Jordin Sparks hit the catwalk at Bryant Park in New York City on Friday February 12th, to model a red dress as part of “The Heart Truth’s” collection. The designer dresses are used as a symbol to inspire women to take preventative measures on heart disease, the number one killer of women.

Sparks looked amazing and radiant and was among a superstar studded runway including Heidi Klum, Kim Kardashian and Kristen Chenowith.

Jordin Sparks looked absolutely radiant at the 2010 Lemon Ball for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. Sponsored by candy company Mike & Ike, the benefit was held in Philadelphia, PA to raise research money for childhood cancers.

Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation was named in honor of Alexandra Scott who opened a refreshment stand every year while fighting neuroblastoma and gave the money to pediatric research. Alex lost her battle with cancer in 2004 but her family continues on in her name. This year, the Lemon Ball raised over $600,000.

American Idol alum Jordin Sparks was in Washington DC on December 3rd for the 2009 National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony with President Obama and the First Family: Michelle and their daughters Malia and Sasha. Sparks sang “I’ll Be Home For Christmas” and tweeted about her experience:

“Obamas were so sweet! I met Michelle & the girls @ the Jonas concert this year! First time meeting the Prez though. Hes tall!! And so nice!”

American Idol winner Jordin Sparks was a guest on BBC Radio 1 show ‘Live Lounge’ in the UK a few days ago and did this amazing version of Katy Perry’s ‘Hot N Cold.’ Her voice was strong and pure and it was evident why she was the season 6 champion.

Jordin Sparks takes being a role model seriously. The American Idol season 6 winner has recently posed for the ‘Drink Milk for a Change’ campaign, focusing on getting teens to make better choices for a healthy alternative to soda. Next up: the singer is part of “America’s Biggest Sleepover” project from BeingGirl.com to foster self-esteem in adolescent and teen girls all over the country.

Tell us about your decision to do Being Girl.

They asked me about it a while ago and I needed to see what was all about first. I saw BeingGirl, logged on, and thought, “This is so cool.” It’s an internet community for girls, by girls. The thing is a girl can log on from New York and talk to someone in Seattle about her issues- boy problems, puberty, whatever she is going through. Sometimes your friends aren’t always there when you need them. I just thought it was the greatest thing. I saw “Sleepover” and I love sleepovers - I was really excited to be a part of that as well. For every girl that registers $1 is being donated to the foundation called Protecting Futures. It’s a foundation that’s all about keeping girls in school. They hit me with a 1-2-3 punch.

Sparks truly takes it to heart her responsibility to all the girls who look up to her.

American Idol season six champion Jordin Sparks is part of the BodyByMilk campaign to get teens to make healthier choices when choosing something to drink. VH1’s Save The Music Foundation and the Battlefield singer want you to send in photos of yourself with a milk mustache and help make a difference for public school music programs.

“I know that I am in charge of what I eat and drink and my choices affect how I look and feel,” Jordin said in a statement. “I skip the sugary beverages and reach for milk instead. Milk is full of important nutrients and is something I feel good about putting into my body. I encourage all teens to help make a difference in the world and Drink Milk for a Change.”

Take a photo of yourself with your milk mustache, post it to BodyByMilk.com and for every picture, $1.00 will be donated to VH1’s Save The Music program.

American Idol season six winner and ‘Battlefield’ singer Jordin Sparks has been announced as the opening act for the 2nd half of Britney Spears North American Circus Tour.

“Britney’s show is incredible and for me to be a part of it is a great opportunity,” Sparks said in a statement.

‘Love, Sex and Magic’ singer Ciara had toured with Spears in the UK and was thought to be the opening act for the rest of the US dates, but she is no longer mentioned. Kristina DeBarge will also appear on all dates as well as Girlicious for some special shows.

For her part in ‘The Secret Life of Bees’ actress Dakota Fanning was present tonight at the People’s Choice Awards in Los Angeles. American Idol alum and singer Jordin Sparks was also at the festivities. Both were dressed in a very similar blue cocktail type dress. Both teens looked great however similiar they ended up dressing.

Jordin Sparks (18) is the youngest-ever winner of American Idol, she scored a Top 10 hit this year (for her duet with Chris Brown, “No Air”) and performed for millions when she sang “The Star-Spangled Banner” at the Super Bowl. And she’s not afraid to take a stand: At the MTV Video Music Awards in September, the former plus-size model spoke out against British comedian Russell Brand’s jokes about purity rings.
