Get ready to set your TiVos, because everyone’s favorite holiday hottie, Justin Bieber, will be performing on the 13th Annual “A Home for the Holidays with Martina McBride” special, airing tonight at 8pm EST on CBS.    Along with fellow artists, Mary J. Blige, OneRepublic, Christina Perri and Gavin DeGraw, Bieber’s performance will help raise money “to help increase the number of adoptions for those children waiting in the United States foster care system.”

Two and a Half Men star Denise Richards, who adopted her daughter Eloise earlier this year, will act as the evening’s MC, along with New Year’s Eve star, Katherine Heigl and her adopted sister sister Meg Heigl-Beltran.

The performance is sponsored in part by Wendy’s (Did somebody say Big Bacon Classic???) whose founder, Dave Thomas was adopted as a child and established the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption in 1992.

Bandmember Dave Haywood announced his engagement to longtime girlfriend Kelli Cashiola yesterday, just in time to ensure he’d have someone to kiss under the mistletoe at this year’s Capitol Records Christmas party.  According to sources, the 29-year-old musician surprised his bride-to-be by blindfolding her outside of her office and driving her to her Nashville home where “Will you marry me?” was spelled out in Christmas lights.

Awwwww!

But Haywood isn’t the only member of Lady A who will be saying “I do” in the near feature; bandmate Hilary Scott announced her engagement to the band’s drummer Chris Tyrell earlier this year.  Looks like there are going to be a whole lot of big, fat, country music weddings coming our way in 2012!

GossipTeen Pick:  I’m not overwhelmed by the rock category this year.  If I had to choose, which I do for the sake of this post, I’d go with Jeff Beck’s ”Rock ‘n’ Roll Party Honoring Les Paul”, just because he’s reDICULOUSLY talented – but truthfully, none of the nominees blew me away this go-around.

American Idol winner Scotty McCreey was a special guest at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade yesterday, but apparently, no one told his lips they were invited to the party…

The 18-year-old country artist became the object of ridicule, when he began lip syncing several seconds after his single, “The Trouble with Girls” began playing on the air.

Awwwwkward.

To his credit, the fairly green performer didn’t seem to miss a step and kept right on mouthing the words to his marginally successful first tune.

Yeah, yeah, yeah – I know it’s Tuesday, but better late than never, right?

Country duo Love and Theft is sending their new single Angel Eyes to radio this week and if you like cute boys with tight – harmonies – you best give it a listen.  The group, made up of Stephen Barker Liles (you know, the guy who used to be linked to Taylor Swift)  and Eric Gunderson recently signed a deal with Sony Music and is currently preparing to release their next album – a follow up to their first record, World Wide Open.

Love and Theft’s first single Runaway went Top 10 on the Billboard Country Music Chart, and with Angel Eye’s catchy melody and rich vocals they’re sure to have another Top 10 on their hands.

Country singer Taylor Swift debuted her precious bundle of joy Meredith, on her Facebook page earlier today and the little gal definitely warrants an “awwwww”.

Because nothing says “I’m single and in my 20′s” like getting yourself a feline friend.

Swift is up for several CMA’s this week, including the coveted “Entertainer of the Year” award.  Maybe she’ll pull a Paris Hilton and show up with Meredith peeking out of her purse!

Now that would be newsworthy.

Talk about the ultimate Daddy’s girl; country super star, Taylor Swift threw down 2.5 million smackers for a 5,601 square-foot Antebellum house for her parents, in her now-hometown of Nashville, TN.

Andrea and Scott Swift’s new casa features four spacious bedrooms, four-and-a-half bathrooms, a gorgeous formal dining room, multiple sitting areas, and a cement pond (that’s a swimming pool for those of you not versed in “southern speak”).

Talk about being out of your element!

Country artist Kellie Pickler is gearing up for her small screen debut (American Idol doesn’t count), guest starring on the October 18th episode of 90210.  According to reports, Pickler will play “Sally”, a country singer, and cousin to Austin (Justin Deely), who comes into town just in time to play her new single “Tough”, during a college talent show/fundraiser.

Man, she’s really gonna have to dig deep for this one.

Kellie joked with fans about preparing for her role via her official website.

Well my zip code growing up was a long way from 90210 so it will definitely be acting… I’m really excited and a little bit nervous about it but will be a fun and unique place to perform “Tough.”

Pickler’s single, “Tough” is currently #30 on the Country Music charts.

Billboard Magazine officially announced this week that country recording artist Taylor Swift will be receiving the “Woman of the Year” award at the 2011 Billboard Women in Music event on Dec. 2 in New York City.

Raise your hand if you’re surprised.

Swift, who’s sold more records than, well, anyone in the past year, is the youngest artist to ever receive this honor – and it makes sense:  At 21, she’s already won four Grammy Awards, gone quintuple platinum and been bum-rushed onstage by an angry hip-hop artist.  So yeah, she’s pretty advanced.

According to Bill Werde, Billboard’s Editorial Director,

Taylor has shown the power of good songwriting with music that has transcended genres, and we’re thrilled to recognize all of her successes over the past year by honoring her with the Billboard Woman of the Year Award… At the young age of 21, Taylor has already made a major impact on music and has been an incredible role model for aspiring singers/songwriters and young women everywhere.  I look forward to watching her career continue to flourish in the years to come.
