Hey, those are New GIrl star Zooey Deschanel’s words, not ours!

Maybe it’s because they both have bangs or something…

Apparently, Taylor Swift, who will appear as a surprise guest (in more ways than one, hint hint!) on the New Girl season finale tonight, was “super funny” during filming and Zooey and the rest of the cast absolutely loved having her on set.

She’s awesome. She’s super-funny and really smart. Very professional and we loved working with her.

Okay, it’s not like we ever doubted that Tay-Tay was a smart girl – but super funny?  Yeah, we just didn’t see that one coming.

Max Greenfield who plays Schmidt echoed Zooey’s enthusiasm adding that Swift’s presence on set was,

One word: Magic. I was like, ‘Just sing it, Taylor. Just sing it for everyone here. Sing it for the crew, do the foot stomp with it. And just let it go.’

I could see that she wanted to but then she felt like, ‘Am I gonna do that?’ But I don’t think she realized how much we all wanted to hear her. I love that song, I’m telling you she was magic on the set, magic. Felt like we had a really good thing going, me and her.

Well color us surprised!  We’ll just have to tune in tonight to see what all this “magic” is about!

You all know that New Girl star Zooey Deschanel is one our absolutely fav-or-ite gals in Hollywood, but what you may not know is that they absolutely stunning actress/singer/ukelele player has sworn off dieting – forever!

In an interview with Glamour, the 32-year-old doe-eyed brunette opens up about her aversion to the anorexic epidemic going on in L.A. these days.

Actresses have definitely gotten thinner over the course of my lifetime . . . There are a lot of actresses who are unhealthy-skinny — much, much too skinny. You can’t Pilates to that… I’m a very small person, and if I lost 15 pounds, I’d look like them; it’s scary. For young girls, what does that say? You need to look this way to be successful? That’s not true. You do not need to look or be anorexic to be successful in Hollywood. The range of what’s acceptable is larger than what people believe.

Gosh, could we possible love this girl any more?

The My Idiot Brother star went on to explain why she adores working on her hit sitcom with the folks at FOX.

I’m just going where the material is… Some of the smartest people run the network I’m on. People sometimes say, ‘Oh, you were a movie star,’ and I’m like, ‘No, I was a supporting actress.’ I wasn’t an A-list actress, and I’m fine with that.

Zooey, who recently divorced her husband of nearly three-years, Death Cab for Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard, also shared that despite this bump in the road, she’s not yet given up hope on finding that forever-kind-of-love – especially because her parents have been married for over 40 years now and her grandparents were married for nearly seven decades!

My dad is so sweet; he’s always like, ‘Your mom is a better cook than any restaurant.’ And I remember my grandfather looking at my grandmother, saying, ‘She’s the most beautiful woman in the world.’ You can’t get any better than that. But we live in a different time… I don’t get it when people just have the goal of meeting someone—then it’s only about the goal. I’ve never been a five-year planner.

New Girl star Zooey Deschanel stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live to chat about her 2012 Primetime Emmy experience and can we just say, it wasn’t exactly what we were expecting!

The chatty FOX standout candidly opened up about her time spent hanging out before the awards with Hollywood A-lister Katy Bates and a bunch of -gasp!- toilets!
