American Idol season six winner and ‘Battlefield’ singer Jordin Sparks has been announced as the opening act for the 2nd half of Britney Spears North American Circus Tour.

“Britney’s show is incredible and for me to be a part of it is a great opportunity,” Sparks said in a statement.

‘Love, Sex and Magic’ singer Ciara had toured with Spears in the UK and was thought to be the opening act for the rest of the US dates, but she is no longer mentioned. Kristina DeBarge will also appear on all dates as well as Girlicious for some special shows.

Country star Taylor Swift has a crush on Britney Spears. Taylor went nuts when she found her Britney’s poster missing from her bathroom! Yeah, you heard me!

Thank God it was just her thoughtful mom cleaning up the place and giving the poster a more honorable location in Taylor’s house. Britney – from bathroom to bedroom in Taylor’s latest MySpace blog entry:

“While I was in L.A. my mom reorganized my bathroom… But then I turned around and was startled by something… Where was my Britney Spears poster…. No, this can’t be right… WHERE is it?!? I searched the room frantically for a few seconds before finding it’s new spot. My Britney Spears poster (from 6th grade) had been relocated to my bedroom, which is another AMAZING upgrade. This way, I see it more often and it more proudly displays my unwavering devotion to Britney Spears.”

 

Wearing hoop gowns, bonnets and shawls might seem a bit granny-ish but our comeback gal Britney Spears went christmas caroling with Ellen DeGeneres and the two got into the old-time spirit of things. Very victorian era looking and they seemed to be having genuine fun. Watch the episode air on December 16.

Britney Spears’s second single out of her brand new album with the same title is “Circus”. If you ask me I say the music video is kind of boring but Britney looks HOT!

Britney Spears celebrated her birthday and the release of her comeback album “Circus” earlier today at Good Morning America. Britney performs her new songs “Womanizer”, “Circus” and receives a special message from some celebrity friends/fans like Hugh Jackman, Reese Witherspoon and Taylor Swift.

Miley Cyrus and Britney Spears are for the first time on same the stage at the British talent show X-Factor. Miley and Britney are both promoting their new albums in Europe and although they have very distinct styles they both rocked the stage!! Miley performed “7 Things” while Britney did her 3rd performance in a row of her hit single “Womanizer”.

Brit’s favorite song of the new album to be release on her birthday (December 2nd) is “Circus” so that’s how she decided to name it Circus too! Britney confesses that her next tour will also include songs from her “Blackout” album.
