We were devastated to learn that Hollywood super couple Juliane Hough and Ryan Seacrest pulled the plug on their two-year relationship – they were so perfect together!

But now that the dust has settled and we’ve had time to collect our thoughts, we’re left with one nagging question: Why?

According to a source close to the pair, Juliane simply couldn’t handle her beau’s hectic working schedule anymore.

Dude works all the time… He never sleeps.

We believe that!  Between American Idol, On-Air with Ryan Seacrest and his all of his duties over at E!, we can hardly believe Ryan finds the time to breathe!

The source continued,

It’s a lifestyle she couldn’t handle anymore. Work always, always came first [for Ryan] She wants a more lowkey life.

Even before the breakup, Juliane herself admitted that their combined work schedules made it difficult for them to find time to spend together.  When asked whether her man was able to stop by the set of her latest film Safe Haven often, the former Dancing with the Stars dancers replied simply,

We were working really hard, so we were really focused, but he came by a few times.

Bummer

There’s nothing like live TV!  Especially when the cast of the show can’t be bother to show up on time for filming!

During last night’s episode of American Idol, judge Nicki Minaj showed up a full 13 minutes after the show began!  Before her tardy arrival, host Ryan Seacrest made light of the situation by joking about the judge’s absence, but behind closed doors, sources say Seacrest as fuming!

Ryan was the angriest and Nigel [Lythgoe] was mad too. Nicki knew better.

And that wasn’t all.  Fellow A.I. judge and sworn enemy of all things Minaj-related, Mariah Carey was more than a little heated over her co-worker’s lateness.

Mariah was just annoyed, she’s really over [Nicki]. They were all just embarrassed that it happened.

This?  This is what they’re embarrassed over?  Not the absolutely ridiculous antics between Mariah and Nicki all season?  Yeah, this is waaaaay worse…

So this should be interesting…

After months of hype, American Idol premiered on FOX last night with a brand spanking new judges table featuring Keith Urban, Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj and of course, veteran Randy Jackson.

Also new to the set were the slew of nasty, backhanded, catty, cutthroat remarks that divas Mariah and Nicki were slinging at each other all evening…

During one scene, Mariah is caught complaining about Nicki being allowed to bring her dog to the set AND about her ginormous (and slightly hilarious) majorette hat.

We can have accessories? I didn’t know that was allowed…

Sorry Mariah, but after all your years in the Diva business that’s the best dig you could come up with?  Pretty sad.

Later in the episode, Nicki was caught by A.I. cameras calling the senior singer a “B*tch” under her breath, which prompted the “All I Want for Christmas” songstress to lash out saying,

Anything that starts with a ‘B’ and ends with an ‘itch’ – I rebuke it!

American Idol Season 8 runner-up Adam Lambert was certainly not swept up in the holiday season when he saw the film adaptation of Les Miserables this week…

The 30-year-old singer took to his Twitter to slam the film’s cast for “pretending” to be real singers.

Les Mis: Visually impressive with great Emotional performances. But the score suffered massively with great actors PRETENDING to be singers. It’s an opera. Hollywood’s movie musicals treat the singing as the last priority

Lambert went on to add:

I do think it was cool they were singing live, but with that cast, they should have studio recorded and sweetened the vocals. . . The singing was so distracting at times it pulled me out.

The industry will say ‘these actors were so brave to attempt singing this score live,’ but why not cast actors who could actually sound good? Sorry for being so harsh but it’s so true!

Ouch!

Adam did give Anne Hathaway a pass for her ”breathtaking” performance as the dying prostitute Fantine, but berated the rest of the cast for, well, not being as good a singer as he is!

Hey Adam, take a chill pill!  It’s just a movie!  Any by the way, we’d like to see you try your hand at the whole acting thing before you start ripping people for not being able to sing.  It’s not as east as it looks pal!

American Idol alumna Kelly Clarkson and her boyfriend of 1-year Brandon Blackstock (a.k.a. Reba McEntire’s stepson) are gettin’ hitched!

The 30-year-old singer made the announcement via her Twitter account yesterday saying,

I’M ENGAGED!!!!!  I wanted y’all to know!! Happiest night of my life last night! I am so lucky and am with the greatest man ever.

