Despite rumors that their little bundle of joy was born last week, hip hop stars Beyonce Knowles and Jay Z officially confirmed that they welcomed daughter Blue Ivy into the world yesterday.

Sources saw Jay Z, along with Beyonce’s sister Solange and parents Tina and Matthew Knowles, walking the hospital halls Saturday morning sporting ”flowers with pink balloons and silver and black ribbons.”

The couple chose the name ”Ivy” because of the significance of the number “4″ or “IV,” for both singers – Beyonce and Jay-Z were born on September 4th and December 4th, respectively, were married on April 4th and Beyonce’s latest album is entitled 4.

Okay, but where the heck did they get “Blue”?

This is the first child for both artists and according to reports, “Baby and Mom are doing just fine.”

And if you can “beliebe” it, things just got more dramatic!

Apparently, Mariah Yeater, the woman who’s been harassing Justin Bieber about being the father of her three-month-old son, has a more sullied past than we thought!

The 20-year-old’s mother Michelle Yeater, was arrested back in November 2007 for battery with serious bodily injury, when she attacked a convenience store clerk and sent her to the hospital.

Ouch!

Yeater Sr. served two years in prison for the offense, before being released on probation.  I don’t know about you, but I think this may damage Ms. Yeater’s credibility just a tad.

Although, now that I take a better look – that baby does look like he has Bieber-ific lips.

After officially revealing that she and fiance Eric Johnson are expecting their first child together, pop star Jessica Simpson made another shocking announcement this week.

She’s postponing the wedding.

Dum dum dummmmmm.

However, according to a source, the postponment of their upcoming nuptials are not a sign that their romance has already run its course.

They’re both still really committed to getting married, and were both really into making decisions about what kind of wedding they wanted. It’s just going to be at a later date now [because] they really want to enjoy this time in their lives.

They’re really excited. It wasn’t something they planned per se, but it’s also not something they were trying to avoid. They’re both family-oriented and having a baby is something they both wanted.

Hey, sometimes life’s greatest gifts are things you didn’t plan!

Jessica Simpson released a statement today confirming that yes, she IS pregnant.

Simpson confirmed the news via her Twitter account earlier today, when she posted the above photo along with the text:

It’s true – I’m going to be a mummy!

How long you been sittin’ on that one, Jess?

No word yet on when the little bundle of joy will be gracing us with his or her presence, but mommy and fiance, Eric Johnson, better get their butts in gear if they’re going to keep up with Beyonce and Jay Z!

A source close to proud parents-to-be Beyonce and Jay Z, has revealed that the couple’s child, who is due in February 2012, is going… to be…

Beyonce is thrilled she’s having a daughter. She and her mother are so close, and she’s wanted to have that relationship with her own child.

This little gal is, without a doubt, going to be the sassiest little diva ever born – word has it that Miss B is already designing a 2,200 square foot nursery for her little bundle of joy.

They do know they’re giving birth to just one child and not a whole litter…right?

Pop diva Mariah Carey and her record producer husband Nick Cannon are finally letting the world get their first look at their adorable twins, Moroccan and Monroe.

The little bundles of joy were born back on April 30th, but Mariah and Nick chose to wait to reveal their little angels until the babes were healthy little six-month-olds.  Good call Mom and Dad!

After giving brith, Mariah sat down with Barbara Walters to discuss the difficulty of carrying twins.

I don’t think I understood the enormity and the magnitude of what it really does to your body … Carrying two babies.  Unless somebody’s been through it,  it’s difficult to understand what I went through, because my pregnancy was very unique in terms of what happened to me… I had serious back problems… I was afraid I wasn’t going to be able to walk properly again. It was a huge strain.

Now that all that’s behind her, Mariah’s looking better than ever – it must be that new mommy glow

Miley Cyrus’ parents, Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus, have just announced they are officially divorcing after 17 years of marriage. Billy Ray was the one to file for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for their separation.

The two released the following statement: “As you can imagine, this is a very difficult time for our family. We are trying to work through some personal matters. We appreciate your thoughts and prayers.”

Miley has not spoken about the divorce of her parents yet. The couple has five children, including Miley and the super cute Noah Cyrus.

Jaden Smith’s sister Willow Smith has finally released the much anticipated music video for her debut hit single “Whip My Hair” (watch music video below). Daddy Will Smith and mommy Jada Pinkett-Smith must be so proud!

The 9 year-old singer has so much talent and potential that she has already been compared to a young Michael Jackson. That is probably the biggest compliment for this young star, who recently signed a record deal with Jay Z’s Roc Nation.

Singer Willow Smith, sister of Karate Kid star Jaden Smith, released an official music video for her debut single “Whip My Hair”, which is already a major internet hit (see video above). The video is very simple and shows a collection of pictures of super cute Willow – it works as an introductory video for the promising new artist.

The 9 year-old has an incredible a unique style. She is a real fashionista. A music video starring Willow, lots of mini-dancers and special effects is expected in the future. Willow must also be an incredible dancer too because her daddy definitely knows how to bust a move. The apple can’t fall far from the tree.
