Selena Gomez was simply gorgeous on the blue carpet of the 2011 Teen Choice Awards in Los Angeles at the Gibson Amphitheatre on Sunday, August 7th.

The 19 year-old “Who Says” singer chose a lovely, shimmering soft gold colored dress with sweetheart neckline from Erin Fetherston with long chiffon sash. Gomez accented her look with Brian Atwood strappy heels.

Selena walked away with 5 surfboards for the night including Choice TV Actress for her role in the Wizards of Waverly Place.

She also performed with her band The Scene.

Taylor Swift left with an armful of surfboards from the 2011 Teen Choice Awards held in Los Angeles at the Gibson Amphitheatre on Sunday, August 7th.

She was a cute 50s vision in white on the blue carpet. Taylor opted for a halter style Rafael Cennamo dress with sparkling Ranjana Khan belt and Neil Lane jewels. She topped off her look by pulling her hair back in a ponytail and silver/gray peep toe shoes from Fendi.

Swift landed 6 accolades including Ultimate Choice of the Year. She was presented that honor from friend Emma Stone. She also nabbed Choice Female Artist, Choice Country Artist, Choice Country Single, Choice Breakup Song and Choice Red Carpet Fashion Icon.

Ian Somerhalder took home a surfboard from the 2011 Teen Choice Awards held at the Gibson Amphitheatre on Sunday, August 7th in Los Angeles.

The 32 year-old star of The Vampire Diaries was a winner in the category Choice TV Actor Fantasy/SciFi.

Ian joined costars Paul Wesley and his real life girlfriend Nina Dobrev on stage to present the award for Choice Movie Actor Romantic Comedy to Ashton Kutcher.

Taylor Swift already knows she’s walking away with at least one award from this year’s Teen Choice Awards.

The 22 year-old will be the recipient of the 2011 Ultimate Choice Award which honors those who’ve made “extraordinary contributions to the entertainment industry.”

Swift now counts herself among celebrities like Justin Timberlake, Reese Witherspoon and Britney Spears who’ve taken the trophy home.

The 2011 Teen Choice Awards will be hosted by The Big Bang Theory‘s Kaley Cuoco and take place Sunday, August 7th.

Selena Gomez and the Scene and One Republic are scheduled to perform. Paul Wesley, Justin Bieber, Katerina Graham, Chris Hemsworth, Cameron Diaz and Victoria Justice are also tapped for the ceremony.

The 2011 Teen Choice Awards celebrates the best of the year in the teen Universe. Not surprisingly, “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” leads the pack with twelve nominations, followed by “GLEE” with nine and “The Vampire Diaries” with seven nods. BFFs, Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift, also scored six nominations each.

SHOCKER: Teen Choice has apparently “banned” ABC Family’s “Pretty Little Liars” since they have received ZERO nominations. WHAT? Seriously?? PLL is Hitchcock for teens. That’s not fair… even “Teen Wolf” is nominated for something!

The 2010 Teen Choice Awards were fun and fashionable as always and this year, crowd favorite Victoria Justice hit the event in a bright oceany blue colored dress that was flirty and sexy. Seventeen magazine gives props to the teen star’s choice:

“The Nickelodeon star was victorious over the blue carpet in this flowing strapless blue dress, which obtained a special casual-elegance.”

Justice was in good company for the positive nods on their choice of attire for the evening. Keke Palmer, Selena Gomez, David Henrie, Kevin McHale, Shailene Woodley, Lucy Hale and Nina Dobrev all were called out for their great carpet looks.

Gossip Girl is still strong with teens as both Leighton Meester and Chace Crawford took home trophies for Choice Actor/Actress: Drama at the 2010 Teen Choice Awards as the event aired last night (Monday) on FOX. (Check out the full winners list here.)

GG is filming again in NYC but the duo have a couple of other high profile projects waiting to be released. Leighton just wrapped the film Monte Carlo with Cory Monteith and Selena Gomez (which is due out early 2011) and Chace’s latest flick Twelve, with Emma Roberts just released.
