‘Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows’ Extended Trailer
Written by Violet on January 15, 2010 – 12:51 am -
November 2010 - the beginning of the end of the Harry Potter movie phenomenon. That is the release for part 1 of Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows. This extended trailer is less about the actual 7th installment itself and more about the characters journey to this point. It makes me very nostalgic for the final two movies. It’s quite an amazing cinematic time capsule of Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint as they age with their roles. What do you think? Are you ready for the last films?

Written by Violet on December 30, 2009 – 7:35 pm -
Harry Potter costars Emma Watson and Rupert Grint are having a laugh over Rupert’s late reading of the HP books. This mini interview was filmed on the forest set of The Deathly Hallows and is included (and many more extras) when purchasing the Ultimate Edition DVD/Blu-ray of The Chamber of Secrets.
Watson is back in the UK after her first term here in the States as a freshman at Brown University in Rhode Island.

Rupert Grint’s Movie ‘Cherrybomb’ Will Get Released
Written by Violet on October 4, 2009 – 7:18 pm -Rupert Grint’s movie Cherrybomb was having a hard time finding distribution so a grassroots internet campaign was set up to get the movie into theaters. GossipTeen gave you the link here a few days ago to be a part of the online community support. Now with everyone who’s signed the petition, the film will find it’s way to movie houses in the UK. There is a deal in the works still for the United States but all things Rupert are looking up.
Grint said that he was delighted by the fighting spirit of his fans. “I am backing this campaign wholeheartedly,” he said. “I’m delighted by the huge support the film has already received on the official Facebook page and other sites on the web and am so grateful to my fans in particular, who have travelled the world to support the film at festivals and preview screenings.”
Rupet’s fansite IceCreamMan was instrumental in seeing his film get the attention it deserves.

Written by Violet on September 30, 2009 – 2:12 pm -Rupert Grint’s film Cherrybomb is having a hard time finding distribution and a petition has been started to get the movie released into theaters. While the flick has been shown to some movie festival audiences and won praise, it is still languishing without a company willing to finance it’s theatrical distribution. The petition has approximately 10,000 signatures with over 4,800 coming from the United States.
From the Cherrybomb American Distribution Petition:
To: Distributers To American Film Distributors
We, the undersigned, urge you to distribute the film Cherrybomb in the United States. We present you with signatures from people all over the country who want this film in their local theaters. We come together as fans of Rupert Grint, of independent cinema and, most of all, of Cherrybomb.
Rupert Grint, star of the Harry Potter films, plays the lead role in Cherrybomb. However, it is not solely Harry Potter fans who are interested in this film. Many websites that publish features on Cherrybomb are saturated with comments from movie-goers who are eager to see the film. The trailer has captured the attention of both teenagers as well as adults. Critics are noticing that Rupert Grint completely shakes off his trademark Ron Weasley persona from the Harry Potter movies. Industry professionals are hailing the great performances by the leading actors, as well as the skillful and impressive direction of the film.Cherrybomb’s focus is a quest for a new identity, seen through the eyes of a rampant teenage culture. The film is visually beautiful and fast paced, with an award-nominated soundtrack, offering a complete cinematic experience. Distributors like yourself should not be surprised to learn that audiences in America are hungry to see Cherrybomb in their local theaters and movie houses. Rupert Grint Flags On Race Car Drivers
Written by Violet on August 16, 2009 – 9:56 pm -Harry Potter star Rupert Grint gave the starting flag a wave for the race car drivers at RAF Marham and the Richard Burns Memorial Rally in Norfolk England. He was there with his family to support one of the drivers in particular, his younger brother James, as well as be the official starter for the rally.
On his brother’s turn at the wheel: “It’s quite a new thing for him. He is just getting started, but he has got a natural ability. I wouldn’t have a go. The cars go really fast so it’s not something I am brave enough to do. I trust his ability though. So far he hasn’t had any accidents.”
Sounds like a nice weekend for Rupert and his family.

