Nickelodeon star Victoria Justice is the hot new cover girl of the upcoming April 2011 issue of Seventeen Magazine. The 18 year-old “Victorious” actress made some controversial statements on “trying things” – Victoria tried it and she did not like it!

Victoria confessed she tried smoking and drinking with her friends, before she realized those habits were just keeping her from having fun. Do not worry. Victoria seems to be a very responsible girl. Here’s what she had to say:

“I”m not going to lie to you: I’ve tried things. I’m not some robot who’s programmed to be perfect. I’ve been to high school parties. And even if I’ve had a drink, it’s always in a responsible way.

I did go through a phase when I wanted to try smoking, and for a minute I did. But shortly after, I just kind of realized it was gross, and I didn’t like anything about it. If I’m at a party, I’m going to dance, not huddle in some corner and smoke or sneak a drink.

I feel that smoking, drinking, and doing drugs are kind of selfish because you end up isolating yourself from everyone else. And I’ve had to make certain choices and be a lot more responsible with my life. I’ve been given a huge opportunity, and I don’t want to let my fans and family down.”

This simply proves Nickelodeon is a much safer place for young stars, when compared to Disney. The beautiful Victoria is wise beyond her years, but she like every other girl she also has insecurities.

Victoria said, “I wasn’t always confident; that’s something I’ve grown into and am still working on. I still have so many insecurities that I’m trying to grow out of. These days beauty is something that feels so enforced. All girls, including myself, have to learn to love themselves the way they are.”

Nickelodeon star Victoria Justice mixed a leopard print with hot black leather pants on the red carpet of the QVC Red Carpet Style Pre-Oscar Party held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles, California on Friday night (February 25)- more pictures below.

This is not Victoria’s best look! But the 18 year-old “Victorious” actress is still too young and beautiful – the girl needs to experiment different looks! I actually prefer to see her in a pretty princess dress, but our Victoria is growing up.

Victoria celebrated her latest birthday (February 19) by throwing a party for some of her friends, including Nick Jonas, Dylan and Cole Sprouse and Drake Bell at Tru Hollywood in Los Angeles, California.

Justin Bieber gave Nickelodeon’s cast of Victorious a little preview of his upcoming movie Never Say Never 3D last weekend.

Star Victoria Justice said on twitter:

“Had fun with @JustinBieber and the ladies of Victorious today. #NeverSayNever3D #purpleglasses.”

Justin replied similarly:

“Just finished hangin on set and talking about #NeverSayNever3D with everyone from @Victorious. Good people. Follow them.”

The Victorious twitter account posted photos of Justin on set with Justice, Ariana Grande, Daniella Monet and Elizabeth Gilles all hanging out on the couch.

Was the shoot for an episode? I don’t think so. It looks like the cast shot intro promos for a special weekend event coming up in February. Justin and the Victorious cast will show preview clips of Never Say Never in breaks from a new episode of the show (if I’m right.)

Either way we get a little bit of Bieber and Victorious in February – sounds good to me!

Victoria Justice takes her responsibility as a role model very seriously. The Victorious! star is aware that young girls look up to her and she wants to set a good example.

With that in mind, Justice was loooking for a cause that would truly make a difference in young people’s lives. The United Nations campaign Girl Up was a perfect match.

Justice told Zooey magazine:

“I am very mindful of the audience I am reaching, and that many look to me to see what I’m doing,” says Justice. “If I can help raise awareness, funds and have others feel that they want to do the same, then that’s a very cool thing. It’s really very easy to get involved, and with as little as five dollars, you can change someone’s life.”

Victoria is passionate about helping impoverished and underprivileged girls around the world. If you haven’t gotten involved with Girl Up – put it on your 2011 New Year New Resolutions list!

Victoria Justice is pretty in a strapless peachy pink dress and awesome oversize floral cuff for the cover of the 2011 issue Seventeen Prom.

Justice, who’s never been to a prom, dishes to the mag about finding the right dress, don’t be desperate for a boy (amen, sister!) and what she thinks prom should be all about:

On finding the perfect party dress: “All of the outfits that I’ve worn have made me feel special in different ways, but fit is so much more important to me than wearing a designer brand. I’d rather find a really cheap dress and have it fit me.”

On what prom means to her: “I think prom is just about enjoying yourself. You shouldn’t have to worry about guys at all. It should just be about hanging out with your friends and having the best time you’ve ever had. And even if you don’t have the best time you’ve ever had, you’ll have plenty of good times in the future. I don’t think there has to be so much pressure put on this night. Just take it easy and have a positive attitude, and you’re going to have a great night either way.”

On finding a perfect prom date: “Guys don’t like girls that throw themselves at them. That’s something that I’ve learned. I feel like a lot of girls do things to get attention for a guy to notice them, but you don’t want to do the wrong things to get attention. A guy wants a classy girl who is smart and has goals — someone that he wouldn’t be afraid to bring home to his parents.”

I just love Victoria! She’s very smart and self-assured.

Selena Gomez and Victoria Justice hit the red carpet for the 2010 Hollywood Style Awards in Westwood, California at UCLA’s Billy Wilder Theater in the Hammer Museum.

The Disney and Nickelodeon stars both shimmered in silvery shiny dresses; Gomez in Max Azria Atelier and Justice wore Vivienne Westwood.

Gomez presented her Monte Carlo costar Cory Monteith (see Cory photos here) with the Future Style Icon, Male award at the fashionable celebration.

Adorable Victoria Justice appeared on Jimmy Fallon‘s late night talk show last week and the actress was as sweet and cute as ever. Justice and Fallon talked about karaoke and the Victorious special “Freak The Freak Out,” her Thanksgiving day after her parade appearance and there was a little impromptu dance at the beginning with Justice, Fallon and SNL’s Bill Hadler. Victoria Justice gets a ride on the Build-A-Bear Workshop float for the 84th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade 2010 in NYC. The 17 year-old actress of Nickelodeon’s hit show Victorious! wore a bright red winter coat as she kept cozy in the cold temperatures of the parade route.

Justice sang her new song “Freak The Freak Out” from the same-named episode that premieres tonight (Friday November 26th) on Nick.

Nickelodeon’s hit show Victorious! has a brand new episode on Friday, November 26th. “Freak The Freak Out” has karaoke, scheming club owners to foil and wacky hi jinks from the super talented cast. Victoria Justice, Ariana Grande, Elizabeth Gilles, Avan Jogia and Daniella Monet star.

In “Freak the Freak Out,” Tori (Justice) and her friends are excited to try out Karaoke Dokie, a karaoke club that features weekly singing competitions. On competition night, Jade (Gillies) and Cat (Grande) partner on a prize-worthy performance, but the club’s owner rigs the competition so his daughter and her obnoxious friend win. Tori and the gang have to figure out a way to expose the cheating girls and show everyone who can really sing.
