Gossip Girl actress Jessica Szohr has landed on the cover of ASOS magazine for the November 2010 edition. She is striking on the front in the black and silver draped dress and slightly messy ‘do. The beautiful Szohr tells the fashion magazine about her own style, insisting she is far more comfortable dressed down than in the glamorous clothing of her GG character Vanessa:

“At heart, I’m still a simple jeans and T-shirt kind of girl,” Szohr admits, whose personal style mixes designer items with pieces picked up at vintage shops and small boutiques. When questioned about her favorite wardrobe on set Jessica confesses, “From the show, I’d choose Jenny Humphrey’s (Taylor Momsen) style. Its grungy, rock n’ roll, looks thrown together, doesn’t look super glam.”

Szohr has her hands full with a new movie. She will costar with Joseph Cross (from Running With Scissors and Milk) in Art Machine, a film about “a child-prodigy painter (Cross) on the verge of turning 18 who is suffering from bipolar disorder and needs to come up with an art show to end all art shows. When he meets a group of artist-anarchists, his world turns upside down. Szohr plays one of the outlaw hipsters, a pyrotechnic artist who is attracted to the prodigy, but as his manic madness grows, she becomes concerned for his safety.”

Gossip Girl is all new tonight (Monday October 4th) and episode 4 “A Touch Of Eva” has Nate trying to get Juliet to fess up to what she’s hiding. Here is the official synopsis:

NATE SUSPECTS JULIET IS KEEPING A SECRET — Nate (Chace Crawford) suspects that Juliet (guest star Katie Cassidy) is keeping a big secret from him and decides to confront her.  Blair (Leighton Meester) schemes to undermine Chuck’s (Ed Westwick) newfound happiness.  Dan (Penn Badgley) finds himself torn between his feelings for Serena (Blake Lively) and Vanessa (Jessica Szohr).   Kelly Rutherford and Matthew Settle also star.  Andrew McCarthy directed the episode written by Leila Gerstein.

Gossip Girl is all new Monday night (September 27th) and in episode 3, “The Undergraduate,” Blair starts at Columbia University.

BACK TO THE UPPER EAST SIDE! — On her first day at Columbia, Blair (Leighton Meester) attempts to gain membership into an ultra-exclusive social club, Hamilton House, but she’s in for a few big surprises.  Serena (Blake Lively) begins to suspect that Juliet (guest star Katie Cassidy) is intentionally sabotaging Serena’s life and that it may have something to do with Nate (Chace Crawford).  Rufus (Matthew Settle) is worried about Dan (Penn Badgley) and decides to take matters into his own hands.  Ed Westwick, Jessica Szohr and Kelly Rutherford also star.  Norman Buckley directed the episode written by Amanda Lasher.

Gossip Girl’s fourth season is under way and the second episode, “Double Identity” hits Monday September 20th. From the CW:

GOSSIP GIRL GOES PARIS! — Living out a real-life fairytale in Paris, Blair (Leighton Meester) is pursued by a handsome young man, Louis (guest star Hugo Becker), who she suspects is a member of Monaco’s royal family. A very concerned Lily (Kelly Rutherford) asks Serena (Blake Lively) to help her find Chuck (Ed Westwick), who hasn’t been heard from or seen in months.  Meanwhile, Chuck Bass is as we’ve never seen him before, adjusting to a fresh start in Paris with a mysterious new woman, Eva (guest star Clémence Poésy), at his side.  Juliet (guest star Katie Cassidy) offers to help Nate (Chace Crawford) win Serena (Blake Lively) back, suggesting that reigniting Dan (Penn Badgley) and Vanessa’s (Jessica Szohr) romance may just be the trick to remove Dan from the Dan-Serena-Nate love triangle. Matthew Settle also stars.  Mark Piznarski directed the episode written by executive producers Joshua Safran and Stephanie Savage.

Jessica Szohr wore a very tight Leger black dress to Mercedes Benz Fashion Week show of Herve Leger by Max Azria. The Gossip Girl star had the stamped leather and sheer paneled dress paired with chunky black heels and a messy pony tail to the runway show for the Spring 2011 collection.

Szohr has had a busy summer – covering Nylon magazine, press for Piranha 3D and filming the new season of GG. The actress gave Elle magazine a quick rundown of the rest of her summer:

How have you been spending your summer?
I have spent time at home with my family and had some nice, chill hangouts on my roof deck and friends’ roofs! I also tried to get some sun and relax. When summer starts for everyone else, I am back working so I tried to make the best of work and play.

Best memories?
I enjoyed a few concerts like the Strokes, The Black Keys and Lauren Hill and I loved trips with friends and family.

Professional projects you were involved in?
An indie called Hiroken! We filmed it outside of Los Angeles.

Any hobbies?
I’ve been taking Spanish lessons online just for fun with a friend!

What’s been inspiring you?
I just finished Eat, Pray, Love and I really enjoyed Animal Kingdom because the performances were so wonderful. I purchased an interesting piece of art called A Beautiful Look Away by Robert Pollard and I’m excited for Californication to start!

Most looking forward to this fall?
Sweaters, the leaves changing colors, and Thanksgiving. Also, I love nice fires with hot chocolate and tea!

Jessica Szohr graces the cover of the upcoming September TV Issue of Nylon magazine.

The Gossip Girl actress is back at work on season 4 of the popular CW show with her character Vanessa, returning from Haiti to sort out her Dan (played by Penn Badgley) dilemma.

Szohr is currently promoting her movie Piranha 3D, which she costars with Steven R McQueen.

I must admit, I’m not a fan of this cover. Jessica is almost snarling and pants-less. Let’s hope there are great pics from her photo shoot and a behind the scenes video next week!

The summer horror flick that is getting all the buzz right now, Piranha 3D, had it’s red carpet premiere at Mann’s Chinese 6 Theater in Los Angeles this week. Steven R McQueen and Jessica Szohr costar in the film directed by Alexandre Aja (The Hills Have Eyes) and were on hand Wednesday night for the Hollywood showing. Szohr is happy about the movie but has mixed feelings about all the gory details in 3D:

“With the 3D on top of all the blood and boobs, I’m nervous to see it because I think, how much more can you add to all this craziness? But I think it will be amazing,” she said. “We had so much fun working on it and people will have so much fun watching it.”

The film is apparently very bloody and over-the-top in it’s gore factor but unlike Aja’s other darker films, this one has a sense of humor to it (costar Jerry O’Connell has an already infamous scene where his private parts float by – in 3D – on screen!)

Piranha opens Friday August 20th (today!) Who’s going to see it?

The Breakthrough of the Year Awards Presented by Crest 3D White were held Sunday night, August 15th in Los Angeles at the Pacific Design Center. Josh Hutcherson won Breakthrough Actor in Film for his performance in The Kids are All Right. The 17 year-old is receiving lots of attention for this role.

Jessica Szohr attended the New York City premiere of The Tillman Story and kept her red carpet attire very simple and summer chic. The little black dress and black pumps were paired with a denim vest to take the look from overdone to easy-going and she looked marvelous.

Jessica will probably wear something a little less casual when she heads to the opening of her film Pirahna 3-D next week. (Be on the lookout for her co-star in that movie, Steven R. McQueen of The Vampire Diaries - I’m dying to know – is he or isn’t he a vampire now?)

Gossip Girl star Jessica Szohr was a presenter at the MuchMusic Video Awards in Toronto Sunday night, June 20th. The actress wore a beautifully beaded, sunset fiery orange dress to the event and looked stunning.

Szohr has been tapped to star in a new romantic comedy Love, Wedding, Marriage that will pair her with Kellan Lutz and Mandy Moore.
