Gossip Girl star Jessica Szohr lands the Lucky April 2010 cover in a bright tangerine Ralph Lauren Black Label dress. Here are a few highlights from her interview:

On Old Hollywood glamour: “The 1950 film All About Eve shows classic Old Hollywood, when women put so much detail into getting ready.”

On her personal fashion evolution: “I’m learning more and more about clothes and designers from being a part of Gossip Girl and living in New York,” the 25-year-old said. “In fittings now, I’m like, ‘I love that Diane von Furstenberg skirt or this Rag & Bone jacket,’ whereas before, I wouldn’t have recognized the labels.”

On her shopping haunts: “At Confederacy in L.A., it’s hard to know where to begin: It has great coffee-table books, an incredible shoe collection, and a men’s section that I shop in for myself.”

Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick was named a Fun Fearless Male by Cosmopolitan Magazine for the February 2010 issue. Westwick, who will play Heathcliff in the big screen movie version of Wuthering Heights, attended Cosmo’s dude bash on Monday March 1st in New York City at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel to celebrate with other fun, fearless guys. Gossip Girl costume designer Eric Daman released his fashion guide You Know You Want It: Style - Inspiriation - Confidence on December 15, 2009. On Tuesday January 12, 2010 he gathered his GG guys and gals for a launch party celebrating the success of the book. Jessica Szohr, Leighton Meester, Ed Westwick, Blake Lively and Michelle Trachtenberg were among those who turned out.

It’s a wintertime Gossip Girl-palooza magazine round up. After Jessica Szohr’s Teen Vogue and 2Magazine covers, Taylor Momsen grabs the Seventeen headline; now Leighton Meester comes all vamped up for Austrailia’s Cleo Magazine. Talking about her shoe love, Meester says:

“I love Jimmy Choo and Louis Vuitton. I really like Sergio Rossi a lot, too. Plus I’m a fan of Moschino - there shoes are always so cute.”

Ok, now I happen to like Meester, Momsen and Szohr but how about a little guy time - Chace Crawford has been laying too low lately.

The end of 2009 is here today so let’s take a look back at the best TV shows aimed at and about teenagers. Some are more realistic than others and some are just downright guilty pleasures, but here are the Top 10 of 2009.

10. Gossip Girl - CW

Based on the books by Cecily von Ziegesar, the series about spoiled NYC teens on the Upper East Side was launched in 2007 and has been a favorite ever since. While ratings have slipped this year, it is still talked about. The cast (Leighton Meester, Blake Lively, Chace Crawford, Taylor Momsen, Jessica Szohr, Ed Westwick, Penn Badgley) is super hot and garners lots of press. Hopefully the storylines will pick up and get it back on track.

9. Make It Or Break It - ABC Family

Chelsea Hobbs, Josie Loren, Ayla Kell and Cassie Scerbo are the gymnastic Olympic hopefuls at “The Rock” in Boulder Colorado, training for their shot at the big time. ABC Family’s hit show (scoring their second best premiere) gives athletic teen girls a chance to see and strive for something more than boys and clothes.

8. True Jackson, VP - Nickelodeon

Keke Palmer is terrific as the Vice President of a teen clothing line and her navigation in the world of business and all the normal drama that comes from being a teenager. Palmer is funny, charming and talented. Her costars Ashley Argota and Matt Shively play off her well and the premiere set lots of ratings records for the network.

Actress Hilary Duff falls down and hits the pavement hard in New York City. Do not worry! She is okay! Hilary was just shooting a very embarrassing scene for the hit TV show Gossip Girl.

Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester has a debut album due out next year and the first official single “Somebody To Love” will premiere on radio October 27th. The album has production help from American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi as well as others and was originally due out this spring 2009 but has been pushed to winter/spring 2010. There is still no title as of yet to her debut and her previously leaked single “Body Control” may or may not end up on the final release. She’s great on Cobra Starship’s “Good Girls Gone Bad” single so let’s hope there is more like that in store.
