I knew I loved this guy.

30 Rock star Alec Baldwin caught some flack last week after being thrown off an American Airlines flight for refusing to turn off his phone prior to takeoff, because he was playing Words with Friends.

Dressed up as a AA pilot Steve Rodgers, sent to make a public apology to the actor, Baldwin stopped by the set of Weekend Update to poke fun at the incident and get back in America’s good graces.

Hey, even if he is a bit of a pretentious you-know-what, Jack Donaghy can do no wrong in my book.

Lest we all start thinking that celebrities can do whatever the please, an American Airlines flight attendant has finally done what countless law enforcement officials are too afraid to do – stand up to a famous person. 

On a flight out of LAX late last night, actor Alec Baldwin was forced to deplane after refusing to turn off his cellular device.

The star of NBC’s hit comedy 30 Rock, took to his Twitter to voice his outrage.

The flight attendant on American reamed me out for playing Words With Friends while we sat at the gate, not moving… No wonder American Air is bankrupt.

Baldwin’s rep added that,

Alec was asked to leave the flight for playing Words with Friends while parked at the gate. He loves WWF so much that he was willing to leave a plane for it, but he has already boarded another AA flight.

A few of Baldwin’s outraged fellow passengers took to their respective Twitter accounts to sound off on the events,

On an AA flight at LAX. Alec Baldwin removed from the plane We had to go back to the gate. Terrible that everyone had to wait.

While the details of the story are primarily based on heresy (a few passengers swear that Baldwin was actually talking on his phone and not playing WWF) I think Baldwin’s publicist summed it up best in this Tweet.

hey @American_AA: How come ok 4 other 1st class passengers 2 tweet while @alecbaldwin asked to leave while using his device?#hypocrisy.

My mother is going to be so happy… I think it’s really cool that a guy who doesn’t look like a model can have this [title].

The issue hits stands each Friday and will feature Hollywood hunks, Ryan Gosling (yes, please!), Idris Elba, Justin Theroux, Chris Evans, Tim McGraw, Josh Charles, Joel McHale and Alec Baldwin (love him) among others.

Chloe Moretz spent the evening in New York City at the Hammerstein Ballroom for the First Annual Comedy Awards.

Moretz was a presenter for the show and gave the Best Comedy Actor in Television award to 30 Rock’s Alec Baldwin. The 14 year-old was a guest star on the show with Baldwin back in February.

The Kick-Ass star is currently filming Hick in North Carolina but she has another big project coming along.

“Omg guys ur gonna freak!! I just booked one of the biggest projects and I’ve always wanted to work with this director cnt say but will soon!” Moretz said on twitter.

Oh! Can’t wait to find out what it is!

The Comedy Awards will air April 10th on Comedy Central, VH1 and Nick-at-Nite, among other cable channels.

Kick-Ass star Chloe Moretz landed a sweet guest spot on NBC’s 30 Rock.

Moretz let everyone in on her surprise earlier in the week with twitter:

So!! Tomorrow I start filming #30Rock bright and early, so you all should expect tweeting to start before the sun shines…oh yes <3 Night!

After she finished filming, she said:

Chord Overstreet attended the Lotus Car Launch at a private residence in Beverly Hills on Friday, November 12th. The actor got to hang with Demi Moore, Alec Baldwin and Olivia Munn as the celebs got to peek at the new offerings from the famous British car brand.

Overstreet and the rest of his Glee cast mates will get mini-me versions of themselves in the Tuesday November 16th episode “The Substitute.” Gwyneth Paltrow guest stars as Mr. Schuester (Matthew Morrison) gets ill and hallucinates the child alter egos of his teen show choir team. Hosting is Alec Baldwin and I wonder if his teen daughter, Ireland, will show up with dad to peep the brothers.

Slumdog Millionaire is on everyone’s mind right now as we head into Awards season and the unknown London teenager who is the star, Dev Patel, is anonymous no longer. Patel is still reeling from his nomination at the Golden Globes one week ago and he is awestruck over the celebrities who want to meet him.

Patel says, “It’s been like a whirlwind. I was taken straight from the airport in my jeans to a posh tea party. I was still holding my passport when I got introduced to Clint Eastwood. I was embarrassed because I felt a bit smelly! When we got to the Golden Globes it was completely full-on. Demi Moore came up to me on the red carpet. Then Drew Barrymore took me to one side for a 10-minute chat.”

“Later, Alec Baldwin said some amazing things. Sting came over and said he loved the film and gave me a lovely hug. Tom Cruise and Leonardo DiCaprio shook my hand. Even P Diddy recognized me! How mental is that! I’m just some lad from Harrow (in London)!”

Great for Patel! That’s an amazing ride he’s on. Enjoy it.
