Nick Cannon is hosting some amazing teens tonight for TeenNick’s HALO Awards. HALO stands for ‘Helping and Leading Others’ and this generous group understands that reaching out is an everyday occurrence, not just at the holidays. Justin Timberlake, LeBron James, Alicia Keys and Hayden Panettiere suprised the four teens honored by their efforts and handed each a silver baton award. Cannon gave each a check for $10,000 to continue their efforts and a matching check to continue their education. The four winners were:

1. Leah Stoltz, 17 for Curvy Girls of Long Island - a support group for people with scoliosis.
2. Darrius Snow, 18 for working with kids in tough areas using sports as an outlet.
3. Megan Kilroy, 17 for her environmental and community activism.
4. Brryan Jackson, 18 for HIV/AIDS outreach and education.

Congratulations to all the recipients.

Did you catch the show? I thought it was great. I hope they do it again next year with more teens who are so inspirational.

Twilight heartthrob Robert Pattinson looked as handsome as ever in his own shy style, running his hand through his hair a couple million times at the 2009 Teen Choice Awards held at the Gibson Amphitheatre on Sunday (August 9) in Universal City, California.

Robert, who won the award for Choice Movie Actor: Drama, was accompanied by Twilight co-stars Kellan Lutz and Jackson Rathbone… what a cute troop!!

Before heading back up to Vancouver later this month to start filming ‘Eclipse;’ ‘the co-stars of ‘Twilight’ and ‘New Moon’ Christian Serratos and Justin Chon spent time in Los Angeles at the pre-party for the Teen Choice Awards. The onscreen duo of Angela and Eric looked completely comfortable together. They will be joined by the rest of the cast (Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, to name a few) for the awards ceremony on Monday August 10th on Fox.

Actress Selena Gomez couldn’t attend the 2009 Kids’ Choice Awards because she is filming the “Wizards of Waverly Place” in Puerto Rico, but she took the time to make a video of the exact time she learned she had won the Favorite Female TV Star.
