Gossip Girl star Jessica Szohr lands the Lucky April 2010 cover in a bright tangerine Ralph Lauren Black Label dress. Here are a few highlights from her interview:

On Old Hollywood glamour: “The 1950 film All About Eve shows classic Old Hollywood, when women put so much detail into getting ready.”

On her personal fashion evolution: “I’m learning more and more about clothes and designers from being a part of Gossip Girl and living in New York,” the 25-year-old said. “In fittings now, I’m like, ‘I love that Diane von Furstenberg skirt or this Rag & Bone jacket,’ whereas before, I wouldn’t have recognized the labels.”

On her shopping haunts: “At Confederacy in L.A., it’s hard to know where to begin: It has great coffee-table books, an incredible shoe collection, and a men’s section that I shop in for myself.”

DirectTV held it’s Fourth Annual Celebrity Beach Bowl in Miami Florida on Saturday February 6th. Twilight dudes Taylor Lautner and Kellan Lutz were on hand to play football with Gossip Girls stars Chace Crawford, Ed Westwick and Jessica Szohr. Gossip Girl costume designer Eric Daman released his fashion guide You Know You Want It: Style - Inspiriation - Confidence on December 15, 2009. On Tuesday January 12, 2010 he gathered his GG guys and gals for a launch party celebrating the success of the book. Jessica Szohr, Leighton Meester, Ed Westwick, Blake Lively and Michelle Trachtenberg were among those who turned out.

Getting two winter magazine covers, Jessica Szohr lands front and center on 2Magazine as well as Teen Vogue. The Gossip Girl star says about her co-star and boyfriend, Ed Westwick:

The end of 2009 is here today so let’s take a look back at the best TV shows aimed at and about teenagers. Some are more realistic than others and some are just downright guilty pleasures, but here are the Top 10 of 2009.

10. Gossip Girl - CW

Based on the books by Cecily von Ziegesar, the series about spoiled NYC teens on the Upper East Side was launched in 2007 and has been a favorite ever since. While ratings have slipped this year, it is still talked about. The cast (Leighton Meester, Blake Lively, Chace Crawford, Taylor Momsen, Jessica Szohr, Ed Westwick, Penn Badgley) is super hot and garners lots of press. Hopefully the storylines will pick up and get it back on track.

9. Make It Or Break It - ABC Family

Chelsea Hobbs, Josie Loren, Ayla Kell and Cassie Scerbo are the gymnastic Olympic hopefuls at “The Rock” in Boulder Colorado, training for their shot at the big time. ABC Family’s hit show (scoring their second best premiere) gives athletic teen girls a chance to see and strive for something more than boys and clothes.

8. True Jackson, VP - Nickelodeon

Keke Palmer is terrific as the Vice President of a teen clothing line and her navigation in the world of business and all the normal drama that comes from being a teenager. Palmer is funny, charming and talented. Her costars Ashley Argota and Matt Shively play off her well and the premiere set lots of ratings records for the network.

Gossip Girl star Jessica Szohr is beautiful in BCBG blue for the February cover of Teen Vogue magazine. The actress gives us details about her personal style, how she landed her role on GG and her boyfriend Ed Westwick.

On becoming more than just friends with co-star, Ed Westwick: “It kind of just happened. We had fun together, and we were like, ‘All right, let’s see where this goes.’”

On how she landed her role on Gossip Girl: “Two of my friends in L.A. invited me to this Labor Day barbecue, but I really just wanted to stay on the couch with my French bulldog,” she says. They kept calling, though, so off she went. “I remember hanging out by the pool in an old T-shirt and jean shorts, just talking to people. Three days later, my manager calls to tell me that I’d been with the show’s executive producer and one of the creators and they want me to audition.” Less than a week after that, Jessica was on her way to New York. “Nuts,” she says.

The cover shoot was done by famed fashion photographer Patrick Demarchelier and the issue hits stands January 5th. Szohr will also costar in the April 2010 movie Piranha 3-D.

Up for an early morning call to the New York City set of the CW show ‘Gossip Girl,’ Hilary Duff arrived in a cute fedora ready to begin her day. The former ‘Lizzie MacGuire’ star is doing a short term role on the hit show as Jessica Szohr’s college roommate. The episodes begin airing October 4th.

Taylor Momsen had a sixteenth birthday party this week, at Maritime Hotel’s Hiro Ballroom in New York City and performed with her band, Pretty Reckless. Her ‘Gossip Girl’ co-stars, Jessica Szohr and Ed Westwick, were on hand helping her celebrate and squelched the rumors that they are no longer together.

Gossip Girl star Jessica Szohr is the new cover girl for the latest issue of Lucky Magazine (April 2009). The 23 year-old girl takes her tiny Lhasa Apso puppy named Watson everywhere, even to the famous TV show set.

Jessica says “Blake (Lively) and Leighton (Meester) usually bring their dogs to work, so there are animals everywhere.” Do they have dogsitter?? Or shoot the same scene like a million times because one of the dogs starts braking? That must be one fun set!
