Never one to disappoint, Glee star Lea Michele turned up on the red carpet for The 69th Annual Golden Globes in a metallic, semi-sheer, floor-legnth gown by Marchesa.

The 25-year-old starlet looked poised and polished in this fishtailed gown, but for some reason I just can’t get passed her incessant need to pose like a freaking runway model any time a flash bulb goes off.

Are people still using flashbulbs?  Is it still 1953?

ANYwho, Lea, you’re a gorgeous girl – what’s with all the weird forward leans and unnatural head swivels?

This isn’t an exorcism – it’s a red carpet.

Glee star Lea Michele snapped more than a few necks walking the “red” carpet at the Fox 2012 All Stars Winter Party last night, where she sported a bright blue Peter Som dress and fantastic Casadei metallic chain covered sandals.

Um, I’m sorry, but one girl should not be allowed to have all that leg.

During the gala, the 25-year-old actress, who was rumored to be in her final season of the show that took her from Broadway star to full-on A-Lister, gushed over her excitement about returning to the hit program next year.

I’m so happy to finally be here and get to say, ‘Yes, we’re coming back.’… We just couldn’t tell everybody exactly what was happening. It was the beginning of the season three and to start to talk about season four I think was unfair… Now it’s midseason and it’s definitely the right time to say yes, Rachel will be back next year, as will some of her other friends.

Cue the celebratory dance number!!!

In a world consumed by “who’s wearing who?” and the latest color of Snooki’s poof, it’s refreshing to see a few A-listers who are more concerned with giving back then getting more.

While many celebrities have charities with which they are affiliated, according to the socially conscience website DoSomething.org, 20 such celebs stood out among the others as the Top 20 Most Charitable Stars of 2011.

Most of the names won’t surprise you, considering the amount of high-profile press these do-gooders catch for their charitable giving, but it’s always nice to give credit where credit is due.

There are some interesting trends from this year’s list.  It’s dominated by young celebrities and we also see so many couples.  Last year the list had its first power couple, Ashton and Demi, and this year there are a total of four couples.  Doing good is definitely fun in groups.

Maybe we can all take a play from these young celebs’ playbook and be better versions of ourselves in 2012.  So grab a friend, or two, or ten and get out there and DO SOMETHING!!!

Oh Lea Sarfati, we hardly knew ye.

On an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Glee sensation Lea Michele opened up about why she changed her name from Lea Sarfati long before she rose to stardom on the hit FOX TV show.

The 25-year-old actress says that kids in her elementary school came up with all kinds of mean nicknames for her (Lea So Fatty, Lea So Farty – you get the gist…) because of her last name, and as a result of the tormenting, she changed her name to Lea Michele at her very first audition and the name stuck!

Two and Half Men star Ashton Kutcher was caught getting down and flirty with Glee sensation Lea Michele on the red carpet for the premiere of their new movie New Years Eve (or as I like to call it, Valentine’s Day: Part II).

Kutcher, 33, who recently split from wife Demi Moore 49, certainly didn’t look to be grieving the end of his six-year marriage as he cozied up with Michele and flaunted their obvious chemistry front of cameras Monday night.  Maybe he’s ready to get back into the dating game with someone a little closer to his own age – Michele’s is 25.

For her part, Michele looked stunning in a nude, low-cut halter gown and Neil Lane accessories and Christian Louboutin sandals.  Can’t hate a girl for flaunting what she’s got!

The cast and crew of FOX’s hit series Glee, celebrated their 300th musical number yesterday and began preparing themselves for the show’s season premiere new week – and rumor has it that breakout stars Lea Michele, Chris Colfer and Cory Monteith are going to get a run for their money.  Apparently, “background players” Naya Rivera, Amber Riley and Heather Morris are going to be taking center stage this season.

It’s a battle of the brunettes!

Glee star Lea Michele had her ego bruised at this year’s Emmy Awards, and not just because she didn’t take home a little golden Emmy-thingy.

