomez at the premiere of her new movie Monte Carlo.

Wearing his dark denim jacket and red kicks, Bieber, 17, went inside and reportedly had to be locked in the bathroom of the theater for his safety, very briefly, until security could get a handle on some over-zealous fans.

Once that was taken care of, he sat with his girl Selena, kissed her hand and shared popcorn. Date night for the two teen stars!
