Disney Buys A Pilot Penned By Chris Colfer
Written by Violet on April 21, 2011 – 4:47 pm -Glee star Chris Colfer is adding one more notch to his resume.
The 20 year-old actor has written and sold a TV pilot to Disney based on the kids book The Little Leftover Witch, by Florence Laughlin. The storyline follows a young witch who takes a tumble off her broom and has to stay with the human Doon family for one year because witches can only fly on Halloween night.
Colfer has written (and sold) a screenplay before. Struck by Lightning, the indie movie he penned, will film after the Glee tour he’s about to embark on with the cast.
The talented Colfer has done all this before his 21st birthday (May 27th FYI.)
What’s up next Chris?

Chris Colfer At 2011 SAG Awards
Written by Violet on January 31, 2011 – 4:47 am -The 2011 SAG Awards were held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on Sunday January 30th and Chris Colfer attended the 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild ceremony.
The Glee star was nominated, along with the rest of the cast, for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series but lost out to Modern Family. No inspiring thank you speech this time.
Colfer gave a fabulous speech at the 2011 Golden Globes earlier this month when he won for Best Supporting Actor. In it Colfer spoke eloquently about bullying and dedicated the win to teens who face harassment for being who they are.
A couple more Colfer photos are below. Read more »

Written by Violet on November 30, 2010 – 5:26 pm -Glee is all new tonight and after last week’s emotional “Furt” when Kurt (Chris Colfer) left New Directions to join the zero tolerance to bullying Dalton Academy, the show choir heads off to sectionals. Good news! Blaine (Darren Criss) returns tonight as Kurt joined the Dalton Academy Warblers and the choirs sing it out at the competition.
What are the songs in tonight’s episode: “Special Education?”
- Blaine, Kurt and The Warblers sing “Hey Soul Sister” by Train.
- Sam (Chord Overstreet) and Quinn (Dianna Agron) duet on “I’ve Had The Time Of My Life” from Dirty Dancing.
- Santana (Naya Rivera) gets a solo in “Valerie” by The Zutons
- Kurt and Rachel (Lea Michele) diva-off with “Don’t Cry For Me Argentina”
- Florence & the Machine’s “Dog Days Are Over” is on the list for tonight
- Mike & the Mechanics 80s hit “The Living Years” is resurrected by a competing choir, The Hipsters.
Principal Figgins is back as Coach Sue (Jane Lynch) stepped down from the head chair and John Stamos popular Dr. Carl also returns as his relationship with Emma (Jayma Mays) moves along. I wish they’d get Sunshine (Charice) back!
What do you think? Will the McKinley High misfits take Sectionals?

‘Glee’ Cast Gets Mini-Me/Kid Versions For “The Substitute”
Written by Violet on November 12, 2010 – 9:01 pm -Tuesday’s episode of Glee promises to have some fantastic moments, but none quite as charming as witnessing the New Directions gang in Kid Form.
Not only will “The Substitute” have more fantastic Darren Criss; Gwyneth Paltrow guests and sings a sanitized version of Cee-Lo’s “F*** You” song (it has been changed to “Forget You”) – we will also see Mercedes (Amber Riley) Brittany (Heather Morris) Santana (Naya Rivera) Rachel (Lea Michele) Finn (Cory Monteith) Puck (Mark Salling) Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz) Sam (Chord Overstreet) Quinn (Dianna Agron) Kurt (Chris Colfer) Artie (Kevin McHale) and Mike (Harry Shum Jr.) all as children as Mr. Schuester (Matthew Morrison) is very ill and hallucinates the show choir team as adolescent versions of their current selves.
Check out the video below to see the kids interacting with the cast and crew and how they really have their alter egos onscreen personalities down. (Little Mercedes was so cute and wait till you see the little charmer that plays kid-Puck! A mighty mini mohawk and attitude. Awesome!)
Catch this episode on Fox, Tuesday November 16th at 8pm ET.

‘Glee’ 2.06 “Never Been Kissed” Preview & Songs
Written by Violet on November 4, 2010 – 11:30 pm -Glee returns Tuesday, November 9th with a brand new episode “Never Been Kissed.” This is the episode we finally meet Blaine (Darren Criss) the out and proud student of the Dalton Academy Warblers who becomes sort of a mentor to Kurt (Chris Colfer) and is Kurt’s possible love interest creator Ryan Murphy has been teasing us with all year long. Puck (Mark Salling) returns and becomes friends with Artie (Kevin McHale) as both want to get their girls back: Quinn (Dianna Agron) and Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz.) Charice also pops up again. Here is the official synopsis:
After Finn (Cory Monteith) and Sam (Chord Overstreet) find an unconventional way of controlling their urges, a few glee club members pick up on the strategy and start using it too. But when Coach Beiste (Dot Jones) gets wind of what they are up to, the glee club has some explaining to do.
A number of preview clips of the episode are below, including Criss’ version of Katy Perry’s Teenage Dream and a behind the scenes look at the Glee guys performing for Coach Beiste. Check it: Read more »

‘Glee’ Tribute To ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show’ Sneak Peek PHOTOS
Written by Violet on October 12, 2010 – 6:45 pm -Glee is getting into the Halloween spirit for the October 26th episode. A tribute to the cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show is the theme of the evening. Fox has released the first photos of the stars in costume and which Rocky original role they are reprising.
- Kurt (Chris Colfer) will be Riff Raff
- Finn (Cory Monteith) as Brad
- Sam (Chord Overstreet) as Rocky
- Quinn and Santana (Dianna Agron and Naya Rivera) will both be Magenta
- Dr. Carl (John Stamos) will play Eddie
- Rachel (Lea Michele) as Janet
- Mercedes (Amber Riley) will be Frank-N-Furter
This looks like it could be such a fun episode but I hope the theme shows are over after this one. It is such a better dynamic when the songs truly fit the character arc happening, instead of the writers attempting to shoehorn a story around an artist (the Britney Spears full length video episode for example.)
Check out the early peek at some of those characters in make-up below.
