‘The Vampire Diaries’ What’s Next & Spoilers!
Written by Violet on February 22, 2010 – 9:08 pm -The Vampire Diaries doesn’t return until March 25th with a new episode but until then, here are a couple of hints about what’s to come in the final few episodes of the season. E!Online’s Watch with Kristen has some dish (get the spoilers by clicking the link below.)
Mae in Atlanta: Please tell me some of the sexy Vampire Diaries stars are hooking up in real-life!
Not so, says Candice Accola (Caroline). “There’s so much heat going on onscreen—we’re all just a family,” Candice tells us with a laugh. “I wish there was some juice or some crazy things going down, but not really. We disgustingly all just get along, and no one’s dating.” So apparently all the drama is happening on the show? Hmph!

The Vampire Diaries Recap: Episode 12 ‘Unpleasantville’
Written by Violet on January 29, 2010 – 10:56 am -After watching The Vampire Diaries ‘Unpleasantville’ last night, I realized that Mystic Falls is the US headquarters of ‘Vampires-R-Us’ and there is some kind of super villain convention going on for the Free Katherine society - let’s make t-shirts! Here is a recap the fifties decade dance of death episode
Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) is getting stalked by Anna (Malese Jow) who also happens to be a vampire. Poor Jeremy. She only wants him for one thing: the Gilbert family diary which contains the answers to releasing Katherine from her tomb prison. Fortunately, Jeremy gave the old journal with written instructions (why would you write that down??) to his history teacher (and vampire hunter/hater) Alaric Saltzman (Matthew Davis.)

‘The Vampire Diaries’ Cast At Atlanta Mall Signing
Written by Violet on January 25, 2010 – 11:36 pm -Vampire love isn’t going anywhere anytime soon and by the looks of the crowd that turned out to the Hot Topic store, the human cast members of The Vampire Diaries were welcomed to the Town Center Mall in Kennesaw, Georgia. On hand: Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, Katerina Graham, Candice Accola, Zach Roerig, Sara Canning, Matt Davis, Michael Trevino, and Steven R. McQueen were signing autographs and answering fan questions on Saturday afternoon. From the Q&A:
When one fan asked her [Nina Dobrev] who was a better kisser between Stefan and Ian [Damon], she responded as any lady would, “I’m a girl who never kisses and tells.” The competition between Ian’s and Paul Wesley’s fans was almost as intense as Team Edward vs. Team Jacob, but the boys were able to joke about it. Paul said, “Well, Damon’s crazy, and Damon drives Stefan crazy.” To end the quarrel Nina told the crowd she would pick “Defan” (a mixture of Damon and Stefan) their “other” brother over the two vampires to date.
Some of the cast will be stopping at Hot Topic stores in California and New Jersey. Get the list here.

Top 10 Teen TV Shows Of 2009
Written by Violet on December 31, 2009 – 5:12 pm -The end of 2009 is here today so let’s take a look back at the best TV shows aimed at and about teenagers. Some are more realistic than others and some are just downright guilty pleasures, but here are the Top 10 of 2009.
10. Gossip Girl - CW
Based on the books by Cecily von Ziegesar, the series about spoiled NYC teens on the Upper East Side was launched in 2007 and has been a favorite ever since. While ratings have slipped this year, it is still talked about. The cast (Leighton Meester, Blake Lively, Chace Crawford, Taylor Momsen, Jessica Szohr, Ed Westwick, Penn Badgley) is super hot and garners lots of press. Hopefully the storylines will pick up and get it back on track.

9. Make It Or Break It - ABC Family
Chelsea Hobbs, Josie Loren, Ayla Kell and Cassie Scerbo are the gymnastic Olympic hopefuls at “The Rock” in Boulder Colorado, training for their shot at the big time. ABC Family’s hit show (scoring their second best premiere) gives athletic teen girls a chance to see and strive for something more than boys and clothes.

8. True Jackson, VP - Nickelodeon
Keke Palmer is terrific as the Vice President of a teen clothing line and her navigation in the world of business and all the normal drama that comes from being a teenager. Palmer is funny, charming and talented. Her costars Ashley Argota and Matt Shively play off her well and the premiere set lots of ratings records for the network.

‘The Vampire Diaries’ Candice Accola Talks ‘Good Love’ For Caroline
Written by Violet on December 8, 2009 – 6:41 am -Candice Accola’s Caroline has been having a rough time onscreen lately. The Vampire Diaries actress has had her character become a living blood bank to satisfy Damon Salvatore’s thirst. After freeing him from the dungeon, Damon (played perfectly by Ian Somerhalder) has thrown her aside alive, thankfully! Caroline is leaning on Matt (Zach Roerig) for support and maybe a little more. Accola weighs in on whether Caroline is ready for another boyfriend/romance/hook-up so quickly after her nightmare time with Damon:
“I don’t think Caroline needs a boyfriend, unless he’s going to be really good to her,” she told Hollywood Crush. “I think she’s got a lot on her plate between her friend’s a witch now [Bonnie played by Katerina Graham] … and getting over a relationship with her mother and her estranged father, who ran off with his lover. I think she’s got a full plate… but if it’s good love, that can never hurt.”
I loved the chemistry between Somerhalder and Accola so I hope there is more to come - a little revenge for Caroline would be super fun.
The Vampire Diaries are on hiatus until January 2010 *sigh*
And Happy Birthday to Ian Somerhalder!