Shortly after the awards, Modern Family’s Sarah Hyland appeared on E!’s Fashion Police and took and dealt a couple of low blows to the 25-year-old songstress’ Red Carpet routine,

So it’s like a slow-motion picture kinda thing. It’s just like, she puts her hands on her hips like this and sticks out her collarbone—I don’t know if you can see—she sticks out her collarbone to make her look skinnier and she goes [pouts lips] sticks out her lips… It’s very strange, it’s very strange. I actually saw a clip of her doing that on the red carpet and you see me in the background, like with my back turned looking at my publicist, being like ‘I don’t know what to do right now.’ Like this is very awkward for me, I’ve never seen anything like this before in my life.

Ouch!  Buuuuut to be fair, she’s got a point.  However, Ms. Michele didn’t quite see the humor in Sarah’s schtick and told US Weekly that,

I gotta be honest. It hurt my feelings a little bit… I really think the message of today is that women should motivate and empower women, and so that’s why I’m honored to be a part of today.

Hyland later apologized about the remarks via Twitter,

I did not intend for my comments to be taken in a malicious way… But I did hate [her] dress. Called her ass great. Did you all hear that one?

Congrats Lea. You know how to work the red carpet. I can’t take it as seriously as you… I can’t take myself that seriously. I don’t like the red carpet. I feel silly. So props to her for knowing what she’s doing and enjoying it.

Okay, I guess that’s sort of an apology…

Even though her joke was a little mean-spirited, I’m on Team Sarah – the world would be a better place if we all learned how to laugh at ourselves!

Glee super star Lea Michele made quite an impression on the red carpet in a stunning, gorgeous backless red gown by Marchesa of the 2011 Emmy Awards held at the Nokia Theatre LA Live in Los Angeles, California on Sunday (September 18) – more pictures below.

Lea tweeted, “On my way the the #Emmys!!! Beyond excited!!!! Wearing tonight a gorgeous red dress by Marchesa and jewels by Lorraine Schwartz.” Later, she added, “What a beautiful night…So happy for everyone who won tonight:) And now I turn into pumpkin and must go to sleep.. Love you all! Xo”

The 25 year-old actress was one of the best dressed at the Emmys. Lea brought sexy back and owned the red carpet with her charming presence. Apologies to the other beautiful Glee girls, but Lea had the best red carpet fashion pick in Glee history. It was epic!

Strike a pose!

The cast of Glee is on board with Vogue magazine and the Council of Fashion Designers of America to promote the annual Fashion’s Night Out event.

The PSA features Lea Michele and the cast taking on David Bowie‘s classic song “Fashion” and the entire video will debut on August 23rd on Vogue’s website.

Dianna Agron, Cory Monteith, Chris Colfer, Darren Criss, Jenna Ushkowitz and almost all the cast were involved – notably absent was Naya Rivera and Amber Riley.

FNO will take place on September 8th at participating in over 250 cities world wide with special extended hours, promotions and deals. Leading retailers including Lord & Taylor, Neiman Marcus, Macy’s and Nordstroms are among the businesses taking part.

The September issue of Harper’s Bazaar has the fantastic Lea Michele on the cover in a white Yves Saint Laurent jumpsuit with gold chain running down the back. It’s not a terrific cover, to be honest, but the photo shoot inside is definitely the highlight.

The Glee actress poses for photographer Mark Seliger among the floral hedges and lush green setting wearing Lanvin, Dior, Moschino, Giambattista Valli and Gucci gorgeous-ness.

Lea, 25, shared how often she was told she wasn’t pretty enough and should have cosmetic surgery in order to have a successful Hollywood career.

“How many managers told me, ‘Get a nose job. You’re not pretty enough’? But I proved them wrong,” Michele said.

The actress also fessed up to her love of a certain Glee guest star.

“I am obsessed with Gwyneth Paltrow. I was nervous and said, ‘I don’t think I can do that dance move.’ She said, ‘You can do it.’ She wasn’t afraid of anything. I love talking with Gwyneth. She just gives good advice. She said, ‘Don’t ever read anything about you’.”
