So this should be interesting…

After months of hype, American Idol premiered on FOX last night with a brand spanking new judges table featuring Keith Urban, Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj and of course, veteran Randy Jackson.

Also new to the set were the slew of nasty, backhanded, catty, cutthroat remarks that divas Mariah and Nicki were slinging at each other all evening…

During one scene, Mariah is caught complaining about Nicki being allowed to bring her dog to the set AND about her ginormous (and slightly hilarious) majorette hat.

We can have accessories? I didn’t know that was allowed…

Sorry Mariah, but after all your years in the Diva business that’s the best dig you could come up with?  Pretty sad.

Later in the episode, Nicki was caught by A.I. cameras calling the senior singer a “B*tch” under her breath, which prompted the “All I Want for Christmas” songstress to lash out saying,

Anything that starts with a ‘B’ and ends with an ‘itch’ – I rebuke it!

You got right ahead and rebuke that insult Mariah.  You go riiiiight ahead.  We can’t wait to see what sort of antics the rest of this season brings!  Check out Nicki’s interview with Ellen DeGeneres below for more inside info on her feud with Mariah!
