Twilight hunk Taylor Lautner is finally getting rid of sexy teen werewolf image to star in an action thriller entitled “Abduction”, also starring some big names like Alfred Molina, Danny Glover and Sigourney Weaver. Hot new actress Lily Collins will play Taylor’s on-screen love interest.

The first production stills from the movie have just been released (pictures below). We have the opportunity to see the 18 year-old superstar in action and get closer look at how good Lily and Taylor look together. In my humble opinion, this movie has everything to be blockbuster!

Getting trapped in a futuristic prison is on the horizon for Taylor Lautner. The Twilight Saga actor is attached to star in Incarceron, the adaptation of the Catherine Fisher novel.

Lautner will star as Finn, a 17 year old prisoner who has found the ability to communicate with Claudia, the daughter of the Warden of Incarceron. Claudia is headed for an arranged marriage and is convinced Finn can help her find a way out.

Lautner is working on the last of the Twilight films, Breaking Dawn. He will also star with Lily Collins in Abduction in 2011.

Now if only they would announce who will star in The Hunger Games…

Lily Collins has grabbed up a role in big screen adaptation of YA novel City Of Bones. The Blind Side actress has just landed the deal to star in the film that Scott Charles Stewart will direct. Stewart and Collins have worked together before on the clergyman- turned-vampire-hunter movie Priest, starring Paul Bettany and Cam Gigandet.

While the original article doesn’t say specifically which role she has (it says only “set to star”) I believe that means Collins will have the Clary Fray role (not Isabella Lightwood.) She definitely fits the physical description of Clary – 15 year old, red hair and freckles – more than Isabella.

Along with Priest, Collins also has Abduction with Taylor Lautner coming out in 2011.

I love Cassandra Clare’s The Mortal Instruments series and look forward to more casting on this.

The Last Song actor Liam Hemsworth has found himself a juicy new role. No he’s not on again with Miley Cyrus (not that we know of anyway.)

The super hot Aussie has been cast by John Singleton in the thriller Broken Run. Run will give Hemworth the chance to take on the political intrigue of Washington D.C.

Singleton has also finished Abduction with Taylor Lautner and Lily Collins.

Lily Collins and Taylor Lautner have been flying waaaay under the radar as a couple for a few months now and Collins decided it’s time for Taylor to meet her folks. Lily’s dad is drummer Phil Collins and like my most fathers he keeps a close eye on who dates his little girl:

‘He (Phil)’s pretty tough on the guys Lily introduces him to,’ one insider revealed of the budding starlet’s protective dad.

‘Taylor was nervous about meeting him, but they got along well.’

The two met on the set of their film Abduction but didn’t start dating right away.

Collins has reportedly visited the Breaking Dawn set to spend time with Taylor and still the two manage to keep their dates out of the spotlight. Well played!

The 2010 Songwriters Hall of Fame ceremony honored Taylor Swift earlier this week (June 17th) with the Hal David Starlight Award. The 20 year-old received the accolades for being a gifted songwriter who makes an impact on the music industry with their original songs.

Lily Collins was also at the NYC bash as well. The actress has the enviable job of spending weeks with Taylor Lautner later this summer as the duo film Abduction.

Actor Taylor Lautner will be taking off his shirt for his new role in the upcoming movie, “Abduction”. According to Life & Style, the movie script includes a steamy scene where Nathan (Lautner) takes off his clothes as his love interest Karen (possibly played by Taylor Swift! We wish!) takes care of his wounds after he is injured in an explosion.

I have the feeling we will all want to run to the movie theaters to see this movie! And if there’s a Lautner/Swift love story, it will be even hotter. Will you be watching any of the Twilight stars’ non-Twilight movies? Robert Pattinson’s “Remember Me” or Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning’s “The Runaways”??

Taylor Lautner has been attached to LOTS of projects lately: Northern Lights, Cancun, Max Steel, Stretch Armstrong, Abduction and of course The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. What he would or wouldn’t actually film, has been a matter of speculation for months. EW.com is reporting that Lautner has dropped out of Max in favor of Stretch and if the studio gets a director soon, he will film the hot hot hot Abduction before Breaking Dawn.

[...]the studio is frantically searching for a hot, young director to helm this action-adventure that reads like a teenage Bourne Identity. If, however, Lionsgate can’t secure the director in time, Lautner will remain a producer on the film and they will have to find another hot, young thing to star. Interestingly, Northern Lights, the movie that first propelled Lautner’s asking price up to $7.5 million and therefore stalled negotiations on Abduction, is definitely moving forward without the teen star.

What a convoluted mess – after all his hype (and it sure looks like it was ONLY hype!) Lautner will only actually be involved in Breaking D, Stretch A and maybe Abduction. Actually fewer projects for him may be better. I know I was sick of seeing his name for every single action movie – as if there are no other actors available.

The movie rights are being disputed by some big sharks like Dreamworks, Sony and Universal. Taylor is one of the hottest young actors at the moment. He already is set to for big roles in movies like Cancun, Max Steel and Stretch Armstrong.
