For an alleged auto accident that happened back in 2006, Zac Efron will have to answer to Katie Porter in Small Claims Court in Beverly Hills, CA. Porter’s suit claims her vehicle was struck from behind by a Checker Cab that Efron had hit and pushed into her car.

The accident occurred in June, 2006. Porter claims she’s out $3,319.76 and here’s how its broken down — $1,200 for repair costs and $400 for a rental car. As for the remaining damages, Katie’s dad is also a plaintiff and lives in Oklahoma. He’s suing for plane and motel costs for making the trek to small claims court.

Katie’s mom told TMZ.com that the insurance companies of Efron and the cab company could not agree on who should pay the damages and that is why her daughter hasn’t recovered her monetary losses 3 years later.

The UK film set for the latest Harry Potter series is open again after a serious injury to actor Daniel Radcliffe’s stunt double, David Holmes. Holmes was participating in a flying scene with an explosion when something went wrong and he fell, badly hurting his back, requiring spinal surgery.

The film set at the British studio was closed following the shocking accident, with the U.K.’s Health and Safety Executive launching an investigation into the incident. However the crew are now back at work, according to British newspaper the Daily Mirror.

No word as to what exactly went wrong but production seems to be cleared to forge ahead on the seventh and final HP movie. Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows, which will be filmed at one time, and split into 2 movies. The principal actors (Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson) were not on set, and do not begin filming until later this month. After his operation, Holmes, 25, is said to have vowed to not let this accident set back his career.

He has enough money to hire himself a car and be driven everywhere he needs to go, so actor Shia LaBeouf probably won’t be terribly inconvienced that he has a suspended driver’s license for 1 year.

The Transformers actor was involved in an accident July 27th 2008. The other car had reportedly run a red light, however, LaBeouf refused to submit to a chemical/field sobriety test and was placed under arrest by the LA County Sherriff’s Department.

[...]the DA’s office had said that prosecutors instead wanted to file criminal charges against the driver of the other car, who had run a red light.

A Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Sgt. S. Wolf did tell the Associated Press back in July that officers on the spot found it “immediately apparent” that LaBeouf was intoxicated, and then he was placed under arrest.

With conflicting information on who was at fault, it seems that LaBeouf will have to have others drive him for a while. The actor is recovering from surgery to his hand, to repair damage done from another accident.
