The rumors are true!

Britney Spears and boyfriend Jason Trawick are engaged!!!

As GossipTeen previously reported, Trawick proposed to Spears Thursday night, while the pair was vacationing in Las Vegas to celebrate the groom-to-be’s 40th birthday.

The couple made their first appearance as fiancés at a Planet Hollywood bash for Trawick.  Spears wore a a pale pink dress and she proudly flashed her 1,000 watt smile along with her three carat Neil Lane bling

According to an insider, the couple couldn’t be happier to be sharing this news with family, friends and fans.

This is something they’ve both wanted for a long time… It’s a way to cement their family. They’re both extremely happy and can’t wait to become man and wife.

I wonder if KFed will be invited to the nuptials…

Inside Taylor Swift’s 22nd Birthday Bash

Written by Kelly Bandas on December 17, 2011 – 7:34 am -

Country superstar Taylor Swift may have turned 22 back on December 13th, but a heavy touring schedule kept the blonde beauty from celebrating her big day surrounded by family and friends – What’s a girl to do?

Throw herself a belated birthday bash – that’s what!

Surrounded by pals from the bands Paramore, Hot Celle Rae and Parachute, Swift rang in her 22nd year in style at her home in Nashville, TN.

According to a source who attended the par-tay,

Taylor had a great time and was very happy… She was bouncing around from person to person and laughing about all the cat lady jokes!

Oh right, I forgot to mention those…  Apparently, Taylor’s friends have been giving her a hard time about how obsessed she is with her new feline companion “Meredith” and have taken to jokingly calling her a “cat lady”.  Hilarious.

Happy (belated) birthday Tay-Tay!

Kim Kardashian Says She’s NOT Looking for Love

Written by Kelly Bandas on December 16, 2011 – 10:36 am -

Newly separated socialite Kim Kardashian says that after ending her relationship with NBA star husband Kris Humphries she’s not ready to to find another man just yet and is eager to focus on taking time for herself.

That’s probably a good thing, because I can’t see any guy in his right mind going after a gal who just called it quits after only 72 days of marriage, but then again, I’m not sure the guys who go after the Kardashians are in their right minds.

In an interview with US Magazine the 31-year-old shared her plans for finding herself in the new year.

I’m really thinking that 2011 was a lot of learning lessons… 2012, I’m just excited for the New Year and the new me.

Despite the fact that the reality star says that she “believe[s] in love…always,” she is simply “…not looking,” for a new ex-husband, excuse me, husband, just yet.

Britney Spears is Engaged Ya’ll!

Written by Kelly Bandas on December 16, 2011 – 10:13 am -

Pop superstar Britney Spears and boyfriend Jason Trawick may have something extra to celebrate this holiday season, as sources are reporting that the pair got engaged in Las Vegas last night!

And by sources, I mean Britney Spears herself, who Tweeted,

OMG. Last night Jason surprised me with the one gift I’ve been waiting for. Can’t wait to show you! SO SO SO excited!!!! Xxo

But seriously, other sources have been flapping their gums regarding all the legal hoops Jason has had to jump through in order to put a ring on his bride-to-be.  Because Brit’s father is still acting as her conservator, Jason had to first get his permission (pretty normal, right?) and then take his request before a judge (sooooo not normal).

While it may not be the traditional proposal every little girl dreams about, we’re still super excited for Britney to put down some roots and settle down with a good man.

Congrats Brit-Brit!

Happy Birthday Vanessa Hudgens!!!

Written by Kelly Bandas on December 15, 2011 – 10:39 am -

High School Musical sweetheart Vanessa Hudgens turned the big 2-3 yesterday and celebrated her special day with new beau, actor Austin Butler by her side.

The actress, who will star in the 2012 releases Journey 2: The Mysterious Island and Gimme Shelter, has come a long way from her HSM roots – and has looks positively fabulous the whole way.  As an extra special 23rd birthday gift, Hudgens is about to begin filming Spring Breakers with hottie James Franco and BFFs Selena Gomez and Emma Roberts.

For my 23rd birthday I got a gift certificate to Forever 21… I think I got jipped.

Happy birthday Vanessa!

