Members of the Nickelodeon recording act Big Time Rush, James Maslow, Logan Henderson, Carlos Pena and Kendall Schmidt were humbled yesterday when they were given the opportunity to sing the National Anthem before the Dallas Cowboys vs. Miami Dolphins football game.

The group, who released their sophomore album, Elevated on Monday, sounded pitch perfect as they sang in front of a sellout crowd at Cowboys Stadium in super match-matchy outfits.

While the boys sounded great, I couldn’t help but thinking that instead of getting their game faces on, all the players on the sidelines were secretly thinking about how they could beat up the entire group singlehandedly – and blindfolded.

The guys of Big Time Rush hit the orange carpet for Nickelodeon’s 2011 Kids Choice Awards held at the USC Galen Center in Los Angeles on Saturday, April 2nd.

Logan Henderson, Kendall Schmidt, Carlos Pena and James Maslow were performing with Snoop Dogg their hit song “Boyfriend” for the show.

The guys told reporters at the event that they are so close and together so much, they’ve become family.

“We see each other seven days a week. We’ve kind of become like brothers. We bicker all the time but we get over it pretty quickly,” explained Maslow.

The Big Time Rush guys have a video for the song “Stuck” that got, well, stuck.

Director Marcus Wagner said:

“This is one of a series of three music videos I directed for BTR, all of them in one day. This particular one never aired, but I liked it and the song better than any of them.”

Carlos Pena, Kendall Schmidt, Logan Henderson and James Maslow are great in this video.

Big Time Rush gets some holiday help from Miranda Cosgrove in the seasonal treat: Big Time Christmas.

The guys of BTR want to head home to Minnesota for the break but find out they have to record 3 songs for a holiday EP before they can go anywhere. On the Mariah Carey song, “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” Carlos, Logan, Kendall and James get Miranda to duet with them – and have Fabio dressed as Santa driving a sleigh!

The hour long show airs Saturday, December 4th at 8PM.

The members of the Big Time Rush band, Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow, Carlos Pena Jr. and Logan Henderson, offered their fans a fantastic show, which also included a meet and greet, at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota.

BTR performed hits like “Famous”, “Till I Forget About You”, “City Is Ours”, “Big Time Rush” and a surprising encore of “Big Night” for more than 9 thousand screaming fans on the four floors of the mall.

After performing, BTR had the opportunity to sign autographs to 700 lucky fans. The Nickelodeon band talked to J-14 exclusively (watch video below). They confessed “City Is Ours” is the song that is getting the best reaction from the fans.

“We’re sitting there for a while and we get to meet thousands of fans that we knew were out there but didn’t know personally,” James Maslow says. “It’s cool to get that personal aspect to it because we really do love them all.”

Kendall Schmidt agrees, telling us, “My favorite thing about the tour is people watching. I saw some really awesome eyes — one girl had like neon green eyes! It was crazy!”
