Ugh…what!?

Earlier this week, pop star Justin Beiber took to his Twitter to rant about a fan stealing his personal laptop and camera during a show in Tacoma, WA.

Sucks when u take personal footage and people don’t respect your privacy.

Yesterday during the show me and my tour manager Josh had some stuff stolen. Really sucks. People should respect other’s property.

THEN, in a surprising turn, The Beibs flipped the crime scene on its head when he revealed that the laptop theft was all part of an elaborate hoax to promote his latest single “Beauty and a Beat” featuring Nicki Minaj.

Since I was 14 i have had a lot of things said about me, from dying, to taking hormones, to dying again, to stuff about my family.

To saying i had a baby with a woman i never even met. nude pics, drugs, my family, my character…but today…today i get to be in on it.

So the joke was on us – or so we thought. In a statement issued today, a rep for Beiber says that the laptop and camera actually were stolen during the Tacoma show and that a police report was filed with the local authorities.

Be very clear, the laptop was indeed stolen in Tacoma. That was NOT a hoax.

Wait. So when did the hoax actually start? When Justin Tweeted about his non-existant privacy? Or when the fake Twitter handle @gexwy started making pretend threats? Or are we still in the midst of the biggest prank of all time!?!
