“The Vampire Diaries” Salvatore brother, Paul Wesley (Stefan Salvatore) and Ian Somerhalder (Damon Salvator) looked absolutely delish at the 27th Annual PaleyFest held at the Saban Theater in Los Angeles, California on Saturday (March 6).

The “brothers” and co-star Nina Dobrev were very gracious distributing a lot of charm and smiles for the cameras and the fans at the event. It was a unique opportunity to get to know them better (read more details here).

The cast, writers and producers of CW’s breakout hit show, The Vampire Diaries appeared Saturday night at the Paley Festival in Los Angeles. The annual event gives both press and fans a chance to interact with the stars and the creative forces behind their favorite shows. TVD stars Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley and Nina Dobrev were joined by writers and producers Kevin Williamson, Julie Plec and Bob Levy. Here’s what we’ve learned:

• The audience got to view the March 25th episode ‘A Few Good Men’ and (I won’t spoil it for you) but you will find out who Elena’s biological mom is.
• Williamson (who brought us TV’s Dawson’s Creek and the Scream movies) said he was initially worried when he began reading the books - that they were too Twilight-ish. At Plec’s urging, he kept reading and realized how different they were and hopped on board.
• Williamson loves loves loves cliffhangers and the season ending will have between 7 to 9 loose ends to keep viewers guessing!
• The fog has gone away (THANK YOU!) and no more actors changing to animals.

While waiting for The Vampire Diaries to return with new episodes (March 25th), producer Julie Plec is serving up a slice of Damon (Ian Somerhalder) & Elena (Nina Dobrev) heaven for fans who are Team Damon - from EW’s Ask Ausiello:

Question: I am dying here without Vampire Diaries! Please give us some scoop on the Damon-Elena relationship because I am loving it! —Ash
Ausiello: Then prepare to love this season’s final strong of episodes, which exec producer Julie Plec tells me will be heavily focused on the pair. “We’ll see Damon start to look at Elena as more than just his brother’s girlfriend or the doppelganger to the love of his life,” she reveals. “He’ll start to love and understand her as a human being, which is ironic because Damon could typically give a s–t about anything involving humanity. It’s some good stuff.”

The Vampire Diaries doesn’t return until March 25th with a new episode but until then, here are a couple of hints about what’s to come in the final few episodes of the season. E!Online’s Watch with Kristen has some dish (get the spoilers by clicking the link below.)

Mae in Atlanta: Please tell me some of the sexy Vampire Diaries stars are hooking up in real-life!
Not so, says Candice Accola (Caroline). “There’s so much heat going on onscreen—we’re all just a family,” Candice tells us with a laugh. “I wish there was some juice or some crazy things going down, but not really. We disgustingly all just get along, and no one’s dating.” So apparently all the drama is happening on the show? Hmph!

Freshman hit The Vampire Diaries got the official word - season two is a go! The breakout hit on the CW network will give us more Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley and all the vampire/human drama we can handle. (In case you were wondering, Gossip Girl, 90210, and Supernatural also got nods for another year of shows.)

Now if only the network will stop with the long breaks between new episodes. TVD returns March 25th.

The Vampire Diaries returns tonight with episode 14 ‘Fool Me Once’ and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) is not in the forgiving mood. Last weeks ‘Children Of The Damned’ saw Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) grave robbing the Salvatore brother’s father for answers and Anna (Malese Jow) finally got into the Gilbert’s house when Jeremy (Steven R McQueen) invited her in. Elena was kidnapped by Anna and Stefan needs Damon’s help - who isn’t having any of it since Stefan wasn’t going to share what he discovered in their father’s tomb.

The Vampire Diaries will go on a six week hiatus (again!) until March 25th when new episodes will run out the season in May.

A bitter cold weekend in the northeast did not stop fans from coming out to see the three principal stars of the hit CW show The Vampire Diaries. Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley stopped at the Hot Topic store at the Westfield Mall in Paramus, NJ last Saturday (January 30th.) Check lots more photos of the fun event below.

After watching The Vampire Diaries ‘Unpleasantville’ last night, I realized that Mystic Falls is the US headquarters of ‘Vampires-R-Us’ and there is some kind of super villain convention going on for the Free Katherine society - let’s make t-shirts! Here is a recap the fifties decade dance of death episode

Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) is getting stalked by Anna (Malese Jow) who also happens to be a vampire. Poor Jeremy. She only wants him for one thing: the Gilbert family diary which contains the answers to releasing Katherine from her tomb prison. Fortunately, Jeremy gave the old journal with written instructions (why would you write that down??) to his history teacher (and vampire hunter/hater) Alaric Saltzman (Matthew Davis.)
