Robert Pattinson is making the press rounds to promote his film with Emilie de Ravin, Remember Me. The actor gave Parade magazine a view into his thoughts on asking a girl out on a date, James Dean comparisons and meaningless celebrity. Here is an excerpt:

Dating good, asking girls out, not so good: “When it comes to the opposite sex, I’m not as fully confident as the guy I play. I don’t even remember the last time I asked someone out on a date, like, just went up to them and that’s the first thing I did. I’m much more self-conscious and not wanting to fail. So I tend to hold back.”

The James Dean influence, also good: “I think he was like the most influential person for young guys, especially actors, in the last 50 years. So yeah, I mean, I’m not ashamed to say I am very much influenced by him.”

Finding balance with work and privacy: “You keep trying to make your name stand for something other than just like meaningless celebrity. It’s a difficult battle, but I think people like Johnny Depp have done that. He’s not judged by his public image, it’s just his acting that counts. To get to that place takes a lot of discipline and a lot of hiding.”

Robert Pattinson and Emilie de Ravin’s movie Remember Me dropped off the radar for just a moment thanks to the Academy Awards but now that those pesky Oscars are out of the way, everyone can get back to what they were doing before: speculating on Rob’s post Twilight career. Here is a short interview from MTV where the costars talk about running away (Emilie when she was 4) and Rob bringing a girl home to the family (yes, he has.) In case you’ve forgotten, the movie opens March 12th.

Robert Pattinson and Pierce Brosnan sat down for MySpace’s Artist on Artist series and had a lovely chat about their upcoming movie Remember Me. Brosnan was very complimentary to Rob’s performance in the movie, which opens Friday March 12th.

Jimmy Fallon has been having lots of fun with Robert Pattinson and the tree climbing scene of the first Twilight movie in his ‘Robert Is Bothered’ skits. Pattinson made a stop on Fallon’s show last night and got in on the joke as Fallon coaxed him to say he too, was bothered. What did you think of the skit?

Kristen Stewart showed her support for Robert Pattinson and his latest film Remember Me. The premiere event took place Monday March 1st at the Paris Theater in New York City. While the Twilight costars were not photographed together on the red carpet, the duo are in town together and have been seen out with friends all around the city.

FINALLY!!! Actor Robert Pattinson confirmed that he and his Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart have been dating for months but have been trying to keep their relationship low-key because of their crazy lunatic fans. Kristen and Robert wanted to make their first appearance as a couple at the 2010 BAFTAs but for security reasons it was impossible.

Robert reportedly told The Sun, “It is extremely difficult but we are together, yes.

“We can’t arrive at the same time because of the fans. It goes crazy. This was supposed to be a public appearance as a couple but it’s impossible. We are here together and it’s a public event but it’s not easy.

“We have to do all this stuff to avoid attention.”

The lovebirds were spotted leaving the awards’ ceremony together. Kristen won the Orange Rising Star BAFTA for her incredible past couple of years and Robert was cheering for her in the audience (watch Kristen’s acceptance speech here).

Twilight heartthrob Robert Pattinson hit the red carpet in a very slick Gucci black tuxedo at the 2010 BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) Awards held at the Royal Opera House in London, England on Sunday (February 21).

We love Rob! BUT what happened to his hair? It just doesn’t look good on him and it’s kind of greasy… it’s a no, no! Sorry, Rob!! What do you girls think of Robert’s new hairdon’t hairdo? HOT or NOT?
