‘Stretch Armstrong’ Pulls In Taylor Lautner
Written by Violet on February 15, 2010 – 6:47 am -The Taylor Lautner movie machine keeps rolling. Hasbro, owners of successful toys-turned-live-action flicks like Transformers and G.I. Joe, are teaming up with Universal Studios to get Stretch Armstrong on the big screen and make some dough.
“In the past two years, Taylor has emerged as a real star at the global box office,” Universal Pictures co-chairman Donna Langley said.
“He brings the perfect balance of energy and athleticism to the role of an unlikely super hero with a fantastic super power. We couldn’t be more pleased that he has agreed to be our Stretch.”
Aiming for a summer 2012 release date, this movie could get crowded with other Lautner pics: Northern Lights, Cancun and Max Steel. Are you ready for Taylor’s turn at super stardom with all these action flicks?

Robert Pattinson: ‘New Moon’ Storyline Is Not Just For Girls
Written by Violet on December 4, 2009 – 10:09 pm -The Twilight Saga’s second film, New Moon, has been promoted as having more action and fighting than the first, giving it more appeal to guys. Actor Robert Pattinson feels it shouldn’t matter - a good storyline is something that both sexes should find watchable.
“I keep being told by people that I need to pump up all the stuff about the action and all this stuff for the guys to go and see it,” Pattinson says. “It’s ridiculous. It’s like saying guys can’t appreciate romance. I don’t think that you can say that about GONE WITH THE WIND or something. I’ve watched TITANIC and I didn’t think, ‘Oh, this is a girl’s film.’ Unless you’re a complete idiot of a guy, I don’t really think … and especially in NEW MOON and in the whole series I’ve never played it as if I’m playing a series of girl’s films, doing something just for girls.”
For the guys out there who have seen NM - what did you think? Did you go because you wanted to check it out?
Playing one of the most popular romantic leads in a movie, Pattinson is giving less interviews and being a bit more careful with what he says. This two part interview appears to be a compilation of quotes. Check it out here.

Megan Fox Disses Her Director
Written by Violet on July 3, 2009 – 11:39 pm -
Megan Fox is red hot right now and can say and do as she pleases, including talking trash about her latest film Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, even if it bothers her powerful director Michael Bay. Fox has been widely quoted as saying this about her movie:
“I mean, I can’t s— on this movie because it did give me a career and open all these doors for me. But I don’t want to blow smoke up people’s a–. People are well aware that this is not a movie about acting.”
Bay does not agree with her:
“She says some very ridiculous things because she’s 23 years old and she still has a lot of growing to do. You roll your eyes when you see statements like that and think, ‘Okay Megan, you can do whatever you want. I got it,’” he goes on.
Bay cites the fact that after appearing in his movies as unknowns, many actors and actresses become huge celebrities after including Fox and her co-star Shia LaBeouf.
I don’t really see why he’s bothered by it. Megan is right - you’ll never win an Oscar from a Bay directed feature. It’s not about the story or the characters - it is about special effects and spectacular camera work. The movies are popular and he and the cast makes boatloads of money so no one leaves empty handed.