Rupert Grint’s Charitable Birthday Wish
Written by Violet on July 31, 2009 – 7:31 pm -As his 21st birthday approaches, (August 24th,) Rupert Grint fans wanted to do something special to commemorate his day. His UK-based fan site RupertGrint.org got together with him and his family to chose a charity to support, the one to sponsor in his honor: Teenage Cancer Trust.
Every day in the UK, up to 6 teenagers or young adults (between the ages of 13 and 24) will find out they have cancer that is approximately 2,100 new cases a year. These young people, in the midst of their already difficult journey to adulthood, suddenly find themselves faced with a possible life-threatening illness and very often receiving treatment in inappropriate facilities with inadequate support options. Teenage Cancer Trust grew by chance, out of the eagerness of a group of women to organise a fashion show to fund a children’s intensive care heart unit at Guy’s Hospital, London. The fashion show was a resounding success and the women, high on the adrenalin of triumph, were ready to take on the world. Little did they know - they had!… The women went on to raise funds to build the very first TCT unit at the Middlesex Hospital in London in 1990.”
Go to the Just Giving Page to give directly or find out about setting up a fundraiser, bake sale, walk or any other creative way to help out a great cause.
Donate what you can, either money or time to help out this cause and give Rupert a great 21st birthday present.

Harry Potter Premiere In London Photos
Written by Gossip Gal on July 8, 2009 – 6:09 pm -Harry Potter stars Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, who is still recovering from swine flu, got completely soaked wet at the world premiere of “Harry Potter & the Half-Blood Prince” in London on Tuesday.
Emma’s dress is absolutely adorable but it betrayed her, exposing her skin-toned underwear (Emma’s wardrobe malfunction photos). Poor Rupert really looks a bit sick. I’m sure the pouring rain didn’t help either.

Rupert Grint Felled By Swine Flu
Written by Violet on July 4, 2009 – 5:57 pm -
Getting hit with a mild case of swine flu, Harry Potter actor Rupert Grint has had to postpone working on the latest film while he recovers. Scenes for the seventh and final chapter of the JK Rowling book, The Deathly Hallows, that did not involve Grint’s Ron Weasley character were shot so the movie was not interrupted. The actor is no longer contagious and will appear for the press tour and premieres as the sixth film - Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - is opening world wide in the coming weeks.

Rupert Grint Ponders His Future Past Harry Potter
Written by Violet on June 28, 2009 – 2:17 pm -
It is difficult for any child actor to make the transition to adult actor and to be taken seriously in a role other than the one that made them famous. Add to that, the cultural impression a series of movies as large as ‘Harry Potter’ has had on us all and it’s a formidable task to undertake. That is the crossroads where Rupert Grint finds himself career-wise, as the HP series begins to film the final installment.
“It’s always at the back of my mind that acting might come to an end for me when Harry Potter finishes. I don’t know if I’m good enough to have a long career. I’ve got a bit of an inferiority complex about my acting. My self-esteem is quite low in that sense.”
For now Grint is intent on having some fun with his toys: he owns an ice-cream truck and hovercraft among other gadgets, but he does seem to want a future in movies.
“From here on, I don’t want to play it safe. I need to take on roles that are as far away from Harry Potter as it’s possible to get. If I’m to continue as an actor, I need to play characters that are nothing like me at all.”
I love watching Grint and can’t wait to see his last film ‘Cherrybomb.’ I hope he is able to distance himself from the Ron Weasley character in the way that Daniel Radcliffe is working on doing with Harry Potter. Emma Watson just doesn’t feel as passionately about acting as the other two but if she does try to continue on, she will need to do the same thing and take on roles that do not remind the audience of Hermione Granger. I for one, am rooting for them all!

Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows Photos
Written by Violet on April 22, 2009 – 8:52 pm -
Filming has begun on the final installment of the Harry Potter series. Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows is currently shooting in London’s Piccadilly Circus and the pictures have surfaced on the net. Emma Watson looks gorgeous as always and I like the costumes for Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint as well.

Rupert Grint Is Super Nervous About Kissing Emma Watson
Written by Gossip Gal on January 18, 2009 – 10:19 am -After knowing Emma Watson for so long and actually growing up together on the big screen, Rupert Grint is dreading the romantic scenes they will have to play for “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”.
“As I’ve known Emma for so long, I reckon it will be 10 times worse,” says the 20-year-old actor, who plays Ron Weasley.
“I really love the seventh book, but there is no way it will be tame with the Hermione stuff.”
But Rupert already has the most amazing technique to break the ice on set – he is bringing a stack of crosswords to distract his co-star between takes.

‘Cherrybomb’ Photo of Rupert Grint
Written by Violet on January 14, 2009 – 7:08 pm -Harry Potter is certainly left behind in this film. Actor Rupert Grint, now 20, is working on films with a definite edge to them and Cherrybomb is no exception. We will see Grint in some steamy scenes with his co-star (and rumored off-screen girlfriend) Kimberly Nixon.
I think this is a great move for him. He needs to be thought of as an actor, not just the ‘Ron Weasley’ character and by taking roles that are so different, he will be able to have a long career in acting, if he chooses.
