Beautiful Shay Mitchell got the nod as the spokesperson for Pantene Nature Fusion Basics line earlier this month. Raven-haired Mitchell is going to be featured in upcoming print and media ads starting in February.

The Pretty Little Liars actress sat down with StyleList to talk beauty tips and Christian Louboutin shoes:

Shay’s Best Hair Tip: “Well I would say the one that I like to do is add moisture. For a shampoo and conditioner, I would suggest Nature Fusion Pantene Moisture Balance. That’s honestly the shampoo and conditioner that I use because my hair gets so dried out from being on set. So something that puts the moisture back in it.”

Shay’s Louboutin Splurges: “It’s something that I’ve always wanted and to be able to buy it for myself — I’m very big on that. You can get a lot of gifts, but when you purchase something with your hard-earned money, it’s a whole different story. You appreciate it that much more. Getting to go into the store and say, “OK, today’s the day!” The woman looked at me like I was crazy because I was like, “Take a photo!” We work really, really hard and I’m not going crazy at all but sometimes you have to enjoy life. I’m all about living like it’s your last day.”

The actress also confessed to her cheap beauty find (CoverGirl Lash Blast Mascara) and said that she is so “happy” her PLL character Emily came out of the closet to her father. Check out the rest of the interview here.

The 22nd Annual GLAAD Media Awards nominees are out today with two shows about teens receiving a nod.

The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation recognizes movies, TV and other media for their accurate representation of the LBGT community with TV shows Glee and Pretty Little Liars earning respect.

Glee is up for Outstanding Comdey Series against Modern Family, United States of Tara, Greek and Nurse Jackie.

Pretty Little Liars is going head to head with shows Brothers & Sisters, Grey’s Anatomy and True Blood for Oustanding Drama Series.

Other teen notables up for awards: Josh Hutcherson & Mia Wasikoska’s movie The Kids Are All Right and Emma Stone’s Easy A for Outstanding Film, Wide Release.

Winners will be announced March 19th in New York City.

Lucy Hale and Shay Mitchell represented Pretty Little Liars for the 2011 Disney ABC Television Group’s TCA Winter Press Tour in Pasedena, California on Monday January 10th.

At the press conference for the show, it was announced that PLL has been renewed for a second season on ABC Family. Mitchell also spoke to the press about how honored she is to represent gay teens in a positive light, now that her character Emily has come out to her parents in the premiere episode. Mitchell said:

“If I can represent the gay community in a small way then I’m so honored and I couldn’t be more proud to do that.” She also says she has received an incredible response from fans, boys and girls, all over the world thanks to Twitter saying Emily coming out to her parents in the premiere has inspired them.

Pretty Little Liars stars Lucy Hale and Ashley Benson lit up the red carpet at the 2011 People’s Choice Awards. The event was held at the Nokia Theater Live in Los Angeles on Wednesday night, January 5th.

Hale, who wore a deep v-front goldeny orange dress, is also this month’s cover girl for Teen Vogue - also wearing the citrusy shade. She looks great in it!

ABC Family’s Winter Wonderland event held in New York City brought out the cast of Pretty Little Liars. Lucy Hale, Shay Mitchell, Ashley Benson and Troian Bellisario were bundled up in their stylish coats (love Lucy’s bright blue with faux fur trim) to hit the Rockefeller ice skating rink and the Rock Center Cafe on Sunday (December 5th) afternoon.

PLL is set to return with episode 11 “Moments Later” on January 3rd, 2011.

Pretty Little Liars is ready to come back with more spooky surprises and more juicy mysteries with the winter premiere of episode 1.11 “Moments Later.”

Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer and those around them, must deal with the aftermath of what happened in Rosewood, PA one mysterious night, in “Moments Later,”.

Moments after Hanna is hit by a car, the girls’ world is turned upside down. “A” is no longer content to playing a game of cat and mouse – it has taken a far more precarious turn and now more than ever the four Pretty Little Liars have to turn to each other for support. With Hanna in the hospital and armed with the information of who “A” is, the girls are backtracking to figure out how they got to this point. How could this person know everything and want to use it against them?

Meanwhile, each girl has to also deal with a secret that is either found out, confessed or confronted – proving that secrets are still abound in Rosewood, PA.

Lucy Hale, Ashley Benson, Troian Avery Bellisario and Shay Mitchell bring it all back to ABC Family on Monday, January 3rd at 8PM.

Who is ‘A’ is still a mystery but we are (finally!) getting close to the second season premiere of Pretty Little Liars and when we learn more about the elusive and devilish ‘A.’  PLL returns on January 3rd, 2011 with new twists and a few new characters (including a guest appearance by Lindsey Shaw!)

For now, ABC Family television has released new promotional photos of the cast and the individual girls: Lucy Hale as Aria, Troian Avery Bellisario as Spencer, Ashley Benson as Hanna and Shay Mitchell as Emily.

Pretty Little Liars returns on January 3rd and there are a number of new characters added to the cast, including my personal favorite: Lindsey Shaw. Shaw, formerly of 10 Things I Hate About You and Ned’s Declassified is terrific and I look forward to her (as of now) 2 episode arc that begins in February. Shaw’s character Paige will go head to head to with Emily (Mitchell) as her rival for swim team glory.

“Pretty Little Liars” star Lucy Hale, who plays Aria Montgomery on the show, reveals some of her best kept secrets and some fun facts you might not know about her. The 21 year-old admits she as an e-mail buddy from the Black Eyed Peas, confesses she is a bad driver and claims to be currently single and enjoying this stage of her life.

Lucy also revealed that she auditioned twice for a role in “The Twilight Saga” and was reject twice. GASP. The first time she auditioned for Alice’s role, which was given to Ashley Greene, and the second time for Jane, who is marvelously played by Dakota Fanning.

Alison is back – maybe? Wait – what? Dream? And as a Candy Striper?

Sasha Pieterse is back as Alison and she is hovering over Hannah (Ashley Benson) in the hospital. ABC Family released the photo as a teaser to remind us all – Pretty Little Liars isn’t going anywhere. The series will start up again in January with episode 11 “Moments Later.” Perhaps we will get an answer or two. If they do give us answers, you can bet there will be twice as many questions – and that’s what I love! I’m hooked.

January is so far away…
