During a visit to the White House to meet President Barack Obama, the ladies of the U.S. Women’s Gymnastics team spent some time chatting with the president about their epic performance at the 2012 London Olympics and the amazing job the did representing the United States of America.

And then – they did “the face”.

You know, the “McKayla Maroney is not impressed face”.  For those of you who aren’t familiar, Maroney made a semi-scowl while on the podium to receive her silver medal for the vault and her surly mug went viral.

According to Maroney, the president was the one who brought up the face that launched a million memes.

He was the one who brought it up… We were about to leave and he said, ‘I want to talk to you one second about the face.’ He said, ‘I pretty much do that face at least once a day.

I, like, freaked out,” Maroney said. “He said, ‘Let’s do it together.’ We took a picture and now it’s everywhere.

The entire US-Olympic team visited the White House shortly after the Londay games wrapped this summer, but Gabby Douglas, Aly Raisman, Kyla Ross and Jordyn Wieber missed out because of their 40-city U.S. tour, which conveniently made a stop in D.C. on Thursday night and allowed the Fierce Five to finally meet the Commander and Chief.  And according to Maroney, the visit was certainly worth the wait.

He’s the coolest person I ever met… He’s got the hardest job in the entire world.