Ashley Tisdale Splits with BF Scott Speer

Written by Kelly Bandas on December 15, 2011 – 10:25 am -

Hellcats star Ashley Tisdale has ended her two-year relationship with music video director boyfriend Scott Speer.

Can I get a collective “awwwwww :( “?

The couple, who began dating shortly after Tisdale ended her relationship with V Factory band member Jared Murillo, have been a great match both personally and professionally – Speer directed five of Tisdale’s music videos, including “He Said She Said,” “Not Like That,” “Suddenly,” “It’s Alright, It’s OK” and “Crank It Up.”

However, it seems that their undeniable chemistry could no longer bond them together (Get it!?!?! It’s a science joke.)  According to a source close to the pair, Tisdale and Speer “… tried to work it out but realized their relationship ran its course,”

Looks like the Tis will be looking for a new man to smooch under the mistletoe this holiday season!

2012 Golden Globe Nominees Announced

Written by Kelly Bandas on December 15, 2011 – 9:26 am -

The nominees for the 68th annual Golden Globe Awards were announced today and GossipTeen has the full list of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s nominations, as well as our tops picks for who should take home one of Hollywood’s top honors.

Hold on to your hats!!

Best Drama
The Descendants
The Help
Hugo
The Ides of March
Moneyball
War Horse

GossipTeens Pick:  Well, I’m a chick, so obviously I’m partial to The Help, but whether I like it or not, the gilded globe is mostly likely going to The Descendants.  Don’t get me wrong – it’s not that The Descendants wasn’t a great film, I would just like to see my girl Emma Stone get some major Hollywood props!

Best Comedy/Musical
50/50
The Artist
Bridesmaids
Midnight in Paris
My Week with Marilyn

GossipTeen Pick:  Um, DUH!  Bridesmaids! (*See above about me being a chick*)

Best Animated Film
Rango
The Adventures of Timtin
Puss in Boots
Winnie the Pooh
Arthur Christmas

GossipTeen Pick:  If there is any justice in the world, the nod will go to the fantastic (non-computer generated) Winnie the Pooh remake.  However, the more realistic choice is for the hugely successful Puss in Boots.

Best Actor in a Drama
George Clooney, The Descendants
Brad Pitt, Moneyball
Ryan Gosling, The Ides of March
Michael Fassbender, Shame
Leonardo DiCaprio, J. Edgar

GossipTeen Pick: My vote goes to Leo in J.Edgar, but my prediction for the actual winner is Mr. Clooney in The Descendants – he’s just too damn charming not to win.

Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical
Jean Dujardin, The Artist
Brendan Gleeson, The Guard
Joseph Gordon-Levitt, 50/50
Ryan Gosling, Crazy, Stupid, Love.
Owen Wilson, Midnight in Paris

GossipTeen Pick:  Wouldn’t it be great if Ryan Gosling could win something!?  Unfortunately, he won’t be taking home this category either – Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical will most likely go to Jean Dujardin in The Artist.

Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture
Kenneth Branagh, My Week With Marilyn
Albert Brooks, Drive
Jonah Hill, Moneyball
Christopher Plummer, Beginners
Viggo Mortensen, A Dangerous Method

GossipTeen Pick: Christopher Plummer in Beginners.  He is awesome.  The end.

Best Actress in a Drama
Glenn Close, Albert Nobbs
Viola Davis, The Help
Rooney Mara, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo
Meryl Streep, The Iron Lady
Tilda Swinton, We Need to Talk About Kevin

GossipTeen Pick: You’d have to be a fool not to put your money on Meryl Streep, but I can’t help but think that Rooney Mara may pull this one out for her stellar performance in The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.

Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy
Jodie Foster, Carnage
Charlize Theron, Young Adult
Kristen Wiig, Bridesmaids
Michelle Williams, My Week with Marilyn
Kate Winslet, Carnage

GossipTeen Pick: Kristen Wiig! Kristen Wiig!  A thousand times Kristin Wiig!

Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture
Shailene Woodley, The Descendants
Octavia Spencer, The Help
Janet McTeer, Albert Nobbs
Berenice Bejo, The Artist
Jessica Chastain, The Help

GossipTeen Pick: While Jessica Chastain and Octavia Spencer were both incredible in The Help, the award will most likely go to Berenice Bejo for her work in The Artist.
Best Director
Woody Allen, Midnight in Paris
George Clooney, The Ides of March
Michel Hazanavicius, The Artist
Alexander PayneThe Descendants
Martin Scorsese, Hugo

GossipTeen Pick:  Such a star-studded category!  Midnight in Paris was such a fun, quirky film, that I’d love to see Woody Allen bring this one home, but I have a hunch that Alexander Payne and his masterful direction of The Descendants will take this one home.

Best TV Comedy or Musical
Enlightened
Episodes
Glee
Modern Family
New Girl

GossipTeen Pick: Um, isn’t there some sort of unwritten rule that all TV awards must be given to Modern Family?

Best Mini-Series or Motion Picture
Cinema Verite
Downton Abbey
The Hour
Mildred Pierce
Too Big To Fail

GossipTeen Pick:  Mildred Pierce should walk away a winner in this category.

Best Actor in a TV Drama
Bryan Cranston, Breaking Bad
Steve Buscemi, Boardwalk Empire
Damian Lewis, Homeland
Jeremy Irons, The Borgias
Kelsey Grammer, Boss

GossipTeen Pick: TOUGH choice here, but I’m going to have to go with Bryan Cranston in Breaking Bad - he’s character is just too dynamic not to win.

Best Actor in a TV Musical or Comedy
Alec Baldwin, 30 Rock
David Duchovny, Californication
Johnny GaleckiThe Big Bang Theory
Thomas JaneHung
Matt LeBlancEpisodes

GossipTeen Pick:  If Johnny Galecki wins this I quit at life.  My vote goes for Alec Baldwin in 30 Rock.
Best Supporting Actor in TV Series, Mini-Series, or Made-for-TV Movie
Peter Dinklage, Game of Thrones
Paul Giamatti, Too Big To Fail
Guy Pearce, Mildred Pierce
Tim Robbins, Cinema Verite
Eric Stonestreet, Modern Family

GossipTeen Pick: Would love to see either Paul Giamatti or Tim Robbins walk away with this one, but the nod will probably go to Peter Dinklage for his work in the wildly popular, Game of Thrones.

Best Actress in a TV Drama
Claire Danes, Homeland
Mireille Enos, The Killing
Julianna Margulies, The Good Wife
Madeleine Stowe, Revenge
Callie Thorne, Necessary Roughness

GossipTeen Pick: Revenge is the worst show on television – the fact that it is even mentioned on this list appalls me.  Claire Danes should win this one – hands down.

Best Actress in a TV Musical or Comedy
Laura DernEnlightened
Zooey DeschanelNew Girl
Tina Fey30 Rock
Laura Linney, The Big C
Amy PoehlerParks and Recreation

GossipTeen Pick:  TINA FEY!!!  Although, I do love me some Amy Poehler.

Best Supporting Actress in TV Series, Mini-Series, or Made-for-TV Movie
Jessica Lange, American Horror Story
Kelly Macdonald, Boardwalk Empire
Maggie Smith, Downton Abbey
Sofia VergaraModern Family
Evan Rachel WoodMildred Pierce

GossipTeen Pick: Is Sofia Vergara actually funny or is she just so hot that people don’t care?  My vote goes to Evan Rachel Wood for Mildred Pierce
Catch the 2012 Gold Globe Awards January 16th on NBC!

Paris Jackson’s First Solo Interview

Written by Kelly Bandas on December 14, 2011 – 11:04 am -

Paris Jackson, daughter of the late Michael Jackson, stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show to chat about growing up in the public eye (while constantly wearing a mask…) and her career aspirations as an actress.

The surprisingly normal 13-year-old, who just landed her first acting gig in the movie Lundon’s Bridge and the Three Keys, opened up about being inspired to go into acting after she seeing her dad act when she was young.

When I was really little. My Dad was in the movie Moonwalker and I knew he could sing really well but I didn’t know he could act… I saw that and I said, ‘wow, I want to be just like him.’

Paris also talked about the difficulties of growing up with a famous father – who made you wear a mask…

I thought, ‘This is stupid why am I wearing a mask?’ But I kind of realized the older I got like heonly tried to protect us and he’d explain that to us too.

Watch a portion of Paris’ interview below and check out the full interview when it airs Thursday December 15th!