Awww.  We could not be happier for the “Catch My Breath” singer, who totally stole our hearts during the very first season of Idol, back in 2002.

The singer also posted a pic of the giant rock she’s now sporting on her left ring finger, along with the caption:

Everyone has been asking about my engagement ring, so here it is … It’s a yellow canary diamond with diamonds around.

During an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show last month, Clarkson revealed that while Blackstock hadn’t proposed just yet, she knew it was coming.

… We are totally going to get married. We love each other. We are totally going to get married one day…

Well Kel, that day is finally here!  Congrats to the happy couple!

And she tooootally nailed it!  Like nails as in crazy-*ss-Minaj-fingernails!

Alright, that was lame – but Miley Cyrus did completely outdo herself this year with her spot on take on hip hop super star Nicki Mianj.

The future Mrs. Hemsworth took to her Twitter to share the above pic and give a shout out to the inspiration behind her sweet costume.

Now, we know you’re all waiting to hear what Nicki’s completely over-the-top reaction was, but we’re going to have to disappoint you on this one.  Nicki actually loved the getup, telling USA TODAY:

Oh my god. She is the best Nicki Minaj impersonator I’ve seen in my life. She’s adorable!

The newest American Idol judge even went so far as to tell Ryan Seacrest about her own idea for Halloween:

I think I’m gonna go as Miley Cyrus because she’s going as me, and I just saw her picture on Twitter. Should I do the short, blond cut like Miley?

Wonder if Nicki followed up with that one…

American Idol newcomer Nicki Minaj has flown off the handle yet again after her run-in with fellow AI judge Mariah Carey.  Since the video of their altercation went viral, sources have reported that Mariah is accusing Nicki of threatening to kill her!  Apparently, Mariah says that she overheard the “Boys” singer saying,

If I had a gun, I would shoot the b**ch.

Since Mariah’s accusations were made public during Nicki’s apearance on The View this morning, Minaj has taken to her Twitter to defend herself.

The struggle to be a victim is real in these streets. Lmaooooooooooo. The struggle to not have the kid on the show is real in these streets. Lmaooooooooo.

The singer went on to Tweet:

According to reports, rookie American Idol judges Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey are already at each other’s throats and it’s only the audition phase!

Apparently, Nicki has already had enough of Ms. Carey’s diva-esque attitude and wants nothing to do with the “Triumphant” singer’s antics.

I told them, I’m not f***ing putting up with her f***ing highness over there.

Thanks for cleaning it up for us Nicki.  Always a class act.

Looks like Katy Perry’s finally the one doing the rejecting!

Yikes – too soon?

After being approached by American Idol executives to fill one of the vacant judge’s seats on the shows upcoming 11th season, Wide Awake singer Katy Perry has reportedly turned down their $20 million offer!

Apparently, the show’s producers initially offered Perry the same $18 million that new judge Mariah Carey signed on for, but when the newly single songstress turned that down, they upped the ante to a cool $20 mil.

And that’s for a ONE YEAR commitment folks.  Must be nice!

According to sources, the money isn’t the issue – Katy’s upcoming schedule is simply far too demanding for her to join the Idol team.

It’s too bad really; we think KP would’ve made an awesome addition to the judge’s table!

Ha ha. Ha ha ha ha… HAHAHAHAHAH!!!

Sorry, sorry.  We <3 American Idol winner Scotty McCreey as much as the next person, but this is just too funny not to have a good chuckle.

Apparently, while on tour with the notorious prankster Brad Paisley this summer, 18-year-old Scotty had a bit of a mishap while covering Travis Tritt‘s hit “T-R-O-U-B-L-E” on Friday night.

Dagum @BradPaisley pranked me again . . .he narrowed up the stage on me for my last song,

That’s a pretty elaborate prank, but hey – we wouldn’t put it past ol’ Brad!

For his part, Scotty’s had an excellent attitude about the whole thing – posting a video of the fall on his Twitter account with the caption, “if anyone needs a good laugh…” and letting band mates set up orange cones and caution tape around the stage for his next show.
